The space is beautiful and hip, but my chai latte was just pure milk. The sizes are also smaller than most coffee shop, but for almost the same price.

Beautiful and comfortable space but not the best black coffee. I’m rather disappointed by this overly fruity drip selection… I will say, it’s not burnt or improperly made, at least. 2 stars on Unilocal always seems mean but really… meh, I’ve experienced better.

Grumpy grumpy grumpy staff. I live in this building and would rather drive/walk somewhere else if I need coffee or a good work space. I tried to work here one day and it was terribly loud and I had to leave.

I love Metropolis. It’s a beautiful space to quietly work and sip for hours. Great coffee too! ;)

They are located in a great area and under a fancy apartment building, but their house coffee is not very good. Their Chai Tea is what I would recommend. The interior of the shop is really nice and it looks like they serve wine which I always wanted to try but haven’t gotten around to. Metropolis Coffee is just okay nothing special.

The place is nice and the staff is friendly but to be honest, their coffee does not taste good. I ordered an iced coffee and it was brutal. I thought I might have gotten a bad roast or something so when I had another meeting with someone I tried it again and it was just as bad. Not sure if it’s too strong or something but I can’t drink it. My wife had a regular coffee and said the same thing. She couldn’t even finish it. I wanted to like the place but can’t do their coffee. Also their is very little in terms of things to eat.

I don’t drink coffee, but I do drink wine and this coffee shop serves wine! Yay! While waiting for my boyfriend to interview for a job around the corner I hit up this coffee shop to kill some time and read the newspaper. It’s a cute little quiet place in downtown Denver. Looks like a yuppie hangout, which I have no problem with. The staff is courteous and the seating is decent, but the wine is great. The cashier must have a weak wrist because he gave me a very full glass! No complaints here! I’ll be back!

They ran out of iced coffee unfortunately when I went to grab coffee. I got a a iced Americano with soy milk and it was mediocre. I probably would try something else if I ever came back.

Had an excellent Kyoto drip(Iced Coffee) to go. Didn’t try them but they also have Empanadas and pastries.

Great vibe in here, I would recommend Metropolis Coffee as its spacious and well-designed on the inside, has tons of seating and is much better than some coffeehouses in the neighborhood that are just decent. I don’t generally get very fancy with my coffee orders, a basic skinny latte, but each time I’ve tried it at Metropolis I’ve been super happy with the results. If you are in Golden Triangle neighborhood, I would give this place a try.

I hesitate in writing such a great review because then the place will become too crowded however the staff here are so kind the deserve all 5 stars! The coffee is delicious, reminds me of the days when I use to go to the patisserie in the south of France. Their almond milk latter and standard cappuccino are strong and good to the last drip!

Great spot of have a meeting! I’ve been here a couple of times for an afternoon cup of coffee and meeting… and this place rocks. It’s not too loud compared to other shops around town and definitely seems like a head down kind of place. The coffee was fantastic(Novo, i think?). The staff was unpretentious and makes you feel welcomed. I love that in a coffee shop! Now the complaints: Parking can be a pain, though that’s not the shop’s fault. Prices… don’t get me wrong, coffee is a hot commodity in Denver, but geez! $ 4 for what sounds like a simple small latte hurts the pocket book. The experience makes up for my little complaints. :)

Almond milk latte was delicious. However, .75 cents extra is ridiculous, bringing 2 lattes to 10 $. Especially, if you cannot have regular milk. It also bothered me that they did not offer a to go or to stay option. If you stay you should have a proper mug and not a paper cup. It is very wasteful and not environmentally friendly. If it were not for those 2 things it would have been a much better experience.

This is a fantastic example of quality coffee in Denver. They go the extra mile to create an espresso that will knock your socks off. I discovered this gem when I rented a house close by and now that I have moved to a different part of the city I still find myself traveling the four miles back to Metropolis for an exceptional cup of joe. Highly recommended.

Dion makes a bad ass pour over. Tell him what you want and he can pick the perfect roast. The coffee has a very balanced taste with deep rich flavor. Get the Kenya mbeguka aa it’s amazing.

Excellent coffee. Friendly staff, living room atmosphere. Unpretentious. 5 stars. I dont know of I’ve ever seen a triple water filter before. Obviously a custom job concocted by obsessive freaks. Places like Metropolis raise the bar on Denver’s coffee house scene. An additional note: this review is for the 11th and Cherokee location. But I do want to point out that metropolis has improved the service at what was once Happy Coffee Broadway. That was a pretentious place. Metropolis and has un-snobified that experience as well.

I like the espresso here so much that I have yet to stray from my Americano order. The espresso is so rich and delicious. They redecorated and got rid of the shelves filled with books. I miss those, but the space is still nice – warm colors and now more open, just not quite as cozy as before. It always makes me smile when a business thinks of our canine friends, and there are free dog biscuits near the side door. I’m a fan, and my dogs would be too if they had the chance to take a stroll in this neighborhood.

I liked this coffee shop well enough. The drip coffee was relatively cheap and tasted fine, they offer a selection of baked goods which were also reasonably priced. Home made pop tart was the real seller. No dogs allowed, however there was a misleading dog treat bowl inside the establishment which threw me off.

I’ve come here a few times but have forgotten to submit a review. Each time I’ve had the regular latte, they have always been pretty good and consistent. The service was pretty good and friendly, the store is really clean, and has a nice setup. I did take a friend with me once, she got the latte and did not like it, however she is used to drinking instantly coffee and has no real taste for good coffee so im not sure how much weight can be given to her opinion. I have no issues with going there again when im nearby and want some coffee.
