I’ve been to probably a dozen different KBBQ places in my life. I’ve never been to a set up like this. Here, it’s set up as a buffet style! I love it! You get to grab what you want when you want. I prefer this! You’re not pressured with asking for more, nor do you have to wait on staff to refill your side dishes. Price is cheaper as compared to nearby locations. However, meat selection is more limited.

Everything else here are wonderful. Love the delicious meet here and they will help you cook them if you’d like. We specifically love their sweet rice drink and went for that. However, we waited for an hour for them to refill it. We asked and they kept telling us it’s ready and we kept going back to the salad bar only to find the empty container. Is it that hard to refill the sweet rice drink?!

Probably the most dangerously unclean restaurant/buffets I have ever been to. I travel a good deal for work so I’m in many restaurants each year. And, have worked in the food industry myself running restaurants. Their health dept score, as of November 2015, is only 81b and if you read the report you will find that they were cited with multiple health and sanitary violations! This includes finding roach droppings in the food storages and roaches actively breeding in those storages. The violations also state that none of the staff had been properly trained in maintaining sanitation. While we were sitting at the table, the waitress took raw meet and placed it on the cooking plate along with already cooked meat, allowing it to touch… cross contamination! The sushi bar has time limits. They had these listed that the food had been put out at 11am and needed to be fully changed out at 3:00pm. 3pm came and went and they never changed the food out. They just changed the time on the cards. You can follow this link to view the health report.

*** BEWARNED *** Unbelievable. A few of us visited this place together. And where blown away. I ultimately demanded my money back and walked out. There is nothing about this place that is good. Nothing. I can sum this place up in one word: INEPT This review is similar to his because his about sums it up. Probably the most dangerously unclean restaurant/buffets I have ever been to. About once a year, I go for the bbq overload. Meh side items, great health scores 3 years now. Don’t go for service or amazing cuisine… The ayce grilled meats that is the star of the show. I do my own grilling to avoid salmonella from other tables meats .

Worst place I’ve ever been. Bad service, prices are not resonable for their services. I came in with 8 people and left $ 10 for tips but the waitress held us back and ask for $ 16 more. I felt disrespectable, they should put the sign for tips. I will never go back here again and the food is not good at all.

Pretty good choice of place if you wanted varies of Korean food along with your own personal BBQ grill to cook freshly prepared meat. Pricing is pretty okay for an all you can eat Korean buffet.

Korean Bbq! What more can you ask for! Its an All You Can Eat Korean Bbq, located in Satellite Blvd and Pleasant Hill Duluth. First, the interior is dirty, the dishes have stains which can be overlooked, and customer service is just mediocre. I have been eating here since 2006 and each time I dine here, it is getting worse. The waitress is somewhat attentive, but the worst part is that they love to argue with the customers. There is a small sign at each table stating to finish all the Korean Bbq or you will be charged. Instead of asking nicely, they love to force the customer to finish it. Policy or not, rule number one for ALL Restaurants is to NEVERARGUEWITHCUSTOMERS. The waitresses are in need of formal training. Second, the food is just edible. The meat is covered with fats, and there are other Restaurants that are cheaper and better. The sushi is not fresh and the hot and cold buffet foods are just a waste of room in my stomach. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere. Try Breakers! They have excellent quality food with outstanding Customer Service.

When you arrive, you are greeted by the nice ajummas. People definitely come here for the quantity rather than the quality, and for the price, it’s worth it, but not if you are trying to impress somebody. They serve some sushi and chinese food and various Korean food, but the meat pile is the star attraction. I can’t really tell the difference between meat quality, but this place is still good to my palate and I haven’t had any negative side-effects from eating here on 2 separate occasions. They have meats that are pre-marinated and some that are not. The other food items on the buffet can be a hit or miss. Try to get only what you can eat or they will charge you for any meat left on your table. Plenty of parking space right outside the restaurant.

You come here for quantity and not quality. We have been to other all you can eat Korean barbecue places in new York. And I can say they all taste very similar The meat is not good quality but lots of varieties of different meat. They also have other items like Korean pancakes, fried fish, fried chicken, etc and they all taste awful. Stick with the meat here Service could improve a bit. They were slow on refilling our water, and cooking the meat for us. Overall again, come here when you are craving for meat!

I love Chow Won Buffet and have been here several times. If you want a more affordable choice than Honey Pig, this is your option. Forget the«buffet,» it’s not why you come here. You go get you flavored meats, piled high on plates and bring them back to be expertly cooked at your table by friendly servers. If you want some generic sushi or Chinese options, knock yourself out, but the meat is star attraction. I suppose I wish they had more options for the meat, but for the price, it’s worth it.

Wow I can’t believe how bad this place is… Being Korean this place does not do it justice. Meats were not good quality, marinades not good, the vegetable dishes were not fresh, sushi not at all fresh, not even the easy stuff was done right(fried dumplings, bulgogi, Korean pancakes). Not worth $ 13 for lunch and will never come back!

Have a love and hate relationship with this place. Can’t seem to reach a balance whenever I come here. First time here was great, got their buffet and endless korean BBQ and was in heaven. Service was great and on their toes and I never wanted to leave. Second time was debatable. For some reason I didn’t remember it being so expensive so was kind of taken back when I saw the bill. Meat seemed like it sat out for hours(despite it being lunch) and just couldn’t find myself to eat anymore, which was such a shame because I was paying 15 $(I think I went on a holiday that’s why). Will definitely try again some time in the future.

I was excited to try this low priced meat buffet. I didn’t expect much since it’s a buffet but I was blown away by the subpar tasting food. First off the weekday lunch is now $ 13 with meat. Woah, not really low priced for what you get. The meat was just below average and not great. For lunch you get spicy chicken, spicy pork, regular pork, and beef(there are more choices for dinner like seafood.) They also have sushi rolls but they aren’t really worth it. It’s more like Korean rolls, which is veggies. The dessert was a couple of fruit, one cake, and cookies. The real problem is everything else they have. All the side dishes are so bland. The radish was the only good dish. The kimchee tasted bad and the other sides were just so bland or not tasty. The seaweed side was really bad as well as the cucumber side. The cooked foods included a lot of fried items like Korean pancakes and dumplings but I didn’t try them. They have a lot of meat in the cooked section like wings and different meat and chicken dishes. They were either cold, hard, bland, or a combo of the three. The buckwheat noodles taste like nothing. The lady who helped us was friendly and cooked our meat for us. She checked back regularly. The place is pretty large but old and reasonably maintained. I understand it’s a buffet but I was not impressed with the taste. If the taste was better the price wouldn’t be an issue. I would not recommend this place.

Finally, I went to this restaurant with my friend this noon. It’s a Korean BBQ buffet restaurant. All kinds of traditional Korean food such as pancake which is one of my favorite Korean food. And I really like the spicy rice cake very tasty and chewy. and few kinds of raw meat for BBQ.(Chicken, beef and pork.) They also serve a lot kinds of sushi. Definitely Korean flavor and Korean style. The only thing I feel a little disappointed is no seafood for serving today. But it was still good.

My first time here was a few years ago so I didn’t remember much from the experience, but recently I needed a less expensive all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ than Honey Pig to take my coworkers to. I remembered Cho Won and I am so glad I did! This was my coworkers’ first experience with Korean BBQ and Cho Won blew their minds! They had already feasted 3 plates of the delicious korean food buffet when they saw one of the sweet old ladies come over to grill the meat for us. We only got through about half of the meat options which included pork, chicken, shrimp, squid – all marinated with the most delicious sauce! The guys were scared after seeing the«Must pay for meat leftover» sign, but our server laughed and said it was fine since we only had a few scraps left. I’m super glad I’ve found an alternative to Honey Pig with more meat options that I dare say is better marinated. Now my coworkers are clamoring for a return trip!

One of my favorite place to go for AYCEBBQ. They have pork, chicken, beef, shrimps, and squids where you can BBQ, and the other side are cooked food. They also have a section for sushi, however I am not really a fan of their sushi. It’s kind of dry… like low quality sushi. My husband and I normally get the beef and squid. They both are well marinated(I am a fan of the squid… it’s a bit more on the sweet side but not overpowering). The staff is friendly. I noticed it’s mostly women that serve you. They will go around and cut up your food into bite sizes. Prices depends on the timing that you go, and/or weekday vs. weekend. I recommend going on the weekday, so you can bypass the wait.

Buffet style Korean BBQ. Endless meat for a fixed price. The first time I ate here, I wasn’t very adventurous. I didn’t know or even understand the banchan, but I knew what most of the items on the hot-foods side of the buffet were. However, after eating at more and more Korean restaurants, I’ve come to identify them(important) and appreciate them(more important if you don’t just want to eat grilled meat and fried rice). Cho Won has their prices posted at the front of the restaurant, so keep an eye on that when you come in, because that’s the only place you’ll see it. Speaking of which, lunch is the best time to come in because the prices are cheaper and there aren’t as many customers. The service has always been extremely friendly and attentive. They don’t let you man the grills yourself. Instead they come over, place the meat on it, cut it, and flip it for you. You just pick off the pieces when they’re done. It’s a different experience. They are never out of food on the buffet, and I haven’t seen an instance on any of the different sections(banchan, hot-foods, sushi which is meh, and raw meats) where there was only 1 piece left.

This place has a lot of hit or miss items. A LOT of the hot buffet items are overcooked and dried out like the dumplings, korean sweet potatoes, and marinated chicken wings. They have an open sushi bar, but a lot of the rolls have super dried out nori wrapping on them and are of okay or below quality. Now that the negative is done with, let’s focus on the positive that would keep me coming back: –REALLY delicious korean bbq beef galbi –they provide korean cold noodles(naengmyun) unlimited –their soups(korean spicy«yookggaejang» or miso) are really delicious –they have a full section of different korean side dishes which are delicious –staff cooks meats for you and maintain clean stations

Cho Won Buffet is a Korean BBQ buffet and, to my knowledge, the only one of its kind in the Atlanta area. Sure, there are a lot of all-you-can-eat(AYCE) Korean BBQ restaurants, especially in Duluth, but Cho Won is the only restaurant with a self-serve buffet of meats, condiments, and banchan(Korean side dishes). In addition to Korean BBQ, the buffet also has a sushi section and a Pan-Asian section(e.g. fried rice, lo mein noodles, etc.). Cho Won has been around for a long time. It may be one of Duluth’s oldest Korean restaurants. When it comes to food, it’s all about quantity over quality here. It’s also a good value. Here is the current pricing for Cho Won: Lunch Monday-Friday: $ 10.99(w/o BBQ $ 7.99) Saturday-Sunday(+ Holidays): $ 13.99 Dinner Monday-Thursday: $ 15.99 Friday-Sunday(+ Holidays): $ 17.99 Even though this is a self-serve buffet, expect to leave a nice tip because the service is quite good. Kind, old Korean ladies circle the premises and keep an eye on the gas grills at each table. If needed, they assist in cooking the meat while you eat. Since it’s their job, they’ll probably do a better job than you. They may even go as far as suggesting different types of meat or adding ingredients to the grill such as pineapple. I like to stick to the Korean BBQ side of the buffet and skip the mediocre-looking sushi rolls and Americanized Chinese cuisine. Korean BBQ meats offered include chicken, pork(pork belly), and beef(beef brisket) in a couple different types of marinade(one spicy and one non-spicy). Squid is also offered. All of the raw meat sitting out may be off-putting to some people, but don’t worry. The meats are timestamped, allowing customers to know how long they’ve been sitting out when they plan to be discarded. Fresh jalapeño and garlic are provided to cook the meat with. There are also two dipping sauces: fermented soybean paste and sesame oil with salt and pepper. Plenty of lettuce leaves are provided to eat with the grilled meats. Many people like to use the leafy greens to make little lettuce wraps. I’m disappointed in the lettuce quality here because it’s often limp and soggy, not crisp and fresh. Warning: When you go to the buffet, don’t put raw meat and other buffet items onto the same plate. Plate the raw meat separately. About 12 different types of banchan are available. This includes kimchi and an assortment of pickled and spicy radishes, turnips, and other vegetables. Generally, the quality of the banchan is mediocre at best. I love seaweed, but I encountered a batch of seaweed here that was inedible(borderline spoiled). The kimchi is also unimpressive. Stick to Cho Won’s bread and butter(BBQ’d meats) and you should be fine. Some other interesting buffet items of note include spicy rice cake and sweet rice soup(for dessert). There are also fruits. The pineapple seems fresh-cut, but other fruits, such as the peaches in syrup, are presumably canned. To be expected at this price point. The restaurant is somewhat worn, but it’s clean for the most part. The interior is spacious and ideal for groups. As mentioned previously, the service is great. The circular gas grill tops are replaced at your table when they become dirty with burnt meat and grease. Overall, Cho Won is an OK Korean buffet. The quality of its meats is towards the lower end of the AYCE Korean BBQ spectrum. However, if you have a big group and/or want to stuff yourself silly for an economical price, come here.
