Rafael is amazing! He knows what looks good and goes for it. Nice and friendly and a true professional when it comes to hair and definitely extensions! I absolutely love my extensions and the compliments that come with them! He’s flexible and always makes time for his clients.

Unfortunately there isn’t any more stars to give. Rafael’s Salon & Spa is the best in the area of Downey. Nice and clean area/​salon feels like Beverly Hills. Their expertise in this business is speechless. The overall rating is beyond high rank. I truly recommend this salon. Great service and low prices.

This place is a f’ing joke! I can’t believe this guy is still in business. I travel a lot for work and I’m super busy with life but I wish I would have Unilocaled 3 years ago when I went here for my extentions. I apologize to all ladies that went after me. I spent 1250 dollars on my hair and I was treated like I spent 50 dollars on it!!! Rafael is a total rip off and the staff of one he has, doesn’t have any class at all! I made several appointments and each time I came from laguna beach area (45 min drive) he was either never there or late (like 2 hours late). Never left a note or sign or never even called to tell me he was running late! He always said he was getting coffee and he never apologized! I kept coming back because I paid him up front for my extentions, otherwise I would have never come back after the 1^st appt. I really should have contacted the BBB, but I just didn’t have time. This guy is an joke and looks like he’s stuck in 1985! I would write more, but I’m getting angry again just thinking about him. I wish I could give him 0 stars!

I purchased a promotion from
and called the salon to ask if they could redeem my voucher. The person I spoke to said they did but only monday through wednesday so I made am appointment. I live about an hour from this place and on the day of my appt., only 15 mins before my appointment they called to say they no longer were under contract with
and would not redeem my voucher.
I went through so much trouble arranging for a sitter, wasted my time and gas. HORRIBLE!
