Came for early dinner before comedy Shakespeare and very delicious. Crisp fresh salad with fresh peas and pickled onions then nicely prepared grouper with dumplings. Perfect size portions– maybe a little big when doing 3 courses. Vodka infused drink — perfect and if able would try more but need to leave standing. Staff very attentive even though alone. If you live in Denver or visiting worth a visit even if just for vodka infused drinks.

I’m hesitant to share this review, strictly because I don’t want to have to share what is in my opinion a wonderful culinary hot spot. Alas, these boy deserve the praise and if it means I have to wait for a table… Red Square Euro Bistro has been a long established institution on Writer Square, known for its eclectic vodka bar and traditional northern Euro fare, I’ve come to know this restaurant as a go to spot for some of Denver’s finest work, the service is impeccable, the food is truly among the best in the city.

Went here for drinks with a large group the other day. I’ve been in the summer and love the outdoor patio. Never had the food, but I’ve had their vodka. The dill, pineapple and mint infused is awesome! My sister had a chocolate and honey vodka mixed together on ice that was amazing! I had the Mojito which was pretty good, but I usually like a bit more syrup. Staff worked very quickly on a busy Saturday night and had our large group taken care of at the bar within 5 minutes. Would definitely return for a fun night out.

Went to Red Square to get a special tasting menu per request. The chef was extra accommodating and prepared everything beautifully. The server was the sweet older gentleman who made the experience even better. Outside of the food, you really can’t go wrong with a variety of infused vodkas. Cheers!

Came to town for vacation and ended up coming back to this place every night we were in town. Great vodka selections and cool atmosphere. Our bartender Max was very knowledgeable about drinks and made us feel at home. Will definitely return on our visits back to Denver.

The Pelmeni and Stroganoff are always on point, they are both my go to when I go in to eat. I really enjoy everything on the menu and when they have a promotional menu, I always try to make it in. The food here is always delicious and the staff is AMAZING. This is by far my favorite place to go eat, have a drink and unwind.

We came with a TravelZoo coupon and felt like we were still treated well. We ordered lots of cocktails and had a good time. We got the cheese platter, shnitzel, steak stroganoff, and lemon tart. All were very good and appropriately sized(I was full not not stuffed). I think the booze was our favorite thing about the place. Try the horseradish martini and Stoli vodka. A couple bummers were we asked for a 530 reservation and they would only do 515 and when we arrived it was dead! Also, we definitely saw people that were seated after us get service and food before us.

My husband and I came in here after going to the theater for a Sunday Matinée. We came because the DPAC program advertised a $ 16 prime rib on Sunday. Spoiler alert: they don’t serve prime rib at all. Our waiter said they had tried to get that add out of the program multiple times but it was still in three years later. We had a delicious pierogi app and a drink and were on our way. Cool spot but DPAC attendees beware that the prime rib does not exist!

Visiting Denver during Valentine’s Day weekend turned out to make it a bit difficult to find restaurants to eat at during a decent time(not 10pm), but luckily Red Square Euro Bistro had availability for my sister and I at 8:30. Once we arrived, I noticed the restaurant was dimly lit and set the tone for a romantic evening. We had to wait a bit for our table to be ready but once we were seated we were hungry and ready to order! We started our meal off with pierogies as an appetizer which came in a wooden bowl and the presentation looked great, however I was disappointed that the $ 8 order only came with three pierogies. The taste and flavors were there, just surprised it was such a small portion. I decided to order the sea bass and was told by our server they had changed it to cod. Not going to lie, I was a bit annoyed that the menu wasn’t accurately reflecting what they were serving but understand that things happen on a busy night and shrugged it off. However, when my meal came out he informed me it was sea bass… So which was it? I actually don’t know because I was so hungry I just dug in. The skin was super crispy while the rest of the fish was tender and moist; very delicious! The haricot vert and potatoes paired nicely with the fish(sea bass? Cod? Who knows!) but the dish just left me wanting more as it was a small portion. I really don’t mind shelling out more money for quality but I also expect an entrée to be entrée size. My sister had a similar complaint with her seafood scampi which was also tasty but on the smaller size for entrees. I tried a bit of the scallops and they were delectable! So, not complaining of the taste or quality of the food, it’s all good here; just wish the portion sizes were a bit larger considering after my meal(which included complimentary table bread) I was still hungry. Maybe I eat a lot but sadly I’m left with the impression that Red Square has small portions and should not be your go-to restaurant if you’re hungry. We also ordered cocktails and I’m not as pleased with these either. Now, I’m not trying to be a stickler for strong drinks because I love them, but when your cocktail doesn’t taste good because the portioning of alcohol to mixer is off, that’s an issue. As a signature house cocktail, I would’ve expected it to be better. Despite the slight wait, I really enjoyed the service here. The hostess was friendly and our server, although he looked really busy, was on top of our dining experience. Overall, I’m left with an average experience here. I think for the price of our meal I should have been full and content but it just left me wanting more. I don’t plan on dining here again and would recommend others who love their food(and fuller portions) to dine elsewhere. If you’re looking for a lighter meal, this can be your place as the food is good; just pricy for the portions they serve.

This was my first time to visit a vodka bar. The service was wonderful, our server was willing to explain the different types of vodka they’re served. He was very knowable and friendly! If you enjoy vodka, or want to explore a vodka bar for this first time this is definitely the place to go!

A friend suggested we pop in Red Square Friday night on my visit from Houston. It was packed, with a good crowd of young and old. The service was super quick for having so many people there, and if you enjoy vodka this is definitely the place to go! I started with the beet martini with pickles, which sounds like a weird combo, but I was pleasantly pleased. I liked it a lot, but not enough to continue to drink them all night. The horseradish was interesting, as was the cherry vodka. Decent prices, good crowd, nice little patio with heat lamps and a fireplace you can sit out side, I will definitely be back!

Up until this weekend, I had only heard of Red Square as a vodka bar, but had never been. It took my buddy and I a few minutes to find the location, since we both had no the Writer’s Square plaza went so far back off 15th& Larimer. We only visited Red Square for drinks later in the night, but Red Square is also a restaurant as well. We tried two different carafes of vodka while we were there as our friend said it was the best value and it might be harder to order drinks as the night progressed. The carafes are served in a bucket of ice to keep the vodka chilled and have about 10 – 12 shots. The first carafe we had was the Dark Cherry vodka. I am disappointed in myself as I should have realized there would be a good chance it tasted like cough syrup. Unfortunately, it tasted exactly like cough syrup. The second carafe was Dill Pickle. The Dill Pickle appeared to be the hot item as most of the other patrons around us were ordering them. The Dill Pickle vodka is served with a tray of dill pickles to use as a «chaser» for the vodka. For those familiar with Retro Room’s dill pickle shots, these are much stronger and have a greater vodka taste. It seems whenever I try a new place, I always think when writing my Unilocal review, «Why did I wait so long to try this place?» I need to stop doing this obviously!

This is my favorite place near CU Denver Business School. It’s super close, low key, inexpensive, and has nice low lighting. Happy hour goes until 6 or 7pm and is all day on Tuesday. The bartenders and the patrons who sit at the bar are welcoming but not overbearing. They’ll chat but won’t talk your ear off if you’re not in the mood. If you like vodka, this will be your jam. If you like beer, there are 3 locals on tap and plenty of bottles. $ 4 happy hour beer on tap, $ 5 normally. The vodka drink specials during happy hour are around $ 5. The Moscow Mule is very delicious and is served in the correct copper mug.

This place is amazing. Never disappoints. The food is fantastic and the vodka… well it’s vodka so you can’t really go wrong, but the house infused vodka are just taking God’s drink and elevating it to new highs. The menu is a little limited, but you dont need a large menu when you have the greatest stroganoff on the planet(sorry all the babushkas out there). The pork chop is heavenly and did I mention the vodka? I go to this place anytime I’m in Denver and this weekend took the whole family including my in laws. Everyone enjoyed themselves. For 5 years of going to this place the service still is stellar and the food to die for. You can’t go wrong with this place.

This was stop #2 on our Sunday Funday. My wife, Dev needed a bathroom and so I decided I needed a shot. Or 2. To preface this poor choice, I love pickle vodka. My main jam is over at Retro Room, which is more like a sippable drink than an actual shot. With that being said, you can almost not taste the vodka at all. Red Square is quite different. It is straight vodka. It was happy hour and they had $ 3 shots of their infused vodkas. So, I ordered a dill shot and a garlic shot. It was not much different than taking straight vodka shots, something I have not done since probably college. Needless to say, I still got it– I pounded those shots no problem and it gave me a nice clean buzz, a hallmark of a high quality vodka. If this stuff was bottled, let’s just say it would not be in a plastic bottle.

Came here after purchasing a Groupon for a dinner for two. It was a Monday night so things were a little slow, which probably worked to our advantage because our service was fast and on the spot. For an appetizer we shared the charcuterie plate that had a variety of cold cuts, something that looked like«salo»(fatback), home made«holodec»(head cheese), «ogurchiki»(pickles), «pashtet»(pâté), goat cheese and some crackers. It was a really great choice in our opinion and we quite enjoyed it! For the entrées we went with the Beef Stroganoff and Spanish Octopus. The Stroganoff is more of a «deconstructed» version with a whole steak rather than ground beef or sliced beef that you may have had other places. It is also served with potato mash rather than noodles. That said however, the steak is cooked perfectly and the mushroom sauce is absolutely delicious! The Spanish Octopus is downright the best, most tender octopus I have EVER had! A little salty perhaps after it adds up for a while but it is served with some things that help it balance it out a tad. For desert we had the pistachio cake. Very interesting idea, perhaps it’s supposed to look like an underwater scene with a piece of sashimi? Who knows: D the sorbet part was delicious, the other parts just ok… Definitely a good place for a more dressy dinner! Then afterwards go to Polished for the vodka: P

Not sure if we caught this place on a really good night but everything was on point! It was a Wednesday night so it wasn’t too busy. We got there before our reservation so we sat at the bar and had some of their extensive selection of vodkas. We had a groupon for two appetizers, two entrées and one desert to share. The food was great! We had the cheese plate and rabbit for apps, beef stroganoff and duck for the entrées and the panna cotta for desert. Our waiter Pasha was excellent, my wife was a server for a number of years and was floored at how great he was with giving us the right amount attention and loved being called madam. One of the chefs came out and was talking to another table that he obviously knew and still took the time to come over and ask us how the food was. Even without the groupon this place is worth every penny. We will definitely be back!

Nice little restaurant in Larimer Square, but… for the price I expected excellence and that is not what we were served. And, then a pet peeve or two occurred. UGH. We began with a nice glass of Prosecco(who can go wrong with that?), and then moved on to an appetizer. OK, here’s first pet peeve — I don’t want the waiter telling us what to eat. You can gently make suggestions, but for the most part leave me alone and let me choose what I want to eat. So after hearing all about what we should order, we chose the Scallop Crudo. I found it utterly disgusting! Hubby ate it, but unfortunately, he’ll eat just about anything when starving. LOL. I found this dish tasting very sour, as if the«coconut milk» used had either gone bad or so much citrus was added that it defeated the point. I’m not sure what they did to it, but I could not eat it. Next… dinner. After a long dissertation of why we should order the fresh pork(the pig just killed yesterday — yes, just what I wanted to hear about…), we ordered The Age Duck Breast & Red Square Stroganoff and both were good; however, I had very little sauce which is what actually makes a great stroganoff. I started to ask for more, but then realized it would have to be cooked fresh and would take time, and I hate to wait to eat after my meal has already been served, so I just went with it. Then came desert. We ordered the lemon tart and for the most part it was delicious. The only«odd» thing here is the chef’s decision that brined strawberries could possibly be a good idea on ANYTHING! OMG… they were so awful, we just took them off, pushed them all to the side, and sent the plate back at the end with a pile of them. A brined strawberry is now old looking, a whitish brown color, and the taste is something I can’t even figure out how to describe. A shiver thinking about it. So last pet peeves… it was HOT in there — 94 degrees for the high that day and yet there was either no air conditioning or it was turned up so high that my hubs had a golden sweat going on. Now, if he’s sweating(lover of the sun & heat), it is HOT! And, lastly, I really, really, really DONOT want to have dinner with my waiter!!! There are too many visits from the waiter constantly asking how’s your food, do you need anything, and making suggestions. And, I felt rushed… which I HATE. The only thing I can say that was absolutely cooked to perfection was the starter sourdough bread served with pink Himalayan-salted butter(to die for) and the steak within my pseudo-stroganoff. The duck was fair, but I watch my hubby tug and pull at many tough bits that I would not have put in my mouth. After a tab of $ 120 with tip, this will be our one and only visit to The Red Square Euro Bistro. But, don’t get me wrong — it’s not the price — it’s what was served for the price, plus the added irritation from the wait staff. Reading the other high reviews, it seems to be all about the alcohol… not the food, so if you’re there to drink you may be OK, but for dinner, I’ve had much better.

Red square was awesome. Had the aged duck breast, a Moscow Mule, and shared a cheese plate with the table. All the food was excellent if a bit small. We had a pretty large group and they had us all in a little private room in the back. They also kept track of all our orders and even split the check for a party of 15 or so. Excellent service, great food, and a unique selection of drinks. You can’t go wrong here.

I went to Red Square on a Groupon. I’ve been there several times before, for vodka and other drinks, but had never eaten food. Quick summary: Drinks: Outstanding Food: Very impressed Service: Amazing Décor: Left something to be desired. Details: Drinks: I’ve come to Red Square for drinks before, so I knew their horseradish martini is out of this world. This time I ordered a Dirty Horsey, which is a dirty martini with horseradish vodka. Stunning. If you like spice, go for it! The husband got a shot of beet vodka, and was so in love with it we are now making our own beet vodka. I also got a fig martini based on recommendation of our server, and it was heaven. Came with a lemon zest, a perfect drink for a cheese course. Food: I had never eaten here, and I was so impressed. I was honestly not expecting much, but the cheese plate we got was gorgeous and plentiful. There was a fruit and nut gelee on there that I would love to get on all my cheese plates going forward. We also had the smoked steak tartar, which was beautifully presented and I’m sure tasted great to my husband, who loves smoked food.(me, not so much). We got two entrees – a stroganoff dish that the server enthusiastically told my husband was his favorite, as well as a lamb loin dish. Stroganoff – a fun twist with a steak and pureed potatoes. Steak was well cooked. Lamb Loin — another beautifully presented dish, came with gnocchi that seemed fried and had no sauce, the only bummer. Because that lamb was AMAZING. Desert: Chocolate cake with banana ice cream – decadent, fun plating design. Service: Our server was very pleasant, happy and eager to please. He also seemed to be authentically European. Funny unexpected touch! Décor: I love Euro Bistro’s drinks, food and service, but I think the décor is where they lose me a little. There are super fun paintings, love those, but the booths are accented with flashing rope lights? It seems to cheapen the experience a bit, which is sad because the food really is worth so much more. Overall, I’d recommend going in and giving it a try – delicious.

I am pleasantly surprised at what a great dining experience my husband and I had here. We were just here for the food, but it was wonderful for a date night. We started off with the steak tartar. First time I had completely raw steak, but wow. With the egg yolk and the mustard seeds, what a wonderful combination! I had the barramundi(I don’t see it on the menu anymore, so maybe it was a special). It was pan seared perfectly and came with a bunch of mixed veggies. The husband had beef stroganoff. I’m not a big beef eater, but this dish was delicious. I was kind of jealous. We finished off the meal by sharing the panna cotta, which one of the waiters recommended. Oh my gosh — perfect amounts of sweetness, richness and tartness. And I have to add, all the dishes were GORGEOUS. Even the fancy shmancy restaurants I’ve been to didn’t wow me like the dishes here did. The atmosphere is quiet and romantic. Interesting décor, too. The servers were great — prompt and super friendly. Definitely worth a try.

Love this place! Such a nice staff. Great customer service. Got a great deal with Groupon. We ordered the steak tartar and cheese selection as our appetizers and the lamb loin and duck as our entrées. For dessert we had the cheesecake. Everything was fantastic. I highly recommend this place and if you enjoy a more modern flair on classic Russian cuisine.
