The food here was pretty good although the service however was awful! And if your going on a Friday or Saturday night, expect a wait because it is very crowded.

Great food! I got their regular burger and my husband got the lamb gyro – both delicious, with the added plus of local, fresh ingredients. The waitress was so friendly! We went with our friends who had young children, and 101 Beer Kitchen had a great, simple, healthy kids menu, which we’ll keep in mind for future visitors with kids.

Atmosphere– A little bit of rustic, a little hipster, and a little modern. The vibe is very casual. Service– A Food– I’ve been here many times and they have a pretty good balance of flavors in their dishes. Try their fried chicken sandwich at brunch and their wings. You can’t go wrong with tater tots so get that as well.

This place is very expensive compared to what you get. Went there for lunch today. Everything on the menu sounds amazing and what we had wasn’t bad, but the serving size of the food the give you isn’t even close. We payed $ 5.75 for the pigs in a blanket and they sounded amazing. We get the plate and it was 4 very small pieces of the sausage and very over cooked breading around it. We also tried the ale and cheese soup. The taste was amazing!!! But unfortunately for $ 6 it needs to be more than the cup they give you. The entrées were very good as well but if you haven’t noticed what I’m saying NOTWORTHTHEPRICE!!! $ 13 for a knife and fork pulled lamb pita that tasted like run of the mill pulled pork. I got the mac and cheese as a side instead of the Greek salad, it was a very flavorful and filling.

We had a GREAT experience here! After a long weekend of a lacrosse tournament, we stumbled in on our way home. The atmosphere is awesome, the service was amazing and the food was DIVINE! I had the vegan burger w/greek pasta salad, while my husband and kids had the carnivore pizza and a burger. Everyone was happy with their meals, and left feeling much better :)

Three stars for the food, five for the bar atmosphere. It was a Saturday evening, so even though it was only shortly after 6, it was already busy enough for there to be a wait for tables. There were a few seats left at the bar, though, so I happily grabbed one. The bartenders were friendly and jokey — with me, with each other, with other patrons — and the vibe was infectious. The drink menu was huge, as you’d probably expect, and it had about five ciders on it including one available only in a 750 ml bottle — Ace, I think, which I love. That was a bit much for me alone, though, so I went with a Samuel Smith. I started with the fried pickle slices. They were tasty but so, so, so oily. I stopped halfway through because they’d have filled me up before my main course got there. I’d gotten the vegan burger before as takeout and thought it was pretty average. I was hoping maybe it would be better without a 20-minute drive in between, so I gave it another go. It’s not bad, but it’s not going to draw me back just for it. The bun is quite nice, and the little Greek pasta salad that comes with it(orzo, cherry tomatoes, red onions, some other stuff) was the best part of the meal. The patty is fine(actually I liked it better the next day as leftovers), but there isn’t as much flavor to it as there could be. Although it’s served with a jalapeño tofu cream, it barely penetrates. Tip for vegans(and anyone who likes pasta): the very good Greek pasta salad is also on the menu in the Sides section and could maybe be combined with other items to give you an alternative to the burger, which is the only vegan main course. Nonetheless, I felt very at home sitting at the bar solo, and my overall experience was relaxing and amiable. I’d definitely come here to drink and maybe eat(as opposed to coming to eat and maybe drink). Too bad I was driving that night Since I had to keep my drinking light The beer menu daunts And the food menu taunts But the latter is only all right.

101 Beer Kitchen has above average bar food. Casual dining. Considering the format, it’s a pretty solid food program. It’s not exactly a destination dining location. My family and I were in the sawmill area running errands and decided to eat here on a whim. We opted to to go with the house made tater tots, which were actually quite tasty, albeit just a touch under-seasoned. The shrimp and grits were very good. The pizza was ok. I found the interior design to be lacking any true character or uniqueness. Lots of IKEA level standard looking composite materials. I don’t think 101 is a bad operation, it just didn’t provide any reason to retain my business.

Meal(*****) I ordered the beer cheese soup and a wedge salad with added chicken. Both items were visually pleasing. The soup was about two cups of a rich, dark ‘gamboge,’ and the salad was a cornucopia of vegetables made from a stalk of romain. The beer cheese soup was tangy in the mouth and produced a heavy ale essence in the nasal cavity. It contained two roasted rye chips and some kind of substance that really confused my taste system… smoked bacon. The smoke on this bacon wasn’t any smoke that I recognized, and the chunks were so big and crisp, I thought they were little croutons. It was new and different, and it worked for me. The salad was fresh, crisp, and clean. The dressing was some kind of delicious sour cream ranch mix — it was very thick. It, too, had the smoked bacon. I added some chicken to it, and the chicken was also smoked. Ambiance(*****) It looked much classier from the outside, and it was still pretty classy on the inside. People were there with friends and family, young and old. The ‘Edison’ light bulbs and hard wood tables were pretty boss. Service(*****) We didn’t have a super personal waitress, but everyone from the waitress to all of the serving staff were on point. Special Note(****): The beer was way too overpriced. This place is called a ‘beer kitchen’. The beer should be reasonably inexpensive and abundant, not cost prohibitive like it is scarce. I saw a 12 oz. bottle of ale — nothing special — go for about $ 6.00 at 101BK. The same bottle is sold at Kroger for $ 1.50. It would be different if they were brewing their own or importing super unique beers, but I couldn’t quite understand the reasoning behind these prices. As a beer connoisseur, this left a slight ‘off flavor’ in my mouth, but nothing to ruin the delicious meal, enchanting ambiance, nor the impeccable service.

We just love 101 beer kitchen! Went there Sunday for brunch and had the BELT pizza. It was delicious. Everything is always packed full of flavor and service is always good. For dinner we try something different every time. The wedge salad with chicken is My absolute favorite. I have liked everything I’ve eaten there and my fiancé feels the same! Great quality food and atmosphere!

Beer kitchen is a rather busy place even on a weekday evening. We’ve been here before, seen the long line, and moved on. The last time, we decided to grit out the predicted 30 minute wait by waiting at the bar. No open seats at the bar, but fortunately, the table became ready much earlier. They usually take your cell phone number and text you when the table is ready, so that is convenient if you want to walk around, etc. I had the«beergaratia», which was pretty good. For appetizers, the meatballs are not bad. My Muffeletta and Gumbo was really good, while my wife’s salad was eh. I suppose it is not too easy to get terribly creative with a grilled chicken salad ;). The server was friendly. Sometimes we had to strain to get his attention because of the restaurant noise, but when we did, he was very prompt with our requests. Overall, this is a cool place. Certainly worth another visit.

Oh my goodness can one say small portions? Overpriced for what you get. Got a different drink than what I ordered. No offer to swap it out. Basically I feel this place has no idea what they’re doing.

My boyfriend and I used their call ahead Weston because we knew they would have a wait on a Friday. They said it would be an hour to hour and a half. We got there after an hour and had to wait like 15 – 20 minutes. The food is amazing here! We got the tater tots as a starter.(Why I come here) I got the pork belly Cuban sandwich with Mac and cheese. My boyfriend got the pretzel crusted chicken sandwich with sour cream and onion chips. We split each so we could try everything. His chicken sandwich was really good, the chips didn’t have any seasoning at all. My Cuban sandwich was absolutely wonderful! I will for sure have it again. The Mac and cheese was really good too with the crumb on top. I highly recommend this place and using call ahead seating!

Had a reunion brunch here on Thanksgiving weekend and it truly was a perfect place. I was hesitant because they do not take reservations but we showed up exactly at 11am on a Saturday and were promptly seated. They have round tables which are perfect for group conversations and our waitress was very accommodating and patient. She let us do separate checks and took our group photos. The tater tots, eggs benedict with duck, and lobster mac and cheese were the showstoppers. But the large group loved all their food. I am so thankful they let me change the location from a chain restaurant to this local gem. I’m also thankful there’s a new location in Gahanna!

Finally got to try this place! It’s a fun restaurant with great atmosphere! I enjoyed my time here with friends. Food-wise, I had tatter tots and 101 burger. They were decent but definitely lower than my expectations… since people have been raving about this place so much… Great experience overall though! Most likely would come back!

I don’t get over to that corner of town very often, but when I go up to the zoo or visit friends in Dublin, this is one of my go-to places. Good draft selection, as you might expect, but also a nice selection of cocktails on the menu. Everything I have had there to eat has been great, from the burger to the lobster mac and cheese. Also, I’m never one to turn down any combination of bread and cheese, and their pretzel and cheese spread is no exception. Staff has always been friendly and helpful, so it’s a win in my book!

101 is tucked away in a mall, far enough off Sawmill that I missed it at first. The décor is nice, sort of understated but classy. Service was fast and friendly, and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. And man, what I got was good. First, I had a hard time choosing between the much-lauded deviled eggs and the cheese curds. But somehow, the curds seemed even less healthy, and I can always come back, so I got the eggs. The actual eggs and filling are pretty standard, but the toppings of bacon, chives, and fried capers add some great variety. There were plenty of interesting things on the lunch menu, but I went with the Mojo pork. Marinated pork, French bread, fresh veggies. Almost a banh mi, but bigger. Every aspect of it was great, and everything worked well together. It came with superb black beans and rice. I can’t think of any minuses; everything about this place made me happy. Okay, the sandwich started to slide apart because there was so much on it, but I just ate the extra off my plate; I’m not that picky. Plus, I wasn’t able to have beer since I was on the way to work, but that’s not their fault… I will be back. Maybe tomorrow. And there’s another one in Gahanna? Why have I waited this long?

This place has become one of my favorite places to eat! Pretty sure I come here at least a couple times a month. Food, service, drinks, and ambiance = amazingly awesome! The tater tots appetizer is a must order. I get this every time. They are the best tater tots ever! It’s a shareable plate– comes with about 8 – 10 large tater tots drizzled in sauce, scallions with little chunks of bacon. Their food menu is seasonal, but it’s all good! I get the mussels pretty often. They give you a huge bowl of mussels, two pieces of bread and a side of fries. I just tried their spring menu Spanish steamed mussels and they might be my current favorite. It has a pretty spicy tomato broth, but it’s SO good! Chicken sandwiches and pizzas always taste great, and you can’t go wrong with their 101 burger. I also think their vegan burger is awesome and I love my meat! Come in Saturday(11 – 3) and Sunday(10 – 3) for their brunch too! Praline biscuits are sweet and delicious. I also recommend the pork belly benedict, southwest cornbread and chorizo gravy(my fav), and the smoked short rib and eggs. I’m still working my way through the rest of their brunch menu:) My husband also loves the breakfast beer and I like the cider mosa. Their drink menu is pretty extensive with tons of craft beer and fun seasonal drinks. LOVE this place!!:) Tip: you can call ahead and put your name down, but they stopped doing it for parties less than 4 I believe. It’s harder to come here during Friday and Saturday night dinner because it’s usually just my husband and I and the wait is usually pretty long. They do have a large self seating bar area, so that’s an option.
