I usually go to the ohgane in Oakland and I’ve always known about this location but before it wasn’t all you can eat. When I found out it was, my boyfriend and I decided to come here to celebrate me doing well on an exam. We came here on a Saturday around 3PM and there was like no one there thankfully. There were probably omg about 3 – 4 tables taken up. The place in Dublin is pretty much like the one in Oakland. They have the same all you can eat menus. What I love about this place over other kbbq places is they have steamed egg and gyoza. I love those two items so to have it all you can eat is just amazing. We usually order brisket and bulgogi but mostly brisket. Their meat here is good. It’s fresh and good quality. I love their brisket here. You have to eat it with sesame oil and salt/pepper! Even their bulgogi is good with it. I do wish their steamed egg had a little more liquid to it but that’s okay. Their gyoza’s deep fried. I wish they served a sauce with it. Overall, great ayce kbbq place for $ 27. Service is good and food is amazing.

We got the rib eye, brisket, and spicy pork belly. So worth the 26 $ and servers were friendly and attentive. Great experience.

I’m writing a one star review for this restaurant because of the blatant disrespect that was shown to me today. Usually I’ll try to give at least 3 stars. Today me and my mother were excited to go inside before the lunch rush. Their official hours say they open at 11 their open sign was on and they’re front door was also open. We go inside and wait for someone to come out and seat is or at least give us menus. Nothing. Finally the woman who was actually standing at the counter next to the kitchen walks towards us. «Are you open» she ignores us! «Um excuse me are you open?» She finally responds, «uhhhhh nooo» in a confused manner. Honestly as the only waitstaff working she should at least be able to be courteous. This is the second time I’ve been there and have received horrible customer service. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone and will not be returning myself.

Came with a party of seven. Slow service, understaffed, and over priced. 14 bucks for a soup vs 10 everywhere else. They forgot half our order and had to reorder it. Cold inside and no wifi also. Not recommended :’(and I love Korean food…

My boyfriend took me to lunch here a week ago, so finally getting to post a quick review and two photos. The food was fabulous! Every single bite. We got a glass noodles dish, a Korean beef BBQ rib dish, and shrimp tempura. Every bite was fabulous! Piping hot, fresh and delicious. The service was polite, professional, and punctual. All my favorite, and they nailed it. Price, ok, a bit more than we usually pay for lunch or dinner even, but oh well, it was great. We will return soon.

Good for the area. Have i had better, yes, but when you live all the way out here, this is as good as it’s gonna get without having to drive far when you are lazy. Super friendly staff the food was good but slim pickings for $ 26 price tag.

Strictly for the beef tartare. I thought it was fabulous. We walked in probably 20 minutes before close and they wouldn’t seat us, but we got beef tartare to go and they were kind enough to add some banchan. The beef was pretty frozen, but likely for safety reasons. Flavor was great, texture was great, will definitely be back for more tartare!

Mediocre. I have high hopes for kbbq especially AYCE kbbq. Maybe it’s cause I’ve been spoiled by kbbq from SoCal but I honestly thought this place was mediocre. It’s in Dublin/San Ramon area, so I wasn’t at all surprised when it wasn’t the greatest. My favorite kbbq in the area would be Gogi Time in Oakland. The ambiance was subpar and the meats were subpar as well. My boyfriend and I came here for date night and we can eat but it was like they were doubting our capabilities! What I didn’t like was they didn’t bring us out the meat in a timely manner and on top of that they lectured us about leaving three strips of pork belly stating that next time we would be charged for wasting food. Honestly, that was rude! I live in the south bay and we have Gen Bbq as well as the«Korean Row» on El Camino in Santa Clara and never have I been told or even given that type of statement. I was appalled at the type of service they provided. To top it off, they didn’t even give us the yakult dessert. I’m never coming back here and I wouldn’t recommend it. My boyfriend lives in the area but I would still make him drive to Oakland for better food, better service, and most of all nicer people.

Okay, it may seem self-eccentric me wanting to to to Ohgane Korean Resturant alone, but I do want the Banchan(side dishes) all to myself, bwahahaha. Seriously though, OKR is a proper Korean restaurant with a proper Spicy Pork Belly for a lunch menu. Coupled with the side dishes, you will get your heart’s fill at a great value. And just like their Oakland location, Dublin OKR also serves unlimited portions throughout the day! This is great because the family can get together for a Korean BBQ dinner in a closer location.

Came here for lunch seeking out some tofu soup. I opted for the miso mixed soup. Though I never had that particular one before, it seemed average. It really did not have me wanting it again. The service was below standard though. The waiter did say to let him know if I wanted anymore of the sides when he gave me my food. But he never came back to give me water refill or check on me. And there were only two other tables. Also, had to wait quite a while for the check. They have AYCE option but i dont think i would come for that, could see myself getting frustrated with service for that and based on reviews they probably intentionally keep things slow to limit food consumption.

This is really not a good Korean BBQ place. It is the only BBQ place where you can grill your meat at the table here in this area but it’s not good. It’s actually pretty bad! This place would have no chance to compete with great restaurants in South Bay. The food screams MSG! The stew is not really authentic. We had daen jan jiggae and it was one of the worst I had eaten at the restaurant. The meat quality is questionable as you get lots of fat and doesn’t taste that fresh. I really cannot recommend this place and definitely not worth paying that much money! I rather drive a little further and get better food instead of a bad aftertaste and heartburn from all the MSG.

My mom and her golf buddies always seek out Korean restaurants and they made a bit of a longer trip to come down to this Ohgane in Dublin. Mom was overjoyed because she doesn’t like to drive to the Oakland Ohgane b/c of the small parking lot and she doesn’t like O-town in general. Anyways, she treated us both for lunch. While we were walking in, she asked me what the Unilocal reviews were and I told her that most people say the food was average, but the service is terrible. Right on both counts. I really don’t have a whole lot to say about this place. While the atmosphere was clean and nice, the service was typical of most Korean restaurants: understaffed and lacking as a result. There was this one younger gal — -felt sorry for her. She was working like a mad woman, trying to cater to everyone. But like most of us, we only have two legs and two arms. The kalbi was bland. The banchan was mostly bland and flat. I got the naeng myun and the broth was so watery. My mom had bibim naeng myun and the noodles were so soft from overcooking. Sauce was more sweet than spicy. WTH. My recommendation is to go to Korea Village on Santa Rita and Valley in Pleasanton. About 5 miles away if I guesstimate correctly. See my reviews on that place.

My husband and I really enjoy going here. The service is friendly and fast. Banchan is good and plentiful. We usually order jap chae and bulgogi or bbq chicken. I would say the bbq chicken(spicy version) is better than the bulgogi. But that’s personal taste. The food is plentiful. I was not disappointed and will keep going back. We usually do not cook our own food, but so many people do. The ventilation system is great, so if you are phobic about cooking smoke, you won’t have that problem here. I will add my usual comment about no or few caucasions. When a restaurant has mostly Asian people, I am happy. Too many white people in an ethnic restaurant means the food has been bastardize to make it palatable to Americans.

New owner New menu New prices New attitude equals 4 stars Ohgane Korean Restaurant in Dublin has started anew. New menu has stews, cooking stone bbq, KFC(Korean Fried Chicken) as well as the KBBQ items. We ordered the BBQ ribs, Tofu soup, Spicy beef and cabbage stew, and the Jap Chae. Service was good. Kitchen still a little slow. Plenty of parking.

There are times when you go out to eat where you marvel at the food. In this instance, I was amazed at how bland and dry someone could make chicken thighs. I am Half Korean and my wife is full Korean, so when it comes to Korean food I do know what I’m talking about. So the Dak Gui is bad, really bad. Unseasoned and cooked so wrong that it arrives from the kitchen pasty white. The whole reason we went here was because my son wanted Kalbi. So when his order arrived from the kitchen, the pieces has only 2 bones. If you know this meat, then you realize that the majority of meat isn’t really Kalbi but another cut made to look like Kalbi. If you come here DON’T have the kitchen cook food. $ 32 for Kalbi that wasn’t even one whole sliced rib. Lastly, it took 3 efforts to get a fork and almost as difficult to get rice and kimchee refills.

After a day of travel, and finely getting settled into my hotel, it was time to organize the dinner plan. I really was wanting something Asian, but not the typical Chinese or even Japanese sushi and such. I settled upon Korean. Arriving at the restaurant around 7:45 — 8:00pm, this place was filling up… ALWAYS A GOODSIGN. I was greeted and seated promptly. WOW, quite the menu selections. As with most Korean restaurant’s you really need a party of 2 or more before you can order and cook on your table grill. So was the case tonight. I ordered the Spicy Beef and Cabbage Stew. When given the opportunity to enhance your meal with a raw egg cracked into your clay pot… go for it!!! First to arrive at the table we’re the twelve dishes of banchan… a bottomless array of accompanying dishes of fish paste, sprouts, various pickled veggies, kimchi and others. These are fantastic. Up next was the boiling clay pot of stew. Oh my goodness, the flavors were remarkable. Very tasty broth, plenty of cabbage and pieces of beef… so hot it will scald the taste buds off your tongue… Be careful. My meal was fantastic, service was spot on. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. This restaurant is not a corporate chain but there are a couple restaurants in the bay area and Oakland. I do believe this to be a family owned and operated small business. These are your friends and neighbors… go give them a try, you will walk away with a smile and a full belly!!!

Just when I made myself ready and had my mind set on receiving slow service, they go and prove me wrong. I showed up at around 3PM on a Friday thinking that since it’s in between shifts, the service would definitely be slow… a young waitress seats us and takes our order – I got the same items from last time, the marinated short ribs and spicy pork belly. She brings us our water, banchans and rice immediately. I guess they must have read my last review and recognized me. Just maybe! Food was still good! Service was definitely better than the last time, but the price is still expensive($ 26.95/person for AYCE) when you think in comparison to LA; however, since we don’t have very much competition… we’ll have to just live with it! When you think about Dublin, there’s hardly any competition at all when it comes to Korean BBQ. I’ll take what I can get and just be happy.

Not sure about all the negative reviews here but I love their All You Can Eat Daily Korean Special. $ 26.95 will make your heart sing and belly dance! How this works is, you order two meats at a time and cook it on the grill at the table. This is a great place to take your friends who don’t usually cook but they’ll learn to cook at the table if they want to eat! Hehe. I like to wrap my meat with the rice noodle wrap, dip it in red bean paste, then sesame oil & salt. What a tasty bite! And you can have that bite over and over again! And they are very generous with the banchan side dishes as well. If you run out of kim chee or sauce, you can ask for more and they’ll keep bringing it out. My favorite is the brisket, then spicy pork belly. They don’t have short ribs… But they do have chicken, calamari & rib eye was good too. Next time i want to try the bulgogi and spicy pork. You can also have tofu soup, gyoza, & steam eggs as that’s part of the all you can eat as well! Another great thing about this place is you can bring your own bottle of wine to enjoy with dinner as corkage is $ 10 per bottle. Great wine & all you can eat at your leisure dinner, it’s like eating at home without the hassle of prepping or cleaning up! Will definitely be back! =)

Was in town and I was craving Bulgolgi. I had notice this eatery was in a small strip mall and decided to try it out. They had a lunch special and it included a Bento style combo. I had ordered the Bulgolgi combo and a hot tea. The people are friendly here and very attentive. I was given a Potato Appetizer teaser of fried Potato with light Carmel sauce. The lunch combo came out quickly and the portions were appropriate for the lunch special price. The meal included a soup, little salad, Soba noodles, Kim chee, and a fried gyoza. The beef was tender and plentiful. I would probably ask to make it a little spicier next time, but all together it was a nice meal and friendly service. Definitely will be back to try more of their diverse Korean menu.

Every now and then, I wake up with an intense craving for crispy, crunchy, toasted rice stuck to the bottom of a bowl. I then find myself faced with three choices(in order of preference, not convenience): (1) talk one of my Iranian friends into inviting me over for dinner and serving Persian Rice(with that crusty bottom-of-the-pan golden crust). (2) find a restaurant serving authentic Spanish paella. (3) head to the nearest Korean restaurant and order a dolsot bibimbap. So I found myself at Ohgane in Dublin earlier this month, having ordered a spicy pork dolsot bibimbap and quietly waiting for the barrage of other complimentary treats they tend to shower their customers with. Now there are other Korean restaurants which serve bigger portions of dolsot, but few pile on as much banchan as The Ohgane chain of Korean eateries. Which is important, because there is nothing as torturous as waiting several minutes for your rice to finish crisping at the bottom of your hot stone dolsot bowl, and having nothing to eat while your senses are being assaulted by the smells wafting from it. On this particular occasion, there was enough banchan and other treats to while away a good 10 minutes, by which time my rice was nicely toasted. A little Gochujang to spike up the already spicy pork, and I was off and running, eventually coming up for breath over 20 minutes later, having savored every bite and having polished off the last grain of perfectly crispy, crunchy, toasted rice stuck to the bottom of my bowl.
