Very pleased with our first visit to Sarto’s! We started with a nice fried seafood appetizer. But the real star was the homemade pasta — we shared a dish with a creamy mushroom sauce, and some squash ravioli in a fantastic duck broth. I know the side dishes are intended to go with the«by the ounce» meat choices, but we were very pleased with our decision to get primi sized pasta dishes and share an order of risotto as well! Our server was very friendly and perfectly attentive, and the space was very nicely decorated with good ambiance. Truly a five star experience.

Have not been here for a regular sit down dinner but am a HUGE fan of the cicchetti bar. It’s great for someone who wants to sample many flavor without committing to a whole entrée. The price point varies upon your food preferences. We sampled seafood pasta, a quiche like bread thing wrapped in Serrano ham, veal sweetbreads, oyster granita, a simple but vibrant salad, and many more…12 dishes in all. Culinary overload but definitely an amazing experience. Just do it!

Whoa, what a place for brunch! I came here with a girlfriend for Sunday brunch and it was pretty damn wonderful. They take reservations on Open Table so be smart and book a table because it was packed by the time we left. I dig that they have iced and hot coffee drinks like Americano, Latte and Espresso plus French Press. Everything about the experience was fabulous – an attentive server who didn’t hover, friendly hostesses without attitude, nice ambiance and fantastic food. I ordered the Benedetto because I can’t pass up a Benedict when I see it on a menu. Theirs was absolute perfection… grilled focaccia bread, capicola, eggs with a parmesan mornay. It was so big I had to get a to go box for my brunch which is pretty much unheard of(and even better leftover!) It’s a little on the pricier side and mine came out to $ 18 before tip but it’s definitely worth a visit. Come here for brunch now!

Unfortunately there is just so much great competition as far as restaurants go in Denver and this one missed the bus. We ordered the calamari, small bites, a couple pasta dishes, pork and steak. None of them were anything special. Nothing was ‘bad’ but just needed something, or less of something etc. The atmosphere is great; it’s a beautiful place, just lacking in a lot of areas. Definitely potential.

Mixed review but leaning towards the positive. Lobster bisque and bread was absolutely amazing. My beet salad was perfect and my steak entrée was perfect. His bass was gross, no flavor and the wilted greens were floated in flavorless greasy sauce. It was so bland he almost sent it back. The pasta was simply tomato-ey and blasé. Two bad entrees but the rest was amazing. Great wine list. Excellent find but would let go out of our way to return. Excellent service.

Wow. This is amazing. We came with friend who have been before and it was like walking into a family kitchen. We sat at the bar and let your mouth begin to water! Amazing. Amazing rice balls that everyone gets to start with. Our friends ordered for us(well the bar tender). We had a cheese plate with wonderful cured meat. We for three different pastas including bolognaise, the traditional style(which is the best way). Then came the meats and fish. We got the lamb, what can I say(my mouth is still watering) it fell of the bone and melted in your mouth. The chicken, now I typically don’t order chicken at a restaurant but this was cooked perfectly. Moist on the inside crispy on the outside. Then the sea bass with black lentils. Heaven. It was so tasty and broke apart the flavored were right on. This is a must.(p.s I am not a cooked fish fan!). The décor, right up my ally. Clean white lines not frills. It reminded me of a Southern Californian style restaurant. White marble counter tops. Go here and i promise you will not be disappointed.

I love Sarto’s! I love that it is located in the super convenient Jefferson Park area. If you are looking for incredible fresh pasta dishes and great wine choices then this place is as good as you will find in Denver. The menu allows you to mix and match various pasta dishes with different proteins so you can try a bit of everything. All of the pasta dishes are phenomenal, and so fresh. Of the proteins my fave is the Manzo(wagyu ribeye), which I would put up against any steak in Denver. Sarto’s is not cheap by any means, but well worth the price for what you are getting.

We have a new favorite in Denver. We were treated like family when we walked in, and we left incredibly satisfied. Sarto’s service, quality and atmosphere made our weekend memorable. We learned of Sarto’s from new friends who recommended it, and we are now sharing the recommendation; you will not be disappointed. You get the impression the staff are treated well and enjoy working here, because they treat the patrons — and each other — so well. Sarto’s has a classy but light atmosphere. I could wax rhapsodic about the appetizers and entrées(and the focaccia!), but I would not do the experience justice. Just know this is great food in a place with a great vibe.(Dear owner: Luis and Toni deserve a raise).

Great place for brunch in Jefferson park neighborhood. Beautiful restaurant with good food and friendly staff. Formal at night for dinner but brunch is laid back.

First of all Sartos has an absolutely beautiful space! The food and service are both top notch. I had a tasting menu. The butternut squash gnocchi was fantastic as were the cannolis. A great time and I look forward to going back. I love the fact that you can purchase their house made sauces and pasta to go.

Sarto’s is a beautiful space. It has a clean, contemporary look with white and grey marble and subway tile backsplash. Light, airy, and inviting, yet sophisticated. Nevertheless, they’d do well to build an airlock for freezing Denver nights, as tables near the door become distractingly cold with each entrance and exit. Look to restaurant Table 6 to see how this can be accomplished. Unfortunately, it seems the creative well dried up after designing the space. The menu is written as if the author desperately searched a thesaurus for synonyms of «with» and instead turned to words like«escorted,» «accented,» and«nestled.» It reads as trite and oblivious. The food is no better than average. Instead of putting energy toward perfectly executing simple dishes, it tastes like the chef was overly ambitious. My cavatelli was overloaded with a generic tomato sauce and dozens of slices of jalapeños, which turned an acceptable dish almost inedible. The sausage made in Louisville, CO, was, however, quite good. The squash soup was flavorful, and the pumpkin«brittle» was inventive. It’s too bad that it arrived lukewarm. It’s also too bad our server never came by once to ask how the food was(or pour the wine). It’s as if she knew.

Sartos is one of the most beautifully designed restaurant spaces in Denver. It’s the kind of place where you just feel good to be there. My wife and I have eaten at Sartos about a half dozen times. Our most recent dinner was on 11⁄14. It was immediately obvious that the menu had changed. Our wonderful waitress confirmed that they had a new Executive Chef. On our previous visits, I would have described the menu as not very ambitious but very well executed. That might sound like a subtle dis’ but it’s not. I love simple, well-prepared food. And, when combined with the beautiful space, the great staff, and the awesome bartender, it kept us coming back. But we left our most recent meal feeling like the menu had become quite ambitious but not very well executed. The food felt almost precious. And really, nothing other than a simple roast beet salad rose above mediocre. I know restaurants inevitably change and evolve. But sometimes, there’s nothing wrong with simple and Sartos has lost something quite essential with these most recent changes.

Celebrated a friends birthday and another friend who just passed away. This was her favorite restaurant I had been here and enjoyed what I ate This time not so yum. We were all disappointed. The meatballs were pretty tasteless. The homemade pasta was good. I think our favorite was the artichoke cream raviolis. They say they have the perfect Martini. Ok not in my Book. Gin and vodka ok but there was another strange flavor that was Not so pleasant I do like the interior. Service was fine. I am just unhappy Sartos did not live up to best restaurant for me and my griup

I was teetering on the verge of 3 and 4 stars, but bumped it up one just for the beautiful space and service. About the space, it is amazing and beautiful, bright open and clean which I totally dig. My friend and I started off with the arugula salad, yummy and the perfect balance of the peppery arugula, lemon oil and pine nuts. For my entrée I opted for the capellini and added the shrimp. The capellini was meh, dry and too much parsley for my taste and the shrimp were good, but for 3 shrimp I thought it was overpriced. I’m thinking I just ordered the wrong thing so I think I’ll give Sarto’s another chance based on my choice.

I agree with the reviewer who said that the dishes are lacking something, but it’s hard to put a finger on it. I would describe the meal as competent, but for the price point, I’m looking for something slightly above that. I was surprised that there was no bread service. I got the sea bass and the combination of lentils and herb butter was delicious, but the fish itself was overly solid, neither flaky nor moist, and the skin was not crispy. The risotto was tasty in small amounts, but as a larger dish, lacked variety in flavor or textural. I tried olive oil ice cream and found it intriguing and slightly addictive(although I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone), but it was also a large scoop that could have been broken up with a cookie or a few pieces of fruit. This was mostly not the fault of the restaurant, but unfortunately, sound carries very well there and we were seated next to a table where one man was loudly ranting and swearing about how«Denver is a s***hole»). I say mostly not on the restaurant because I am almost certain that some of the waitstaff heard him carrying on, but chose not to say anything. Ultimately, I wasn’t unhappy to spend my time and money here, but it wasn’t a good enough experience in either food or atmosphere to want to return.

Amazing brunch… Beautiful and modern. Sat by the open window with good friends listening to the street festival music. Best Mermosa with Guava and others with Mango. Love the Gnocci hash and the quiche Highly recommend!

Need a tailor? Need a great meal? Need a cool interior for a Colorado restaurant? This place has it! Loved the meal, loved the atmosphere. We had the steak, the scallops and the cheese and antipasti appetizers. Overall, just really liked this place. Favorite part of the meal: gnocchi — Delish! Can’t wait to go back!

Let me preface this by saying that the majority of the food here was AMAZING… Our server however seemed to be extremely slow with every request and we ordered a «grilled» artichoke that they seemed to have forgotten to actually season or grill. We’ll definitely be back and besides the server moving at the speed of paint drying and the artichoke that made me feel like we were at a raw bar, everything was awesome. Also, the gnocchi… Do yourself a favor ANDORDERTHAT!!’

Sarto’s goes above and beyond in the culinary and ambiance experience. The monochromatic, clean, and crisp dining room is a perfect indicator of the cuisine here — no, the food is not monochromatic, but made with clear intentions; not too much fuss, but beautifully presented and well made with a lot of thought. I think the elegant, white dining hall is an effective way for guests to focus on the quality of the food and service. Whether it’s a huge menu or too much stimulation in the décor, they manage to do such an impressive job with impressing guests without inundating them with overwhelming menu or atmosphere, because it is — after all — about the food and company. It’s a classy restaurant with an innovative menu. Menu items like flash fried asparagus wrapped in prosciutto and shaved ham, boiled egg, pesto, and olives let me know I was in the right place, then the deliciously hearty housemade pasta with tomatoes, peas, and capers made me a keeper. I am looking forward to my next return.

Love the ambiance of this place. Sarto’s used to be an Italian tailor in this location. I love how the owners kept the name for the restaurant. The interior is clean and white and in the back private room they have old sewing machines. They even kept with the theme with changing style bathrooms and tailor ticket service comment cards. They also play old Italian music. The food was wonderful as well. We started with the Octopus, had the half order of the Plin pasta and split the quail. We LOVED the octopus. It’s grilled and tender. The quail with the balsamic brussels sprouts and sweet potato stuffed inside the bird was also amazing. They have a couple nice Italian spritzer drinks and we really enjoyed the Tempranillo and the niro d’avola Italian wines by the glass. Service was friendly and quick. Only reason it’s not a five star place is our server wasn’t too knowledgable on the food. Descriptions weren’t outlined well or specials described. I will definitely return once they work out the service tweaks.
