I was referred to Arcy from my coworker who has known her for many years. I had a color disaster on my hair for over a year. I set up an appointment with her and she was able to properly match the color I had. I couldn’t be any happier with the results! She is super sweet and her color skills are amazing!

Have you ever had a hair disaster? If you’re like me, you might have had more than one. Several months ago I went to a salon for some blond highlights, nothing difficult. After the shampoo and the towel was removed, I saw orange hair staring back at me in the mirror! Unacceptable of course and two attempts were made to correct it which were unsuccessful. I decided to just let it grow out a bit and go somewhere else. The somewhere else also didn’t work out as the stylist did not listen to what I wanted. Flash forward to today and I am a very happy customer at the Beauty Bar. Maria Salcido is the best in the business! She has done my hair several times now and has the most experience and expertise. It is worth the 30 minute drive to know I will always walk out of there with beautiful hair!

Rushed in last minute to purchase a few Devacurl products. I was actually late but Jenna waited for me to get there and make my purchase since I called about 10 minutes before closing.
From start to finish Jenna was nothing short of helpful, positive and bubbly. I will definitely come to this Beauty Supply to get more Devacurl products as I run out of what I use. Excellent service!

Beauty Bar carries many wonderful products and other goodies. The staff is very friendly. It’s a bit of a drive for me to get to Downey but its totally worth the drive! I won’t trust anyone else with my hair. Arcy is a wonder! Love her! My hair always looks Uh-​Mazing! She’s knowledgeable and makes me look and feel great! I call it making magic happen! You can’t go wrong at Beauty Bar. Let Arcy work her magic for you! You won’t be disappointed!

If you need a great stylist, then Beauty Bar is bound to have someone to fit your liking. I have been coming here for years and I have yet to see someone walk out looking bad. The place is clean, organized, and they take great care of you from the moment you walk in. I have extremely unruly hair and my favorite stylist/​colorist Arcy works her magic and makes my locks look sleek and smooth. If you want someone who truly cares about her clients and is a perfectionist with each and every hairstyle she completes, then Arcy is HIGHLY recommended. My best advice is to make an appointment and see for yourself. the prices are fair and well worth it! There’s also a well stocked beauty supply store adjacent to the salon with lots of desireable styling products on hand. Overall, this place is very charming :)

This is by far the nicest salon I’ve ever frequented. Beautifully decorated, immaculate, very welcoming atmosphere. Always a wealth of magazines to read and treats to eat and drink. Beautiful, CLEAN restroom. Best of all is my stylist, Arcy Hendricks. She’s had years of experience and is trained in just about everything anyone could want. Some friends ask why I’d drive «all the way» from Alhambra to Downey, but it’s actually only about a 15-​minute drive. Arcy styles all kinds of hair and does everything beautifully! I’m so lucky and grateful to be one of her longtime clients. Just the idea of going to Beauty Bar makes me happy, and I always feel so good when I leave.

I must admit that in the past I have been a bit fickle when it comes to Hair Salons… but Beauty Bar in Downey really is such a good fit for me. My super hot button is cleanliness and this place is immaculate. I also appreciate the fact that they have such a full spectrum of services… I have had my hair colored both low and high lites… extensions…updo’s…haircuts…(i love the way they do long layers)…massage (fantastic!)…pedicure and facials, too.
The overall feel of the Salon and the Stylists is that it’s a hip place. it feels like the stylists are up on the latest styles and tecniques. i often here them mentioning «classes» and seminars they are attending, so it makes you feel you are current. The Beauty Supply is a fun place to shop and they have my favorite shampoos there which makes it convenient. I will definately be back soon for another beauty makeover.
