The last star, where did the last star come from… a little treat from the gods of coffee called an Affagato. I walked in one day and approached the owner and paused to contemplate, opened my mouth and said i wanted almond… and he abruptly finishes my sentence with the correct answer i could never have known. Almond gelato with 2 shots of espresso drizzled over it. Ambrosia may be the drink of the gods, but thats only cause they are fools. Affagato is perfection. It is like an espresso milk shake. Smoky espresso to sip on with gelato you can scoop up that has its sweetness tempered to a perfection. This is what almond flavored coffee dreams of being but will always be just a pathetic imitation of.

I am sitting in the Gelato spot RIGHT now eating the ‘Super Super Dark Chocolate’ and cruising the free wifi on a big comfy couch. It is wicked hot out today and I couldn’t be happier. This place rules. WIN

Funfetti gelato. I really don’t know what else to say. I mean the location is amazing. Its not expensive. There’s couches by the window. But, more importantly, there’s funfetti gelato.

This place makes and serves amazingly delicious gelato. My favorites so far have been the coconut, banana, almond, and coffee. Additionally, the staff is so incredibly nice, helpful, and fun. The first time I went there, the owner gave me a free espresso with a scoop of vanilla gelato in it! Yes! I can’t tell you how happy I was to see this place go into the vacant shop rather than yet another terrible(and short-lived) thrift store. I get the feeling, though, that things are a little slow in there, so make sure you stop by to keep these guys and their delicious gelato in the neighborhood.

What I like about this place is that they actively seek the opinions and advice of their clientele. They’re still so new that they continually ask what ideas I, and others, have. Later hours? you got it, couches by the windows? done. The employees really seemed dedicated to making this place a place people want to come back to. The have great gelato and ice cream and surprisingly good coffee drinks. Seriously, I don’t know where else I’ve had a cappuccino that good.

Four stars was crap. This place is so great. They’d just made a new batch of pear, so I went with it again. Oh, and there isn’t any sorbet — it’s all gelato; I was wrong last time. My husband a scoop of peanut butter and a scoop of banana(he referred to it as the Elvis special) and was in awe of that fact that the peanut butter gelato tasted exactly like fudge. My daughter went nuts over the mango, and my friend Steve couldn’t say enough good things about the gingersnap. The people are so nice there, too! Furthermore? Free wi-fi, they have art shows(new artist goes up a week from Friday — open house that night!), and they evidently serve coffee, too. I mean, really. What’s not to love?
