I’m in here very frequently — the space at the gas pumps sucks, but oh well. They make up for it inside. The employees work as fast as they can, and are generally very friendly.

Besides being the 6th7 – 11 store I visited on 7/11, this was also one that I hit up last year on my ‘Slurpee parade’ along Alameda. I remember seeing some of the same faces behind the counter, and the guys manning the joint were just as friendly to me as they were last year. This is a great way to start out a visit! Familiar faces who are prepared for the onslaught of customers seeking free icy beverages… kudos, troops. As for all the stops on my voyage, I graded this store on five factors: Gas Prices, Slurpee Flavors, Business Flow, Service, and Location(with extra emphasis on the two final categories). Gas was $ 2.49 for a gallon of unleaded, which tied several other locations for the highest price. Not surprising, considering it’s at the intersection of Bannock and Alameda. Still, no points awarded this round. Slurpee Flavors for the day included Wild Cherry, Crystal Light’s Apple Mango, Coke, Banana, Pina Colada, and the movie promotional Liquid Artillery flavor(Blue Raspberry). Feeling conventional, and wanting to try out one my favorites, I chose banana. While a little light on consistency, it tasted the way it’s supposed to, so no complaints there. This store was pretty busy at the time of my visit(around 1pm), to the point where I had to use one of the fueling stations to find a place to park. However, the attendants had it all under control, and still managed to be friendly to me when I asked them to direct me to the goods. One attendant pointed out which cups would usher in a free Slurpee(«take one of the pink ones!»). Friendly, capable of multi-tasking AND gives directions: yay for customer service. The location is a hotspot for traffic, and does not offer a light on Alameda for lefthand turns. I hate seeing this at a busy intersection. The store also has limited parking(see above), but I have to take the cost of space in this part of town into consideration. No matter: the friendly clerks and passable Slurpees made for an enjoyable stop before I headed on down the road to the next vendor.
