ANR folks are great. Andy and Team have always been extremely professional and responsive during matters regarding our Kimball. Thanks so much for the great service.

I was looking for a supplementary baby grand piano for my house in late 2008 and this business advertises frequently on craigslist. They were asking about $ 500 for a Kimball piano which needed some work(key facing problems, non-matching parts, scratched case) but which had good action. I negotiated a deal for $ 650 including delivery to Naperville and paid for the piano and got a receipt. When they got to the house, we were finishing a remodel job in a room with a back door entry for the piano. The movers and owner berated me for not having a front entry as they had to roll the piano along grass by the side of my house, but any competent piano delivery service will have the appropriate dolly for this and many pianos have been moved in and out of my house before and since without any issue. They used the wrong kind of dolly, which tore up grass adjacent to my sidewalk, which took over a year to appropriately repair. Piano movers use a skid board to get a piano into a space and the mover guys, mad about having to roll it through the yard, did not stop when I asked them to get blankets for the skid board to protect the brand new hardwood floor I had JUST put in(still had the resin paper on the floor and everything). In not using the blankets, against my wishes while I was yelling to stop, they pushed the skid board to get the piano through the door into the room, creating a large groove across several boards of the new floor(pictures available upon request). Further when they were putting together the piano, a boy who was assisting them dropped the mallet used to put the legs and pedals on a grand and in the process dented another board. Because the floor was tongue and groove, I would have to cut out the damaged boards and nail in new ones at a cost of several hundred dollars to fix the damage they created. They did not glue down the key facings as we’d agreed so my first project on the piano was to have to superglue a bunch of keys. Not thrilled about that either. I complained about this immediately and that they cover the costs for a contractor to fix the floor boards. I was left with a threatening voicemail message, in which I was again screamed at, which I’ve saved incidentally in case I ever decide to take legal action against this business and its owner. Any business owner wouldn’t be thrilled about a botched delivery but what made this especially bad was that the owner a) was involved and b) threatened me afterward and made it sound like I was the crazy one, after he messed up my house(in the presence and witnessed by my contractor as well btw). As I know most of the Chicagoland piano community, I suggest you speak to me before doing any business with this guy. I still have scratched and dented floor boards and never want to deal with that creep again.
