Good BBQ, the sides could use a little work. I’ll start by saying that my husband and I are from Texas, and this is his favorite BBQ in the area. He especially likes the pork ribs. I am normally a chicken eater myself, but every time I have been they have sold out of the chicken by the time I’ve gotten there. The staff is friendly and mentioned last time that a timely call with a heads up about what you’d like to eat, might ensure they throw enough on the smoker for you.(Just something to keep in mind). Last time we went they had a special that I tried, it was a brisket burger, and it was delicious! For the sides, the fried mushrooms are good and the fries are waffle fries(hubs said fries are ok-nothing special). The real downfall is the Mac n cheese. A fairly easy dish to make tasty their Mac n cheese lacks flavor and tends to be kind of dried out(insert unhappy face). The owners are new and perhaps still working out some bugs. To summarize, BBQ stands up, sides need a little improvement. We will continue to make the drive from Eugene.

Wow, what a nice surprise to find that the old Dexter Lake Club, which had closed a while ago, has been bought by a local longtime Dexter family! Upon stepping out of your vehicle, you can smell the wonderful scent of BBQ… Their Smoker is on 24⁄7 except for one day a month when it is shut down for cleaning… If you are not hungry for BBQ, they offer hamburgers, fries, tater tots or several kinds of sandwiches. Also, on Tuesday’s, they offer Taco’s at a great price. My family really enjoyed the hamburger which was perfectly cooked and the smoked turkey and the club sandwiches. I am definitely going to be a regular customer. I’m hooked on their food as well as the customer service… If you enjoy country music, I believe it is on the weekends that they have different bands playing… One more suggestion… Every Friday is Prime Rib night. it’s pulled from the smoker around 5:30 — 5:45 pm and served until it’s gone, so the earlier you get there, the better!

I’m not sure I can add anything to what already has been said about this great BBQ joint. We went there recently to celebrate having my braces removed. As it turned out, I wouldn’t have had to wait for that, since the baby back ribs were so tender that chewing was barely required. And the sauce choices were some fun, especially for a Meg Ryan type like myself; I’m big on «on the side» options. Wish I’d had room for dessert. My only complaint was that a football game was on the TV and I found it a little loud, especially the commercials. That’s just me, though.

Stopped on the way home to try the burgers we’ve heard so much about. THATIS A TASTYBURGER! Ciabata roll, fresh ground beef, all the veggies. Looking forward to trying their BBQ next time.

Awesome BBQ! We had the pulled pork and brisket sandwich and they were both amazing with the best whole wheat bun I have ever had. Worth the drive.

What a great spot! Absolutely delicious dry rub BBQ with a bevy of great sauce options. It was too cold to sit outside, although the deck boasts a lovely view, so we sauntered on back to the bar which is a great little«Animal House» fan spot. Friendly service — you order up front when you first come in and then wander till you find a spot you like. Theres pool in the back, good beer, great prices, friendly service. What is this spot? –Delicious BBQ –Casual, country style ambience –Local, family run — Outdoor picnic table style seating on the highway over looking Dexter Lake — Indoor seating in restaurant has limited ambience, the bar is great [its a country bar] with high tops and regular table seating. Surprised by… –how good the root vegetable sides were –the«Coach’s» sauce — seriously that stuff was addicting, I put it on the coleslaw — portion sizes! What I’ll go back for. — I really want to try some Pecan Pie, its my favorite but sadly they were out –Those baby back ribs… oh lord Definitely check it out, get great BBQ and support a local restaurant

Sitting across Hwy. 58 from Dexter Reservoir, the unimpressive façade is the first thing you notice. Then you see they have outside seating available, a good sign for a smoke shack. Then the wonderful smoky smell wafts over you. You know you’ve found a real BBQ pit. The brisket is great, the Snake Bite sauce is smoky and mildly spicy. Side of classic potato salad and a slice of white bread. All served on a tray. And only $ 8. Don’t let the looks fool you. This is good, inexpensive, traditional smokey Texas BBQ. Highly recommend.

Seriously, the best BBQ I’ve ever had. These guys are killing it. Cool outside patio too. Ribs were awesome, as were beans. Kids loved the mac and cheese. Great value. Delicious sauces. Typically BBQ is so salty. Not this. Great flavor. We’ll be back.

The food here is excellent and better than most of the well known BBQ joints in town. I had the pulled pork, beans, and slaw and it was the best pulled pork I’ve had around. Others in my party had the baby backs and brisket, and they raved about their food. Make the extra drive as it is worth it!!! Great food, great service, and a pretty view of the lake!

Wow! We live right down the road & in the past this location was home to some pretty mediocre restaurants. By chance we decided to try the new Rattlesnake BBQ and we were so impressed! My ribs were amazing and my hubby’s hamburger was tasty. The cherry pie was yummy for dessert. Don’t hesitate to dine here – you will love it!

Met friends here a couple days ago. We came on a day when Hamm’s an PBR were only a buck– nice surprise! I had a full rack of beef ribs($ 6) which were very tough. Mac and cheese was good, potato salad was pretty standard but good. Husband had pulled pork and brisket, both excellent. They were out of chicken when we got there(6:45ish). The food is good, prices are good; we’ll be back next week!
