Place was empty, had to wait about 20 minutes to receive a pizza that was burnt to a black crisp. Horrible

Surprising in many ways! A lunch at Live Basil pizza is an unforgettable experience, not to be missed by anyone. It is a simple restaurant, the food is amazing and you will be thinking about the truffle oil long after the meal is over. Id like to start with the greeting first, Vince always hollers my name and we constantly throw up the«Rock» together. Makes me smile every time, second stage of this tasty ride takes me up to Asudee who ALWAYSSMILES and ask’s me how my day is. The usual I say, because the Arugula Mushroom pizza is a winner. I still cannot believe how fresh the food is and how amazing the staff are. Last but not least, Sarah always makes sure my pizza comes out perfect. This place deserves 6 stars for the atmosphere, the crew, the food and the way they make you smile. Thank you for providing all those amazing lunches to me while I worked at Big 5 next door.

The service and people who work here… Sarah, Vince and Asudee were so fun, friendly and awesome. Pizza is mediocre, unfortunately, no fault of these great employees. Concept of restaurant is the Chipotle of Pizza. If you’re looking for fast food pizza, it’s good enough. Worth a try. Admittedly, I’m a bit critical of this restaurant concept comparing to real Italian pizza… which may not be fair. Comparing apples to oranges.

First off, this location does not have salted caramel shakes. The menu and boards have not been updated. Other than that huge disappointment, it was nice. I stopped here to get out of rush hour traffic, and found a nice quite place to have dinner. I ordered their spicy pizza and the meatball app. The meatballs were tasty, but if you had the ones at Patxi’s you won’t be impressed with their size. Then again, LBP’s are half the price. The sauce they are served in is out of this world. The pizza was yummy, with nice flavors — but like other fast cook pizza places, the meat toppings lose their heat quickly. Cooking pizza is an art form, but once they solve the topping heat issue and get salted caramel shakes back, this place will be amazing.

My boyfriend and I went to this location last night for a late dinner. We were greeted with a smile and big hello/welcome from the girl behind the counter. We placed our order, her and the guy helping her were beyond accommodating of our pizza with any special requests we had. My boyfriend got a create your own and I got the chef’s special. While our pizzas were cooking we had nice conversations with both of them and they were so friendly(although they seemed like totally different types of people they were equally nice). I am not a big reviewer unless service is outstanding or terrible. Luckily this experience was beyond exceptional. I know it’s just a chain pizza place but it left a great impression on both my boyfriend and I so I had to write a review for them. We have been to other live basil pizza locations but none were nearly as impressionable as this location. The tall girl with brown hair and guy with dreads both need a reward or raise!

I was greeted by friendly staff who got right to the order and preparation. I had the Arugula Truffle Wild Mushroom and Arugula Lemon Pistachio Salad, both were memorably tasty — I come to Denver every three weeks and will make this Live Basil Pizza a regular stop.

My wife and I have been to this Live Basil more than half a dozen times. I love getting to create my own pizza. The ingredients are super fresh, I usually am eating my hot pizza within 3 minutes of paying and the people are always fun and personable. Also the prices are great. I totally recommend Live Basil.

Better than some of the big pizza chains, but not as scrumptious as other Chipotle-style pizza places I’ve tried. The staff was quick and friendly, and the cookies were delicious. The Chef’s Special pizza we had was okay but was lacking in deliciousness(better cheese maybe?). I might go back for a different pizza if there was a location nearby.

Excellent pizza. Set up like a Chipotle, you pick your toppings and watch them make your pizza. The oven is open so you can watch it cook right in front of you. The garlic knots? In a word: awesome! Maybe they’ll expand to Arizona? Here’s hoping!

My pizza duo was delicious. The crust was perfect and salad was very fresh. I would return when I’m back in Denver.

I must admit I was both skeptical and excited when Live Basil opened up across Quebec Street from where I work. Here’s the break down: 1 — It’s fast and convenient. 2 — Being the basil fiend that I am I must admit this added another level of joy, all the ingredients are fresh and delicious! 3 — Prices are just right for a lunch for one. Especially if you have a coupon! I can agree with other reviews that I wouldn’t make it my destination or go out of my way, but working nearby means I’ll be back for sure!

Hopefully they expand more in Colorado because I NEED one of these nearby my house! It’s like a Subway for pizza! You can create your own pizza or select one of theirs off the menu then they cook it right in front of you in a brick oven.

LOVETHISPLACE! I’m not from up here, but I followed Unilocal to this place and am SOHAPPY I did. Vince(very cute) took fantastic care of us, as did everyone else. What a great meal — got the Rocky Mountain with sausage and meatballs. Ate the whole damn thing even though Vince didn’t think I could.(BAM!) Light, airy crust with fresh toppings and wonderful red sauce. Eat here. It will make you happy. I’ll be back.

I like their pizza because its fresh, fast, healthy, and tasty. I especially like the pesto chicken pie, nice to get some low fat protein. you can order their designer combos, or make your own. be advised, if you make your own it may not crisp up on the bottom because you have too many toppings. Their designer pizzas are calibrated so to speak to come out. I usually go with their recipes and add or subtract a few things without getting crazy. Pizzas are small enough and priced right to get a few different to try and have a couple pieces for lunch the next day.

I really like the idea of live basil pizza, a personalized pizza which you get to pick all your delicious toppings right before your eyes. Like the Chipotle or Subway of pizza making! But every time I come here, the pizza is always soggy and under-cooked when I get home. I will say they are working on this, and last time I went the staff told me to get 5 or less toppings because it’s difficult to cook all the way through otherwise. I really appreciated this, so I got four toppings and I’m not a meat eater so I figured this would be much easier to cook. But that pizza was still wet in the center, so I would just encourage this place to cook the pies a little longer. The last pie I ordered to go, I just put it in my oven when I got home and it was really delicious.

This place is much like Pizza Locale in Denver or Pieology in San Jose. They have fresh dough that they roll out and top in front of you and they bake it in their open oven. The pizzas are very basic and simple and ingredients are fresh. The canned tomato tins on the tables though kind of throw off the concept of fresh. So it is like a Chipotle style restaurant with the only difference being that they serve pizza rather than burritos. This place is called fresh basil because their toppings area has a bunch of fresh basil in potted planters. What I ordered though had no basil on it. I tried the maui BBQ natural chicken pizza(Smoky BBQ sauce, Italian cheese blend, all natural chicken breast, red onions, pineapple, imported olive oil, fresh cilantro) & the arugula, truffle, wild mushroom pizza(white pizza, Italian cheese blend, shaved Parmesan cheese, marinated wild mushrooms, fresh wild arugula, imported Italian truffle oil. The first one is a little under $ 9 and the 2nd1 was a little under $ 10. Each pizza is enough to serve one person. I preferred the arugula truffle pizza over the maui one because the maui one lacked punch and flavor. It tasted fine but was a bit on the dry side. These aren’t your typical pizzas with tons of sauce and cheese so a simpler almost blander taste is to be expected. I do like that these felt healthier though because of that missing cheese/sauce.

This establishment is located in the Quebec Square — Stapleton, Shopping Strip Mall. After running errands, we wanted something quick and decent to this Live Basil Pizza we went. Yes, you order at the counter, and either they sent it to you at the table you are seating or you can pick up your order at the counter. While the staff preparing the Pizza, in this establishment, you can also find the HUGEPIZZAOVEN, and all the action at the Ordering Counter. This recent visit was on Sunday March 23rd2014. Little did we know, they were having a Soft Opening in this part of Neighborhood. The cost of each Pizza was between $ 8 to $ 10. Each Additional Toppings will cost $ 0.75. They also offer Gluten Free Crust pizza. The Salads were between $ 3.50 and $ 8. The General Manager of this Live Basil Pizza Stapleton Location, his name is Scott Schaden. While we were there, we decide to order the Create Your Own Pizza with the following ingredients : * Pesto Sauce * Chicken * Fresh Jalapeño * Mushrooms(On one Half of the Pizza) * Olives(On the Other Half of the Pizza) * Marinated Peppers We waited for about 10 minutes or so, for our Pizza to be ready. I was surprised that Hubs like what we ordered and had. The combination was good. Then we also opt to have No 7. Maui BBQ Natural Chicken Pizza, and the LBP Chopped Salad WITHOUT The Bacon TOGO. I like the CYO Pizza with Pesto Sauce, The Best, 2nd Favorite was the one with Feta Cheese. Hubs favorite was the CYO Pizza, following the Maui BBQ Natural Chicken Pizza. All in all, we liked what we ordered. DEFINITELY returning to this location since its CLOSEST to where we live and may do some events with them in the near future. There is also a Patio seating area, if you intend to have your meal outside. Left the establishment about 15:45hrs ish.
