By far the worst staters I’ve ever been to. Too many times they have sold me expired stuff. They are always out of multiple items on my list. The store Mgr. Is completely incompetent. He’s rude, arrogant and stuck up. Good luck getting a rain check from him, u need a rain check to get a rain check. I now pay more at vons just down the street but I get what I need and they are friendly. It wouldn’t be so bad if the Mgr actually acted like he cared but he clearly doesn’t. Also if u have time to wait in line this is the place for you.

I have been a Stater Brothers Shopper since they opened in Desert Hot Springs. I really thought they were an excellent super market. I shop there all the time. There was one thing however which I find remarkable, the dangerous manner in which they handle their shopping carts. I am a senior citizen and even though I am a buff little old lady, I still take great care to NOT ever get hurt. A few weeks ago, sure enough, a bevy of shopping carts(25 of them) were pushed in my direction by an employee and rammed into me crushing my ribs, sternum and jammed my shoulder and knee. The young man who was pushing them had not seen me pulling out my cart at the other end. As I was bowed over in pain. I never knew what hit me until I looked up and saw the whole line of carts had hit me really hard and the horrified look on the young mans face at what he had just done. I shopped in pain and tears and while trying to drive home, I realized that I was not just hurt I was seriously injured. I turned around and went back and filed a report with the store manager. I was forced to work the next day in pain and then was in so much pain, that I was unable to work the next week after that as a result of the injury. A woman called from corp office to check on me and promised to send me a gift card for $ 100. I was impressed that they were caring and surprised by their offer. I explained to her that I was in a fiscal crunch at the moment and really could use the gift card, she offered to send me a check instead. She said it would take a week or so because she was going on vacation. Five weeks later, after I received NOTHING, she called me to apologize. Two weeks after that nothing has arrived. When I reported the accident, I asked that they mitigate the situation by following the advice I gave which was to make the carts so that they could only go in one direction, because this situation could easily happen again; they assured me that they would. I still have not heard from them. Nothing has been done to protect other shoppers. I still can’t believe that I went shopping for a dinner party and came away with a pain in my shoulder and knee that makes it even harder to find work for me at the age of 60. So much for the Golden Years! My attorney has advised me NOT to accept their«gift» if it comes, and now I have to go through all the trouble of a lawsuit which is the last thing I would ever want to do. If only they had behaved honestly and with the safety of their shoppers in mind.

The main reasons this review isn’t lower is because anytime I go here, I can ALWAYS count on the locals bringing humor to my visit. ALWAYS! I like the fact that they have low prices without needing a rewards card. I dont like the fact that they no longer give grocery bags for free.(New city law) #booooooooo

Well i have lived in desert hot springs now for 14 years and this store seems like its going more downhill. The aisles are the worst. You can barley get your own cart down the aisle when another person is on the other side. The store is not big enough for a city with twenty seven thousand people. Its needs new flooring bigger aisles and people that seem to like the jobs they have and dress right for it. Alot of people agree that this stater brothers is horrible. The parking lot is another issue as well. I go to another stater brothers when i can.

This is the worst stater bros. I have ever been too. All to often I have bought groceries here and then once I got them home noticed they were already expired. Ive gotten moldy bread, expired tomato sauce, expired milk etc. I got some orange juice yesterday, 3÷9÷12 I looked at it today and noticed it expires today. 3÷10÷12 :(in the trash goes another crappy Dhs stater bros. Product. This store is only a few blocks away from my home so I have given it MANY chances. I think this was the last one. Another bad point about this staters is the bums that hang out, outside of the store. They are very aggressive when asking for money. They are always people hitting you up for money at the door… bums, church people, shady men selling candy, a woman selling tamales out of the back of her van and much more. If you can I recommend going somewhere else.

I avoid this place at all costs! Unless I have hours to wait in line, even then the shelves are never stocked. Maybe this town needs another grocery store…

I lived in DHS for 4 years and this was the grocery store I used about 3 times a week. The staff are mostly friendly(at times there are rude little ghetto girls bagging groceries or ringing up items at the cash register, but I noticed they don‘t last very long), the food prices are cheap and it‘s clean. And their weekly ads always have something worth stopping in for. I recommend this store. I‘ve grown up shopping at Stater Bros. stores and I‘ve never been disappointed.

Stopped here Friday night to get some things for our hotel room. Clean. I do have to knock one star off for the service though. My husband asked for $ 10 cash back and asked if he could please get 5 and five 1’s(so we would have money for our maid service back at the hotel) The cashier said oh, looked at the screen as she was about to close the register, and then handed him a 10.

Love Stater Bros Markets. Anything About The Food It Is About The People That Go There Not Good

Our first experience with Stater Brothers DHS. The store is well stocked and clean. It was extremely busy at 1PM. Yet, it was the first day of the month and was expected. The selection was good. The butcher counter was well staffed and no wait. The prices, I found, were less expensive than at the Von’s down the road. There were lots of specials and I didn’t need the rewards card nonsense.

Prices are good. Store and parking lot could be a bit cleaner. Place is usually packed.

I love Stater Bros. but this one is horrible. The one in Palm Springs is way better. I always feel dirty and depressed after getting groceries here. I need a handful of anti-depressants just to get myself to walk in the front door.

I just recently became a fan of Stater Bros, based on their excellent meats. This store was brightly lit, well-stocked, and despite being extremely busy, the time spent waiting to check-out was very reasonable.
