My wife’s order was wrong. Every time I go there it seems the portion size for their brisket sandwich gets smaller and smaller or their bun is getting larger. I remember starting my meal by eating the meat that couldn’t stay on the bun, now you can’t see it without lifting the bun. Another thing to note, ask to not be seated in the bar area if you do not plan on having drinks, the bartender waits on you and if the bar gets busy you won’t be seeing him for awhile.

Sem is the best bartender and server ever! She also is very attentive to her customer’s needs and a great conversationalist. Be sure to request her services you will not be disappointed!!!

Went to this spot with some co workers as we were looking for an establishment that offered BBQ and country cooking. The scenery of this place is rustic but clean with abundance of tin and wood. Now for the food, I decided to go for the Catfish and sides of collards and mac and cheese. The catfish was fried in cornmeal and cooked perfect. Collards were tender and had some solid flavor. The mac and cheese was weak and something I expected to be better. The rest of my party ordered the brisket and pulled pork sandwich. Nobody was raving about their meal and didn’t care for their side items. This is a chain restaurant so you get the basics and nothing special added on. Good place for a bite, but not the best if you’re looking for solid BBQ.

Traveling around Denver I had the chance to visit Jim and Nicks so good we went twice. The interior of the building had a nice cowboy look and the wait staff were dressed accordingly. Kirstyn, our most excellent server, was requested for our second Bar BQ experience. Her genuinely friendly and cheery persona really added to our dining pleasure. On both occasions. The corn muffins served at the beginning of the meal are absolutely delicious and a refill was provided during the course of the meal. Kirsten was helpful with our dining choices and was very attentive during both our visits. The beef brisket that we ordered on both of our visits was absolutely delicious, the best I’ve had in a restaurant. Other entrees of baby back ribs, smoked prime rib, and smoked chicken was enjoyed by my dining partners. Sides of Mac and cheese were tasty and the star of the sides list were the collard greens they were outstanding. The next trip to Denver will definitely include as least one visit to this restaurant that really has their act together.

Very good BBQ. Baby back ribs were awesome, brisket was fatty but had good flavor. I sat at the bar two nights in a row and had good service both times. The Carolina pulled pork(vinegar and pepper) was very good but could use a little more heat. The regular pulled pork was very good, nice chunks with«bark» throughout. I like that they didn’t put much if any sauce on the meat and give you two sauces to use if you want. Decent selection of beer on tap, lots of CO local brews like Dales Pale Ale, etc. I’ll make it a point to hit this place again when in CO.

For starters the restaurant is on 46th street, not 49th. Hopefully they have now fixed their website. Service was fine, they have New Belgium and Odell beers, and we are from Fort Collins. Their cole slaw is excellent with a vinegar base dressing and not too much. Now the not so good. I got Carolina pulled pork. Now my experience is with western Carolina and they stated it was eastern. This was just a vinegar only dressing. My experience with western is a vinegary, but tomato and other items in the barbecue sauce. So I mixed in their barbecue sauce and got something similar to what I wanted. My wife got brisket and since they offered chopped she took that version. It was extremely fatty. Enough so she did not eat a third of it. She talked to our server near the end of the meal, and the server brought some sliced brisket. It was wonderful. The manager came to our table and offered us some brisket to take home. No we were staying at a hotel with no way to keep it. She then offered some dessert. Again no, we were both stuffed. She then offered to reduce the price. She did and the amount was nicely appropriate. So even though not perfect good service improved the experience.

The food is excellent at the Northfield location. They seem to have a few young @%# holes that work there though(noon time hostess and a certain waiter)

I was really impressed with this restaurant! Walking up, you could smell the meat smoking which was a good sign. The little biscuit muffins you get when sitting down are delicious, I could eat the whole basket! I wanted something lighter for lunch and got the grilled chicken plate. If tasted great but was really only a plain piece of grilled chicken and a small pile of greens so I feel like they could be a little more creative. The rest of my group’s meals all looked great though so I’ll definitely be back and will just try something a little more substantial next time!

I guess it was not my day for chopped beef. After a failure at lunch, dinner was not much better. I ordered the chop beef salad. It had a few too many pieces of fat. The cheese biscuits were pretty good and even better when they came piping hot. I ordered a side of mac & cheese. That was the best mac that I had. It was better than the lunch spot. It was prefectly baked not overdone but still creamy and cheese. I was full from the salad, but had to finish the mac. It was not going to be wasted. The Arnold Palmer tea was ok. I would have preferred the tea a lot sweeter. It’s a southern thing. We like our tea like syrup.

One word… Delicious! This place has a really cool atmosphere and smell so good. We were seated right away and got our food within 10 minutes. The waitress was very polite and tentative. The food was really good too, which is the most important thing. I got pulled chicken and my boyfriend got a big plate with pork and beef. They were all juicy and hot. The BBQ sauce was really tasty too and they had two options to choose from. The Mac n’ Cheese and fries we had as a side tasted homemade… so good! I would definitely recommend you try this place.

First time at Jim & Nick’s; we weren’t disappointed! We went early in Saturday to take advantage of the Prime Rib special(Fri & Sat only). Prime rib it’s one of the missus favorites, it came with a dinner salad & loaded baked potato. She was very satisfied. I opted four the pulled pork w/mac & cheese and coke slaw. We were both really happy with our meals and totally full. The prime rib was better than our usual joint, but a little more pricey(still very reasonably priced at $ 23). My slaw had a bit too much vinager, but the pork was tender & juicy. Everything else was great. Oh, how could I forget to mention, a very nice whisky selection. All the usual suspects(Makers, Bulliet) were present, headlined by a classic Blanton’s. Skip the appetizer, you’ll get plenty to eat! Well be back!

First time here and the experience was awesome! First no reservation but under 5 minutes to be seated and they were busy for lunch. The server Juan is spectacular knows the menu, recommended the cabbage and was very attentive. Second the food is excellent and just like home taste with perfect flavor. In addition to having fried cabbage I had the brisket plate and Mac n Cheese can’t say enough about the flavor. If they ever build in San Diego they will give Phil’s BBQ a run for their money for sure. Highly recommend so enjoy!

I just stopped in for drinks because I had just shoved 3 pounds of popcorn into my face at the movie theater next door.(ok that’s an over exaggeration but that’s how it felt). I love love love Jim ‘N Nicks and was very sad to not have the capability to stretch my limits and go for a full-on grub. We did have the queso dip which was VERY tasty but served in a tiny little bowl. I won’t name names but SOMEONE at the table basically cleaned the bowl with their finger.(Hint, it wasn’t me but it just as well may have been —

Well this place is thoroughly underwhelming. We started out with the barbecue nachos with brisket on top. The brisket was a dollar more than the other meats which was weird because there wasn’t a dollar of meat on there to begin with. The shredded cheese on top wasn’t melted either which was weird. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be that way, but it was, and it was bad. Cutting to the chase, between my wife and I we tried the brisket and both kinds of pork. There are a couple amazing places for BBQ around town like Waynes and GQue. This place isn’t in the same league and it’s almost hard to believe that it’s the same genre of food. The flavor was ok but there was basically zero bark and smoke. If someone had told me it came out of a crock pot I might have believed them. The sides were all pretty basic and not really worth addressing. The lone highlight of the meal was probably the little corn bread muffins. They were pretty tasty and I think we went through three or four baskets. Primarily because the food took forever to come out and they kept bringing the muffins to tide us over. Neither of us ordered alcohol and I had water so I nearly fell out of the booth when the tab came to sixty bucks after tip.

Pretty tasty BBQ. We don’t get to Stapelton very often, so wasn’t sure what to expect. I had the pulled pork and brisket. The pork was ok, but the brisket was so nice and tender. The mac and cheese was pretty good too. The atmosphere was cool and trendy and everyone seemed nice. Over all it was just good. We have good BBQ by our house, so I don’t think we will make the trip out just for BBQ, but I could see us returning when we are in the neighborhood.

Very disappointed in the Stapleton location. Went in at 8:30pm with our newborn for dinner. We were told there was a 5 minute wait and we were the only ones waiting. 5 minutes later 3 officers come in and then they get sat before us. My husband confronted the manager and was told law enforcement has a «deal» with the owner to get sat before anyone else waiting. It’s not right that just because of you job you can take advantage. My husband is Active Dity Military but you don’t see him walking all over town in his uniform for attention and priority. We ended up leaving and as we were leaving another female manager apologized and said its because one of the officers has a relationship with one of the employees. My response to that was«that’s still not a good enough excuse»

Another barbecue place that does not serve peach cobbler. I just don’t get it Denver. Aside from that, I like this joint. All of the food was good. I’m still trying to decide how I feel about the cheesy yet sweet cornbread muffins. The service was quick and friendly(a bit too friendly for my introverted self) and the atmosphere was good. We were able to watch multiple, mounted flat screens as we enjoyed our meal. This place will remain on our list of places to visit when the craving for barbecue hits.
