One night was unhappy with the food I had received I let the waitress know and they brought my complaint to the chef. I had complained that the ravioli tasted burnt. Obviously there were no burn marks on the ravioli. Just to give you an Idea of how dedicated they are to the quality of food they put out, the chef realized that something had gone wrong in the preparation of the filling for the ravioli. They 86’ed the dish from the menu because it wasn’t right. Just talk to your waiter/waitress if you have a concerns they will make it right!

This is one of my favorite places to eat! The food is always fresh, new and innovative with some fantastic twists on the classics. The buttery salty potatoes are LIFECHANGING! Being from an Italian family I’ve very rarely ventured to try meatballs from anyplace other than one of my family members kitchens. Chef Dibari’s polpette are amazing! The radiatore in lamb bolognese is to die for. The only thing I can say is that since Chef Dibari opened the Parlor, his pizza restaurant(which is also amazing), he seems to spend most of his time there. It kind of felt like the food at the cookery isn’t AS fantastic as it was when he was more present there. Don’t get me wrong! Still amazing and worth a visit!

Creative, inventive dishes in a pub-like atmosphere. A wide variety of fresh items to support their«farm to table» appeal, but nothing truly outstanding. The chocolate polenta dessert was quite good, but I believe I’m a bit played out of disguising inexpensive ingredients that have always been«poor man’s food» to delicacies when it comes to polenta, kale, sprouts, chickpeas and other trendy items. Was quite impressed, however, with their chef’s appearance on the television show«Chopped».

The Cookery was a 5 star experience. I came here with my mother and we thoroughly enjoyed everything and made plans to come back with the family. We started with the meatball and mozzarella appetizers. The meatball was full flavor. While I’m a big tomato sauce fan, this wasn’t drowned in sauce, and rightfully so. It was packed with flavor and as moist as could be without simply falling apart. A light coating of Parmesan topped it off perfectly. The mozzarella was fresh and complimented our meatball appetizer well. For dinner we had the burger and the osso bucco. The osso bucco was truly note worthy. It was different than what you’ll find in most places with a crisp skin, possibly twice cooked(simmered and fried or baked) and a sweet mustard sauce floating on top of delicious white polenta. They hit a sweet spot with the gourmet burger as well, glad that was on the menu. The goose fat potatoes were a nice complement to that as well. The stickabutta pie was decadent. It tastes similar to a cheesecake or a limoncello pie and is a truly guilty pleasure giving the flavors of butter and sugar with a nice crisp crust, how could you go wrong?

We had been saving our experience at The Cookery for a celebration, and we were not disappointed! The ambience was casual and a little loud(but fun!), our servers were excellent, and the food was awesome! We had the heirloom meatballs to start — super flavorful and fresh. I had the rigatoni with bone marrow because I felt like it was a go big or go home kind of meal, and it was delicious. This was my first time trying bone marrow, and it was done so delicately. My boyfriend had the pork osso bucco and really enjoyed it. We split the stickabutta pie for dessert, and even though my date only ever likes chocolate desserts, we were fighting over the last forkful :) All this paired with some great cocktails made for the perfect Friday night out!

Went back to The Cookery with some friends recently. Food was great, service was once again deplorable! Waiter took one drink order, had to ask for a second which was forgotten about. Never came back to check on the food, had to seek him out to get the check. The lack of service in this restaurant is unbelievable. Takes so much away from it. Restaurant is very loud too, not really good for a group over 4.

I believe in starting with desert first and you will not be disappointed with the«stickabutta» pie, it’s extremely good. We also ordered the oxtail, and it was not the traditional one cut into pieces, it was the whole tail, it was succulent and delectable on a bed of rice, perfecto! Also the try the pork doughnut appetizer and the buttery cheesy potatoes. This place will absolutely see my face again.

This place makes me so happy. The vibe, the music, the drinks, the staff, THEFOOD! I wish they took reservations for less than 6 people Bc we love to go but it’s so busy we are never sure if there will be a table. Everything I’ve ever had has been cooked perfectly. I’ve always been satisfied. Oh, and stickabutta pie of course… don’t leave without dessert. We want for brunch for the first time. Small plates, so filling and delicious. pork belly and biscuits and the egg in a jar were on point. And everything else we ate. Go to The Cookery. You will not be disappointed.

My lovely wife suprised me with a pig roast dinner for my 40th at one of my favorite restaurants. After years of gazing longingly over at that coveted table where diners were gnawing on pig flesh and crunching on pig skin, I finally got my time to swine! Having some good friends there as part of the suprise made it that much more memorable, but of course the star of the show was the perfectly roasted pig that was way too much for 6 mere mortals to shred down to a bony carcass, but we each had quite a bit of leftovers. That donut ice cream sandwich for dessert was so good there was no choice but to find room somewhere in our already extended bellies for it. That bit of salt really brought out the flavors. Highly recommended if you are a lover of all things pork. It is an experience.

I have eaten here before and have to say it is one of my top five restaurants in NY. That is saying a lot. I have the utmost respect for Chef DiBari’s passion and talent. So here is the review: hostess could not have been nicer. Our server was a young girl with short dark hair who clearly wanted to go home. While not rude, she rushed us through ordering, and then refused to wait table side while we made selections– skittering off while mumbling«I don’t wanna rush you« The apps were mind blowing. Bacon, simple toast with ricotta slathered with thyme and honey, a pasta special that could make nonna weep. Order the bread. I’d like to meet the cow who provided the milk for this butter. Pastas good– not great. Surprising. Dessert was awesome and the cocktails were incredible. All in all a great experience.

Looks can be deceiving ! From the outside you think you are at a pub and will have wings and burgers. On the inside a lively atmosphere where the food is creative and incredible ! The service, friendly and efficient. We went on restaurant week, the place was packed. We sat exactly on our reservation time and received attentive service from hello. The apps were phenomenal, pork belly yummy, mozzarella fresh and moist, best ever. Mains of gnocchi, osso bucco, and pastina sound standard but was anything but ! Creative twists on traditional dishes make them unforgettable ! Desserts of chocolate polenta and Pana cotta with fruit loops was the perfect ending to a perfect. Meal. You don’t have to go to NYC for gourmet, it is here in Westchester without the pretense. Think Per Se casual without the super high prices. The best restaurant in Westchester, we WILL be back !!! The food is fabulous, the prices are good, drinks are spot-on — if only my ear drums didn’t vibrate like at a heavy metal concert. Won’t go into details on the food — trust me it is good. Just know that everything seems to be cooked in or seasoned with bacon. Boo hoo. But don’t come if you are intending on a close private conversation. It can get loud — very loud. If only the noise could be controlled, this could be about the perfect restaraunt.

This is my favourite place in Westchester County especially during summer and autumn. yes, i have selected two months for good reasons. Summer– Summer time is a great time to try the pizza in the wood stove that the restaurant makes at the farmer’s market. The base of the pizza is olive oil. The crust is heavenly. My favourite appetitzer on the menu is crostino with ricotta, honey & thyme. I never thought ricotta and honey would go together, but the accent of thyme is a creation. I have tried all the pasta dishes– they are very filling and make you feel like you walked into the home of your grandma. wholesome and delicious! the restuarant has a nice rustic, wholesomeness to it. The last time i was in New York, they were not open for lunch, i was very disappointed. This restaurant is a must try!

I came here with the family for my brother’s birthday dinner and had a great experience. I really appreciate places like The Cookery; it’s a small, bustling restaurant that dishes out good food. The restaurant doesn’t serve bread standard but they have a bread and butter app for $ 6. For me it’s worth it — it’s ciabatta served warm and crusty with soft butter(mmmm). For my app I went with one of the specials — a savory bread pudding with mozzarella and marinara sauce topped with a fried egg. It was delicious — full of flavor and the egg really cinched it. For my main I had the roasted chicken — super flavorful with sliced peppers and potatoes in a smokey broth. Since it was a special occasion we had dessert — I went with their stickabutta pie which is kind of like a cheesecake with a graham cracker crust and caramelized sugar topping. It was dense as expected but didn’t leave me plodding out of the restaurant. Service was great, super friendly and attentive. They have a pretty strict reservation policy so I recommend you read it on their website if you plan on making one. Definitely a keeper — I would love to come back here for brunch and will keep it on my radar.

The Cookery is a great find. It was lively on Wednesday eve but not crazy. We were seated at a hightop by the bar which was fine. This is definitely a foodie spot. Great options and a very reasonable wine list with all bottles under $ 40 and all available by the glass. We had: Pork belly special with roasted corn purée and peaches. Not incredibly complex in it’s flavors and still incredibly delicious. This was the highlight of the meal, in my humble opinion. Cauliflower ravioli in a brown butter with a lemon zest. Great. And a half portion of three to share was a perfect 2nd course. Ribeye special. We shared this as it was a huge steak. It was good but not incredible. And it was over $ 70 so I wouldn’t re-order it. It was cooked very well and came with potatoes Stick-a-buttah pie. We took this to go after our waiter raved about it. It was a delicious nightcap once we got home. Very sweet and definitely addictive. A glass of lambrusco, a glass of red, a cocktail, and our meal came to just over $ 140. Not cheap but you get what you pay for… really high quality meal. I’ll be back.

TL;DR: Cauliflower is an awful, ridiculous, unneeded vegetable that tastes like crap … and The Cookery’s cauliflower ravioli might be the best thing on the menu. That’s how good this place is. In two visits, I’ve had eight appetizers and three entrees(that’s not a typo, by the way) and each one somehow was better than the last; topped by the cauliflower ravioli, I have no idea how they made that terrible vegetable taste so good. What I like most about the place, though, is how they manage to have one of the best restaurants in the area and it kinda-sorta looks like they aren’t even trying. Many spots in the area have a shtick or a motif and that’s fine. However, it is hilarious to see a restaurant put out such a great product as the Cookery does while totally not taking itself too seriously. Also, quick tip, if you go here and want to tell people you went here, do yourself a favor and go to The Parlor, too. I’ve yet to go there and I regret it because of every conversation I have ever had about The Cookery goes like this: «I went to The Cookery last night. It was great.» «Oh, have you gone to their other restaurant?» «No.» “Well, you should …)(cue five-minute story about what I’m missing out on) So, learn from me: eat at The Cookery and then go to the Parlor, or vice-versa, I don’t care.

Show stopping in every way. Seamless & congenial staff who are at once proud of this spot and very comfortable with both the wine list and all of the dishes & their ingredients as well as preparation. Not once did we feel rushed, despite that both the dining room & bar were busy all night. Our server asked questions and then offered suggestions so that we wouldn’t miss enjoying some of the menu highlights. Excellent service from reservation, hostess, servers, & the warm good night from the bartender. The staff like their work and it shows! The interior style is warm, minimal & culinary forward– just in case you didn’t know what they are passionate about: the dishes they are creating & feeding you to be exact. Too, the music of the night was 90’s grunge rock. Unexpected and practically inappropriate but honestly, it set the mood: «we don’t take ourselves too seriously(EXCEPT for the culinary mastering in the kitchen!) so have fun & enjoy your time here.» Excellent wine list with perhaps a dozen very good wines BYTHEGLASS too which is unfortunately rare. I enjoyed an excellent Sancerre. We devoured with much pleasure: House made ciabatta w cultured grass fed butter. Salty, crunch, fresh dense bread & sweet cream butter– just amazing. Octopus w smoked tomato sauce was the perfect balance of smoke so as not to over power but compliment, the octopus cooked perfectly that I only required a fork, w pistachio & chili. I would go back & order two of these and a bottle of wine and be quite pleased indeed. Dumplings were a slight disappointment as we weren’t anticipating a deconstructed play on a dumpling. ½ order of the spaghetti w sesame seeds, Meyer lemon, Parmigano, & fresh cracked black pepper. Simple? Yes. But most delicious! Pastina w sweet butter, Parmigano, & an ever so light touch of red sauce. Very pleasing. Whole Branzino(order it so your server can ask«the brazen question») grilled w Brussels sprouts, brown butter & lemon. Perfectly cooked & very, very good. Market steak w goose fat potatoes(do they really require words?!), romesco. Super happy husband! Lastly the«STICKABUTTA pie» is well, exactly that– sugary, crunchy, rich,(more) buttery, thick slab o goodness! It’s like the«other» crack pie @ you know where but with out the pomp. I rarely hand out a 5 star review but the whole experience was excellent. I can’t wait to go again! Bravo to all at The Cookery!
