WOW, A place where they place amazing music over head while you get a quick bit to eat before you head back to work. Also the customer services is right on point. Price point for a sandwich for lunch is right on, plus the side side with the Chef’s dressing hits your taste buds. I will be back!

Honestly, the ice cream is just a little bonus compared to the super delicious sandwiches and homemade cakes! They make cakes from scratch that are heavenly. The paninis are also awesome. Entire staff is so friendly.

Unilocal introduced me to Skoops, but its description of «Ice Cream & More» brought me there last Saturday afternoon! And I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! Skoops shares a spot on 9th Avenue, a tree-lined street in Capital Hill/Cheeseman Park area, with a coffee shop and hair salon. The parking is limited in front of the building itself, but it’s not impossible to find. Upon entering Skoops, you’re greeted with a cute seating area to the right and massive utensils on the wall alongside a fun floral chalkboard advertising the daily specials. Super cute! The line seemed to move quickly — thanks to Square. Although I can’t say I don’t mind the section during checkout that asks to input a tip… because I do! How awkward! Not that the ladies don’t deserve a tip, but I stand in line, give you my order, I get my water & utensils, you bring out the food, but I bring it back in. I ordered the Pesto & Mint Tuna Salad! I requested it as a Panini with melted Pepper Jack Cheese… WOW! It was so delicious and simple! Just tuna, mayo, apricots, mint, and pesto on bread with pepperjack cheese. I also tried the Curry Chicken Salad, which I will likely have next! It is made with yogurt, curry spices, and your typical chicken salad mix. So interesting! Overall, I had a great lunch date at Skoops! When you go, you must sit on the cute bench table on the patio! I will upload a picture so you can see how darling it is! :)

I’ve been here twice now and this is some of the best ice cream I’ve had in Denver. The staff is always incredibly nice and helpful, no matter how many flavors you need to sample in order to make your decision. You can tell that high quality ingredients are used in the ice cream. The banana chocolate chunk is amazing — I’m picky about banana flavored things. The Nutella ice cream is also pretty yummy! They also have a full food menu that I have not yet sampled. Lots of salads, sandwiches, etc. that all look really delicious.

I really loved this ice cream shop! My butter pecan scoop on a sugar cone was perfect for the weather today. The gal working was exceptionally friendly. I’m excited for my next treat! If I could have my way, though, they would be open later.

Very tasty ice cream. The coconut crunch flavor. Wow, even better than you expect. It’s not just coconut, it’s got toffee and chocolate and stuff in it. So good! Plus, the staff was super friendly. Totally willing to do anything for you and give you anything you need.

After going to Little Man Ice Cream and having my inner fat child murdered by their crappy ice cream I was in search of something better. I found it. Skoops made that stupid Little Man his biatch and put his vintage milk can gimmick to shame! I am known to *HATE* ice cream with chocolate chunks, chips, nibbles, etc. mixed into it. I spit out the pieces. This is because to me they always taste like bits of hard plastic, nasty candy, and not real chocolate. NOTATSKOOPS!!! The chocolate chips/chunks they use here are d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s. Sample all the flavors to find something you love. Get a tub of it and go home to watch the Biggest Loser as you indulge. That will make the spoonfuls taste even better. Trust me. My faves(they have 150+ flavors that they rotate so these were my faves from today’s selection) Coconut Crunch: I am biased because I love Coconut ice cream. I am a coconut ice cream snob and I’ll just say it like it is. This was hands down the *best* coconut ice cream I’ve ever had. Banana Chocolate Chip: This, my friends, is done right. The banana flavor doesn’t overpower the creaminess and the chocolate chips. So good. Espresso Chocolate Chip: I don’t normally like coffee flavored desserts(at all) but geez, this was awesome! Delicious organic chocolate chips complimented the flavor so well. I shocked myself when I decided I loved it. FOOD: This is the place to swing by on your way home from work, you know, when you’re too tired to cook but want something fresh and flavorful? Bring it home, kick off your shoes, grab some wine out of your fridge, and relax. If only I lived in Denver! We split two paninis. The Southwest Chicken panini was divine. That mixture of chipotle aioli and cilantro pesto was like crack. Chicken was moist and biting into that toasty bread was glorious. I regret not adding bacon to it for $ 1. I also regret giving my husband half of mine in exchange for half of his Brie Turkey Strawberry. That was still yummy, and 10 x better than anything you’ll find at Crapera – err I mean Panera. However, we both enjoyed the Southwest more. The service was awesome. Overall, I want to fit these people into my luggage, take them home, and make them my ice-cream/panini slaves. Their staff is so friendly. We had actual conversations(not just polite small talk). I don’t even know them that well and I freaking miss them! Seriously. Ask the guy in the glasses for restaurant advice(I forget his name). He’s originally from Chicago and gave me some great pointers. Next time we’re in Denver we are coming back. Note: *THEIRBLENDEDDRINKS* = 1STAR I wouldn’t recommend Skoops for its icy blended drinks. We tried their berry Lassi as well as their raspberry Sorbet Freeze. They use a purée vs. fresh fruit and they were OVERLY sweet. I liked the texture of the berry seeds but I was expecting something fresh and light. Instead it felt heavy and artificial. Tasted like the same kind of things you can find at Dairy Queen and other fast food places but for $ 5.95 each. Ick.

Stopped here after a hot day at the Botanical Gardens. The staff was really friendly and helpful. My family and I ordered an array of Panini’s and ice creams and were all very pleased with the meal. I had the chicken and pesto panini while my husband had the ham and cheese. Both were delicious and served with a nice green salad with apples. I also had the coconut crunch ice cream which is a customer favorite. It was absolutly delightful but once I had a lick(or two) of my husbands chocolate fudge, I was regretting my order. If I lived in Denver this would be a lunch go to for me!

Another fine place to get some ice cream. …I have only 1 gripe with all frozen treat business to date… They ask what I want, then go make it and then hand it to me, and then ask me for payment. But now my hands are full of something melting in real time. Please oh please, ice-cream-a-ristas, let me pay before you scoop! One thing at a time ;-)

This place has yummy yummy sandwiches and ice cream and the kindest service I’ve had in a long time! My experience there made my day… I had a wonderful walk with my dog over to Pet’s Paradise near by. Walking back home we walked passed Skoops and I had to go in. I tied my dog up to the gate and went inside. As I waited in line to order, the kind man asked if I wanted some ice cream samples. Um, yes please! I had the coconut crunch and fell in love! As I ordered the yummy strawberry sandwich, the other gentleman ran a bowl of water out for my dog. When asked if I wanted it to go or stay, they insisted the food would look prettier on a plate, and that the lovely day needed to be enjoyed. They had me sit outside with my dog, gave me a treat to giver her, and brought my beautiful plate out to me! I couldn’t resist an ice cream cone after because the coconut crunch was probably one of the best I’ve ever had! I recommend this place for a lovely lunch and sweet treat! Bring your pooch!

While I was out running errands on Saturday, Dave charged me with picking him up a treat and had been going on and on(and on and on) about milkshakes. And you know what? Thinking of a place that’s not out of the way that serves milkshakes is harder than it sounds. Skoops was on the drive back up from the grocery store so I stopped in. The guy behind the counter couldn’t have been nicer and he loaded me up with samples while I pondered on a good, chocolate based flavor from which a milkshake should be crafted. I finally settled on German chocolate, Dave’s favorite cake, while the counter guy handed me yet another sample while I waited. And then he tried to get me to go for some of their delicious looking cake… very tempting. The ice cream is Boulder Ice Cream and they also have a well-rounded looking food menu in addition to a variety of cakes including tres leches. I had a sip of Dave’s milkshake(for the sake of science) and it was just dandy. I think he thought so too as it was gone before I even had a chance to put the groceries away.

Nicest people EVER. This is one of those privately-owned places that need to be supported and kept around. A cute little place serving super fresh and organic ice cream, and an assortment of cakes, cookies, panini’s, salads, and soups, too — and each are beautifully presented and served. On this day, ice cream was the mission(although, when is it not?). I ordered the salted-caramel, and the flavor popped with what tasted like a base of sweet cream. While it was super tasty, it wasn’t as creamy as I would like, and melted real slow so it was hard to work it with a plastic spoon, but still — I enjoyed it very much. Inside, some nice woodsy tables and chairs. Outside, a handful of both tables and city benches to warm your bones(on a nice day) while the rest of you chills during the ice cream chow-down. With all things considered, Skoops is a great ice cream shop & more — true to its name. I’ll be back.

Great little neighborhood sandwich and ice cream shop. 20 different panini and a small assortment of salads — even lasagna(at least today). I had the Southwest Chicken panino today and it was excellent served with a little salad for $ 9. A little pricy but large enough that I can make two meals out of it. No room for ice cream this time but they carry Boulder ice cream and my experience with it has been delighful in the past. Other desserts(cakes etc.) are made in house. Owners couldn’t be nicer. Dog friendly, too. A couple of minor quibbles. Seating is really, really limited and, at least today, they were pretty slammed and service was pretty slow. Might be a good idea to phone your order in if you have to get back to work.

A nice little café style ice cream and sandwich shop. They have a handful of tables and it’s located in a nice downtown residential area. We went there for lunch and the staff was incredibly friendly. The price is a bit on the expensive side for sandwiches. I ordered a chicken pesto panini and my friend got some panini with mango on it. The ingredients were fresh and their menu options consist of unique flavor and ingredient combinations. There are many interesting options that may make multiple visits worth it. They also have organic ice cream, and their flavors are also interesting and uncommon combinations. I forgot what we got, but the ice cream was good. The shop has lots of options to choose from so it’s probably a fun place to try new things.

Go right ahead and scoop me up lots of ice cream. It is creamy and so tasty. Even the sugar cone is really good. The food they serve also sounded yummy. The cake these two girls were eating looked almost to good to pass up but I held back on the cake. Maybe next time. I had chocolate toffee and coffee chocolate chip. The guy behind the counter was super nice. He was the one to tell me I could have two flavors on my cone. My son had banana chocolate chip in his scoop but haha mine was bigger

Skoops! I give it 4 stars, as I think it’s a bit pricey, but it is good. I have no other complaints. Bright interior, comfortable, clean, and a good place to stop, relax, and grab a bite to eat. They are open for breafast, lunch, and dinner. Paninis — we had the BLT and the Chicken Dijon. Both were good, warm, and served with a small side salad.. We then had dessert. My husband had the red velvet cake with butter pecan ice cream. He said the cake was very good. I had the ice cream, and the gentleman behind the counter suggested that I try two flavors together, which I did, and that’s what I had. Green Tea ice cream with ginger ice cream — both very light, and an excellent combination on a hot 78 degree day. I watched people come and go, coming in for ice cream, or a sandwich. Many sat outside to enjoy the sunshine. I could tell that many of the people were regulars, which is really nice to see in the neighborhood. Service — excellent, no problem with any of it. A nice neighborhood place, excellent location. We will go back, you can count on it. Thank you Skoops for being in the neighborhood!

Ice cream. Denver loves it. Shops like Skoops makes it obvious why they do. Let’s get the main point out of the way. Their ice cream rocks harder than any other spot I’ve set foot in Denver. Try their famous Coconut Crunch. It is to die for. Seriously. Other pluses include the fact that they also serve delicious sandwiches during the day in case you’re not feeling like spoiling your sweet tooth ’til later in the evening. Paired with top notch service and lovely décor throughout, you can place Skoops up there with the top small eatery shops around town.

True story — I found out about Skoops because of sidewalk art. All around my neighborhood there have been signs about Skoops written in chalk on the ground and as I often walk or bike I see a lot of them. Another true story — the two gentlemen working here when I first stopped by were a) some of the nicest people I’ve come across in a while and 2) having a lot of fun on a Thursday evening. Let’s talk about niceness… Have you ever really wanted one specific flavor of ice cream and gone out to get it only to be saddened by the fact that a shop wasn’t carrying it that particular day? That happened to me and I was going to leave and try my luck elsewhere, but when I said that these two lovely men sprang into action. They went to the back freezer and pulled out a whole, brand new giant tub of just the flavor I was looking for just for me. How awesome is that? Pretty dang awesome. Let’s talk about fun… They were playing mambo music and offered Sir Nicholas and I the opportunity to mambo for free ice cream. When I said we sadly didn’t know how to mambo they claimed they didn’t know how to either and said we could have done any dance and they wouldn’t have known. It was such a fun, festive atmosphere I almost didn’t want to leave. And just so you know the more in the name really does mean a lot more. They have several fresh baked desserts daily, a lovely sandwich menu, salads, and even breakfast on the weekend. Definitely a lovely addition to the neighborhood and I can’t wait to go back and try some of their savories!
