Food and atmosphere is great! They were great with filling our reservation on time. Downside to this spot, if do not like right places this is not for you. It’s like they turned a small house into a restaurant so you are literally at your table and the table in front and behind you at the same time

Just went to oscars for lunch for the first time yesterday. The soup of the day was asparagus soup and it was DELICIOUS. My vegan Mac and cheese on the other hand was not exactly for me. My fault for going out on a limb with what I was ordering. But everyone else in my group loved their food! I’ll need to give oscars another chance soon!

Help. I’m trapped in the restaurant with horrible service. Will not be back. There have been many tables around us that are getting much better service. We are being ignored. If you want great service — go eat at a restaurant in Upper Arlington.

Love the food here!!! We had smoked salmon deviled eggs and they were amazing!!! The pickled red onions that they garnish with them are a nice compliment to the appearance and taste. Hubby got the rare ahi tuna salad. It was spicy and the tuna is served cold. He really liked it. I had the Walleye with crab sauce, fresh veggies, and a salad. I have had the Walleye here before and it really is worth getting over and over! Not a speedy place to go for when you are in a rush for lunch. However, it is a great place. My only complaint was it was super cold in the restaurant and even colder in the bathroom.

I reserved a table for four here for my nine year wedding anniversary. Made a note of the anniversary in the reservation. No mention was made of the anniversary during our visit, so clearly no one is paying attention to the special request section of the reservations. Disappointing, but not the end of the world. Our server was moderately skilled, but for some reason our food took FOREVER. Once we finally got it, it was pretty good. However, the other aspects of the night left a very bad taste in my mouth. I would return, but probably only if I were with friends that really wanted to go there.

This was my first time at Oscars. I selected because of Restaurant Week. The price point was a $ 25 menu for the selection of food. I think this was a great deal since the Filet Mignon is $ 26 by it self normally. They also had items for restaurant week that were not on the menu normally which I liked. I went for Restaurant Week they had a great selection of food for this special menu. I had the Black Bean Chili which was a medium spice, very good. Then I selected Filet Mignon, 8oz with a mashed potatoes. It was cooked medium well and delicious. It was tender. Then for dessert I had Apple Strudel which was okay not the best dessert I have had. I had a reservation for 2 so we were able to be seated right away. The food came quickly as well too. Overall I would recommend this place as a nice place to try in the city of Dublin.

It’s Restaurant Week in Columbus!!! From January 18th — 23rd, more than 100 restaurants present their food into a special pricing three course menu, which range between $ 15 to $ 35. After going through a tough selection progress, I decide to give Oscar’s a try. As a starter, I decided to order a cup of cocktail pairing up with my entrée. This is a cup of Caramel Delight. I like the creamy texture with a hint of caramel favor. To me, this drink is like Irish coffee. One of the first course option is Black Bean Chili. A touch of sour cream give the chili a different favor compare to other chili that I have before. However, the proportion between the black bean to other ingredients is not balance. Another option is the Thai Stir-Fried Calamari. This includes lightly deep-fried calamari combine with mix of julienne snow peas, carrots, and red peppers. I would say this is my favorite appetizer compared to other hors d’oeuvres. To me, it look like a calamari salad topped with crushed peanuts, cilantro and the sweet and sour sauce. All the favor of the ingredients balance out the oiliness of the deep-fried calamari. Filet Mignon is the main course for the night. The meat was medium cooked. It was topped with stilton cheese, along with a sprayed out honey-garlic yukon potatoes and port wine jus. The crust of filet mignon and the potatoes create a mix of soft and hard texture. I would say the filet is a bit over done for medium and the favor of the stilton cheese is too strong for me. Vanilla Bean Crème Brulee and Chocolate Silk Explosion is the selection of dessert of the night. Nothing too fancy about the crème brûlée, the taste is very common and smooth as always. As for the chocolate silk explosion, it is a big cylinder block of chocolate topped with whipped cream. The base is nuts crumble, with raspberry sauce. To me, it was too overwhelming as a dessert. Overall, the restaurant is very busy on a Friday night. Maybe it is because of the restaurant week as well. I made reservation the night before and luckily that i took the last spot that they have available. I guess I underestimate the popularity of the restaurant week. But I am glad to have this experience tonight and will definitely be a part of this next year.

Hands down best butternut squash soup I’ve had! The tables seemed really close together which made it seem pretty loud but I’m not sure if it was like that because I went during resturant week. I had the veal for dinner which was also delicious.

This was my first time at Oscars. I had never heard of it before but discovered it because of Restaurant Week. We picked this restaurant based on the variety of options and price point. I really like the atmosphere. It’s relatively small on the inside but it’s cozy. You are served bread at the table with butter. The crust was pretty salty. I finished my water very quickly. I understand they were packed tonight but it took forever to get a refill. For my appetizer I got the Thai Stir-Fry Calamari. It was delicious but saturated with a lot of sauce. For my main dish I ordered the Veal with mashed potatoes. It was average. As for the dessert I ordered an apple dish with butterscotch sauce. It had pretty good flavor but I think it would have tasted better being heated up. Overall I thought my meal was ok. I’d come back though to try a cocktail and some appetizers. I saw people that ordered the steak and it looked amazing As for parking, they offer valet or there is a parking lot in the back.

A group and girlfriends and I came here for an ‘After New Years’ celebration… it’s a small, intimate bar. It has an old pub vibe while having higher end food. We started by sharing Deviled Eggs, Crab Louie, Thai-Stir Fried Calamari, and The Meat and Cheese Board. Everything was so exceptionally flavorful. The eggs were light while packing a lot of flavor… I find that the typical deviled eggs are very heavy, but these were quite the opposite. The Crab Louie was by far my favorite… I am on a crab kick and this filled the order! The crab and avocado combination was spectacular. The calamari was my least favorite. the flavors were amazing, but they weren’t as crisp as I had hoped. I ordered the filet which was hedging on decadent. It came with a thicker gravy/sauce and amazing mashed potatoes which appears to have been lightly fried prior to plating. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and the service was top notch… if given the chance, I would definitely dine here again.

Took my brother and his wife, who were in from Cleveland, to Oscars to celebrate our BIrthdays. We’ve not been to Oscars in a couple of years and now I know why. The service was exremely slow and poor waiter even said how short staffed. The restaurant looked like tornado hit and no tables bussed. The men’s room was atroscious and complained twice but nothing you’d expect from a fine dining restaurant. Now on to the food,. We ordered the scallops and andouille and came in a brown Surgar gravy and so sweet unedible. The pork chop was also graced with the same over sugared and terrible. I ordered the angel hair with oil, pancetta, pine nuts and pasta wasn’t dressed, dry and chicken over cooked. The manager we were told was on vacation and the woman who came to table was unapologetic and a good lesson for anyone, on how not to handle a customer complaint. We’ll not be back and when we got our car from valet, young man says nothing he hasn’t heard. We’ll stay with Tuccis and suggest you do the same.

The tuna tacos for an appetizer were delicious! The Salmon with Shrimp fried rice was amazing as well. Even though the restaurant was quite full, we did it have a wait to be seated even without reservations. The three stars are based solely on the service we received from Kenzie. It took 20 min to order and we had to catch her to do so. Felt like we were an inconvenience and not appreciated customers.

This place was kind of hard to find. It looks like a house converted to a restaurant. The food was ok. I thought it would be better. The service was pretty slow(we didn’t get our entrée until a hour later after ordering). We ordered the pork tenderloin, crispy salmon, and the pork spareribs. The ribs were on the dry side, but they have a lot of them, so it made up for it.

If I am keeping it real, I would have to say, Oscar’s is not as good as it use to be. I have been coming here for maybe 10 years. What I notice is the lack of excitement in the execution of the dishes, smaller portions and«safe bets». Now it seems the plates are assembled factory style, with a whole lot of what sounds good, with little imagination added. As for my most recent experience: Admittedly, the 3 grill steak sticks appetizers are really good. I think mostly because of the horseradish sauce. The steaks are prepared medium, which means precooked to me. We tried to order them medium rare, but that didn’t happen. I had the Voodoo Risotto, probably for the 4th time. Each time, the dish gets smaller, as does the seafood portions. The smoked mussels, I would bet, are straight out of a can and an embarrassing filler. I get that Risotto is difficult to make, but you would expect if it is on the restaurant menu, it would be smooth and creamy 99.9% of the time. Not the case here. While others rave about the Walleye, I would describe it as delicate, with no real discerning flavor. Good, but not great. There is more lemon taste than Crab taste in the sauce… still wondering why they call it crab sauce??? The sides would not be memorable, other than there isn’t much there. Maybe a spoon full of green beans? And the green from the green beans are the only color on the Walleye plate. Sometimes the Walleye is from Lake Erie and sometimes it is farm-raised. If that is important to you, you should ask. Olé boy loved the apple streusel because of the walnut ice cream addition. He almost licked that bowl clean. I have never had bad service here. In fact, they are very good about responding to concerns regarding your meal. This last time I really liked our young cute server. She was aiming to please. Having reservations always helps and is easy to do with Open Table. On the weekends, it can get really loud and crowded. They have a bar area with booths, main dining area and patio out front. The inside can be dark because of all the dark wood. Sometimes this can have the right effect. ;) Don’t pay for valet, because oftentimes you can find parking in the back, and enter through the«other» door at the top of a significant flight of steps.(Not for the walking impaired.) Overall, Oscars is a safe bet for a good meal. My rating is based on what I have experienced over the course of time and not just one meal. If you are in the area, I would definitely recommend dining here, but note it is not worth going out of your way.

This is my favorite restaurant in old Dublin. Most of the Dublin restaurants are pricey and under deliver in my opinion. I think Oscars is the best of both worlds. Their bread is awesome! The saltiness makes it unique. The only salad I’ve tried is the balsamic. Once they slightly skimped on the raspberries, but it’s really good. I recommend the voodoo risotto. Scallops are also excellent. My only complaint is that I have arrived at their 5pm opening time sharp before on a Saturday. Service was horrible. Just one of those things where they were pretty dead and we were the server’s only table. Too much multitasking going on at opening time. By far the best place to eat in old Dublin!

We had a good evening with friends. Good eating as well. Appetizers: we had the ‘steak sticks’ and Sushimi Tacos. The tacos were OK but the steak sticks had a really good marinade that made these our tables favorite. Main course: I had the Filet Mignon with Stilton Blue cheese and a side of fried spinach. They had good juicy cuts which were cooked very well, just a bit crisped on the very edge and a perfect medium in the middle. Dessert: I had the white chocolate cheesecake. This was a nice way to finish the meal but the dish wasn’t inspired. I felt this wasn’t the specially at Oscars.

Service: our waiter was super nice, quick with refills and plate removals. Dinner: I got the ribs. Fantastic. I smelled them cooking coming in and I didn’t need the menu. That’s what I wanted. My wife got he pork chops and she died. It was super plump and juicy. It came with a nice corn cake and sweet tater puddin. I recommend this place for a special date. We went for Valentine’s Day. Great decision.

A wonderful dining experience! We had been a few times years ago and went again last night for a birthday celebration. Loved it! The place was bustling and it is very cozy– after all it is in an old house. The service is super professional and wonderful. Every single dish we had was amazing! Oyster tostada appetizer– delish! I’m not a calamari fan, but a bite of theirs was tasty. Our entrees in the group were two voodoo risottos– this is one fun dish! Risotto traditionalists may not find it creamy enough– but I’d they like seafood they will forget all about that. There is a generous portion of shrimp, fried oysters, bay scallops, and the star– smoked mussels. They give it such a deep yummy flavor. My husband really loved their filet with h port wine sauce and Stilton blue cheese. My sister law also liked her seared tuna. Great cocktails and huge wine list. Great place!
