I love me some phở. It is the seemingly-perfect combination of meats, veggies, and(sometimes) a tasty broth that soothes and cures what ails you. Even on a warm Spring day. I was getting annoyed at the office, and wanted some alone time, so I came down to street to eat alone. Yeah, I do that sometimes, it rocks. This is in a rougher part of town, and the strip mall is especially rough. Just FYI. Walked in, was greeted warmly by a staff member, and sat in the corner. They brought me water quickly, and I ordered a combo of meats. I like the more unique meats in my phở, so I had one with tripe, steak, and tendon. The phở was burning hot, which is spot on. The meat was pink when first served, and turned a lovely brown color when I pushed it into the broth. The meat was tasty and plentiful in terms of steak and tripe, but only had two small pieces of tendon, each about the size of a quarter. Dang! The broth wasn’t anything to write home about, and was a little on the bland side, but hoisin and some Sriracha helped out. I had ordered a Thai coffee, which I think they forgot until I went up to pay. They kindly remade it and gave it to me as a to-go, but I would have probably rather had it with my meal. It was quite good though! Decent phở, decently priced, but nothing all that crazy good. I will be back, especially in the colder months, but will make my way to Federal when hunting for great phở.

Building and area are a little rough but once you step inside it is all good. Staff is very friendly and environment is clean. Best part is the value of their food. Cheap prices and delicious.

I’m a bit of a phở-natic(yes, I’m rolling my eyes at my own terrible pun), so when I first moved to Denver 3 years ago I was determined to find a great Vietnamese spot. It took me a year and a half before I stumbled upon this place. Not only is their phở spectacular, their platters are amazing as well. The egg rolls are also the best I’ve had in a long time. I eat here at least once a week and everyone I’ve brought with me has loved it as well. Best phở place in Denver by far.

We walked in on a Tuesday morning, the service was great. Everyone was very friendly. We had the vegetarian phở and chicken phở. They were very quick on bringing our food out. The soup was warm, but the broth was not the best I’ve had. Overall good place to get quick phở.

Out of my imagination! Once I get in to this tiny restaurant, the attractive smell made me hungry. I ordered a small combination phở and it comes with a lot of meat, and it is only $ 6.95! The only thing is they forgot about my Mango smoothie until I finished my Phở.

We went to the local phở place phở 999 for some phở. We ordered two phở combination bowls. But guess what? I bit something and almost choked on a piece of plastic. It looked like noodles but it weren’t. I’m guessing it’s the plastic twine for the noodles. But when I told them they were like oh we can give you a new one. I’m like it’s fine like I’m hungry and the server said that one will be free. The owner doesn’t even come to apologize and instead apparently the owner told the server that he can’t do free. Tsk tsk that’s sad.

Nice little place. Looks like family run. Good Phở. Oddly enough I really liked the shrimp rolls. They were very good. The meat in the Phở was plentiful, rare, perfect. Had good flavor. The only draw back was the jalapeño were cut too big to enjoy. I’ll be back.

I really like Phở… and I’m not to picky when it comes down to it. However, there are some basics you can’t fall short on. First, the broth has to have some flavor… never side step the broth! Second, never serve frozen spring rolls. Third… if your door shows an American Express card and your menu states«We Accept» an American Express card and your Take Out Menu lists an American Express card… you should probably consider accepting the card as a form of tender or REMOVETHELOGO!!! The one star has nothing to do with the AmEx issue and is specially valued on the food alone. Not worth the visit.

I was working in the area and just wanted to grab something quick to eat for lunch– this place was down the street, so I decided to give it a try. The restaurant is located in a run down shopping plaza and isn’t too impressive to the eye, but don’t let that turn you away! I ordered my go to vietnamese dish-vermicelli bun with bbq pork and iced vietnamese coffee to go. The vermicelli portion was very generous, more than I could eat, and pretty tasty, maybe a little bit more fatty than I’d like. However, the iced coffee was a little bit of a let down, you usually can’t go wrong with this item, but their coffee had an extra burn coffee flavor. I should note, the prices were a little bit on the pricey side for a bun bowl. The place seems to have a good following of local business employees and for good reason! If you’re wanting a quick, satisfying meal this is a good bet!

Since the change of name and I was a little under the weather, I ask Hubs to order our Dinner from here. This recent visit was on Tuesday November 11th2014. Phở 999 offer the norm of Appetizers, Phở, Com(Rice Plates), Bun(Rice Noodle Bowls), Beverages, and Sinh To(Smoothies) to name a few. We ordered our food as TOGOORDER : * Crab Cheese Wontons($ 4.50) * Medium Bowl Shrimp Phở aka Phở Tom($ 7.45) * Grilled Beef Plate aka Com Bo Nuong Cha Gio($ 8.50) The Shrimp Phở, the Beef Broth was ok, nothing fancy, nothing stellar — they can do better. There are 6 shrimp, some Bean Sprouts, 3 slices of Green Jalapeño, 2 stalks of Basil, slices of raw white onions, some«sprinkle» of green onions aka chopped scallions. As for the Grilled Beef Plate its doable, ok. We DONOT consume the Egg Roll since it contains PORK — we threw it away… Overall all the food we ordered are JUSTOK. Take note, ADDITONAL($ 0.25) is charged for each item for TAKEOUT. Each EXTRA Topping is($ 1.95). Even though we are offered 20% Discount, since we ordered after 17:00hrs ish, nothing special to entice us to return. PHO999, is OPENDAILY from 10am to 9pm. Service sucked. 20% off sign was bullshit. I finished my food and went to pay. They gave me bullshit by saying the 20% off was only good after 5pm… well yhen maybe put only after 5pm on the sign that says 20% off. Phở tasted watered down. Noodles were short of. The veggies looked like it was recycled. Horrible service. 1 star because of such disregaurd for the customer. Dont put things up that you cant promise.

Stop by for lunch on my business trip! This place served amazing bowl of Phở. As a Vienamese person, I have to give kudos to the this place. The beef broth soothed my taste very well. I was not surprised that there was not much fatty taste into the broth, which in turn made it feel easy in my stomach. The meat was thick and tasty. It was well tenderized. U just hope their menu served more phở creativity like oxtail, duck, etc. It would make them improve to the new level. But in general, a bowl of phở that feel like home!

Since the ownership change from the Vietnamese Cusine restaurant to phở 999, I am really dissatisfied with the food. Sure they cleaned up the dinning room décor and got a big TV, but phở price is about a buck fifty higher from everyone else in town and the quantity of food is very small. Not a bad phở but value wise, not good at all.

This place is fantastic. I just ordered take out of phở and goi cuon. I haven’t ordered take-out from any Vietnamese establishment so I was a bit skeptical at first. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was! The broth and meats were nicely seasoned and the noodles were well cooked. I had to reheat the broth a bit but that was to be expected. I could only imagine how brilliant it would have been in person. Now, forewarning about the location, if you are new to the area it can be a little precarious. The restaurant itself is well maintained albeit decorated in the early 90’s. But really, who cares! you’re going to eat the Phở not the décor! In general, I’d like to say there is an inverse relationship between style, décor, cleanliness and the overall food quality. Meaning, the dirtier, sketchier, and less modern an establishment is, the better the food will be. I gave it four stars because the goi cuon wasn’t quite what I expected — there was some seasoned beef and the peanut sauce wasn’t as peanut-y as it typically is. It wasn’t bad, just different. Oh. And it is super inexpensive.

So the reason why I gave this place was a 2 star was really becuase of the fact that this place doesnt serve basil with the phở and the siracha and hoisin sauce seems to be watered down. I also thought that the soup base was rather bland and not seasoned well. Ive been to a few other places in the area and this place was by far the bottom of my list,

This was another in a string of okay, but not great restaurants I have been to recently. I was meeting a friend up towards DIA, and we popped in here most based on it being on the way to our destination. The place was almost empty, but the service(getting menus, food, refills) was a bit slow. We started with the Vietnamese spring rolls. They were somewhat dry and the peanut sauce was on the gummy side. Upon their recommendation, we went with the beef stew soup(this is a spicy beef shank stew with largish noodles). The flavor was good, but not great. The serving size was okay. The noodles were perhaps a touch overcooked. The Vietnamese iced coffee I had was fine. I would be willing to come back to they the Phở.

This may be a hole in the wall-mom and pop shop and the presentation may not be the prettiest, but their food reminds me of my mom’s home cook Vietnamese food, which I miss very much. I usually order the bun(vermicelli) thit nuong or the com thit nuong(rice and grilled pork). You can’t go wrong with those dishes. The owners are very kind and personal. They mix the fish sauce for you at your table and take their time to talk to each of their customers. I will definitely return and don’t mind the 10min drive from the Anschutz Medical Campus.
