Since August of 2015 I’ve tried to eat here. Today I discovered it has become a bus parking lot! Don’t plan to get bbq here. They seem to be out of business.

The restaurant is no longer open, they only do catering now. So sad I’ve been dinning her since I was a child.

Good BBQ at moderate prices. Lots of food on the plate and the side dishes are homemade. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of throughout the meal. Décor not the best but made up for by the meal and service.

I’m a sucker for sausage. Spicy sausage or a hot link at a BBQ place to be more precise. And today’s selection of the spicy sausage sandwich for lunch did not disappoint. An abundant serving of sliced smoked sausage on a fresh, lightly toasted bun hit the spot. Add some chopped onion from the thick slice that was served on the side, a few pickles, some classic house BBQ sauce and some perfectly cooked crispy fries and you got a pretty tasty satisfying lunch. Drink water with that and you’re under ten bucks.

If you like licking a monkeys ass while bile is coming out… you’ll love Bennett’s Been here 3 times, first time GREAT Some of the best ribs I’ve ever had, I mean really first class, second time garbage, third time monkey pus. It really is God awful. I would rather eat out of a dumpster at a Mexican restaurant.

Got to Denver late and didn’t feel like pizza again. My wife found Bennett’s in the hotel travel guide. I had the chopped beef sandwich and she had the Texas toothpick brisket sandwich. My wife(who is the pickiest eater I know) told me that the brisket was«the best sandwich she’s ever eaten. My chopped beef was no slouch either. The meat was very rich and had just the right tangy flavor. My only complaint is not having a mouth big enough to get the sandwich in without having to cut it up first. We’ll be stopping in again the next time we’re in Denver.

Very much a country feel to the décor. The brisket and pork were cooked/smoked just right. The ribs were well done with a nice BBQ sauce glaze that didn’t over power the taste of the meat. The only negative is the chicken was a bit dry. Overall, you can’t beat their prices and they have a pretty large selection to choose from. They also have a full bar and happy hours specials.

The beans were the best part of the rib platter I had for lunch. The ribs were kinda dry and the sauce was bleh’. Fast friendly service though.

This place is a diamond in the rough. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover(or horrible area of town to be located) I absolutely ADORE the happy hour(7 days a week 3 – 6) which includes cheap delicious beers. Love to hit up this place after school at the Anschutz Medical Campus. They don’t have the largest selection, but 4 – 5 craft beers(fat tire, ect.) usually covers all bases in terms of personal preference. This place is hardly crowded which is a weird thing to experience when in Denver. I like to sit at the bar– they usually have various games playing on the TV’s. Drinks aside(even though we all know there’s not much else that needs to be said besides cheap drinks haha), the food is great as well! Huge servings and great prices… not much more you could ask for! I like the pulled pork and mac n cheese. For the more hefty eaters out there, they also do a variation of «all you can eat» for about $ 20. Talk about the meat sweats. Each time I’ve gone, the bartenders and servers have been super friendly which is an added perk to all of the above. It’s a shame the new construction makes this place a tad less visible/accessible off of Peoria, regardless, it’s worth it… especially if you are near the medical campus in Aurora.

I got a BOGO coupon from my realtor so I decided to give this place a try. It’s not on the same level as some other BBQ places in town, but I was generally pretty happy. Nothing was stellar, but it also was better than I expected. You get a lot of bang for your buck here, do that’s always a good thing, especially with the fried pickles.

I haven’t been to a Bennett’s in many years — and never been to this one even though at one time years ago I used to pass by on a regular basis. A friend was buying me lunch and this was her choice. Overall it was a good meal. I had the BBQ Mac and Cheese — it was a tasty and a good portion. The beef brisket that they put on top was tender and had a great flavor. Staff was for the most part attentive but there was a time or two that we had to flag down a server for one thing or another. Word of warning since they have done major road work in the area it is an adventure to find the entrance of this place.

When I first moved here on this side of town. I was so excited too see a Bbq place and it was one I remembered from Texas! Talk about mouth watering excitement! Well…That certainly wasn’t the case when we went! We took the whole family which we are all from Texas too! Wow! The food, the food was Horrible and I almost cried!!! What an embarrassment to the Name and quality of food it’s known for serving in the south! I ordered a brisket sandwich and it was the most disgusting thing I have ever had barbecue wise! I don’t even know if it was barbecue? It was completely dried out and full of fat chunks of it! One bite and I spit it out! Enough said I would NOT recommend this place at all not even to the homeless! Believe it or not famous Dave’s is over here and it’s outstanding yes it’s a franchise too but it’s a good one also rib city it might be all the way up north but is well worth the drive! you have been forewarned on the quality of barbecue and meat they are serving there! I have lived here now for almost 7 months on the side of town and I avoid it like the plague! Get rid of this place and put something in that will serve anything better then they are serving!!! #Gross #disgusting

Giving Texas a bad name. The BBQ sauce isn’t hot. Do yourself a favor and specify lean brisket. If you don’t you will get a few slices a gristle hidden under sauce. If they weren’t the only BBQ place in an area filled with construction companies they would have to step up their game or close.

It saddens me to write this review because I used to love this place but since it re-opened after the fire it has gone downhill. The reason why is the food quality and portion sizes. I have been here three times trying to give my favorite BBQ restaurant in Colorado a swinging chance to impress me, but they have failed many times. Please take heed, it is not the Bennett’s of old so if you want good BBQ look elsewhere.

I always order the charred grilled chicken with their signature sweet & tangy barbecue sauce with a side of french fries and french bread. I like their sweet tea without a wedge of lemon. Always good for supper!

Back in the day before Dave’s, we would frequent Bennett’s here locally so haven’t been a long time. Went for lunch with my girls, had the bbq mac and cheese, the brisket was ok but the mean was cold. We had a coupon so we didn’t pay much but it’s not the way I remember Bennett’s. The service was ok. Overall I may go back but noting is worse to me than cold food!!!

Had the brisket meal, which was pretty good– definitely a lot of food. However, I got take out and when I asked on the phone how long the food will take, I was told it would be about a minute. So I drove over immediately, arrived 20 min later and my food was kinda cold. I would have rather waited for my food to be assembled for a minute rather than get the lukewarm food.

This place is amazing. It has a friendly atmosphere, clean, comfortable. I could go on and on. As soon as my wife and I walked in the door we were greeted with a warm smile and shown to a booth. Our food was ordered and served within 10 min. The ribs practicaly fell off the bone. The waitress was friendly and checked on us periodically. The restraunt was full of chatter and laughter. There was country music playing overhead and not overbearing. The only down-side to this place is that i was to full for seconds.

This Bennett’s BarBQue would probably get a 3 star for the overall dine in experience. However, one evening after a late meeting I stopped in to pick up dinner for the husband and I; Bennett’s gets an extra star for above average takeout. He had the brisket and I had the turkey; my turkey is still the best I have had including what we ate on our Southern road trip. The service was excellent and it seems I am not the only one who thinks Bennett’s take out is good as there was a steady stream of customers. As I said, the dining area seemed a bit dingy but I did not care as that succulent turkey was wonderful served on a TV tray.

I am a fan of the Bennett’s Po’ Boy… and for a BBQ house to do decent sandwiches is important. Because if you’re like me… you may be mentally asking yourself, «What’s the best sandwich I can enjoy for $ 10 or less?» My Poor Boy is an easy rival to that H-burger I did last night. Both very good sandwiches, and obviously, very different. I’m basing my 4-star opinion on stopping by in the late afternoon just for a sandwich. I bought the Poor Boy, which is brisket and sausage on what I’d guess is a 5 inch roll. They gave me two types of sauce, their regular and sweet. There was an onion slice and pickle slices on the side. And for the $ 8, It also came with a side, which I made their cole slaw. When I got back to my hotel room, I slowly worked my way through each half of the sandwich, which I sauced liberally, and added that very good cole slaw. It took me about twenty minutes to finish my sandwich, and I savored each bite. I’m glad I took my time. It was very good. I get that Bennett’s has two locations. And I’ll bet this location is the lower volume store.(just a guess based on number of reviews and location) I’ve seen the low reviews, and with BBQ, I’ll say that I’ve had my issues with«the bad side» of a number of BBQ retailers. However, I’m guessing that at Bennett’s, «to-go» orders may have a better chance of surviving your opinion, because you’ve eliminated the dining service issues, if there were to be any. But all that aside, I have a hunch this is a decent BBQ house that just needs some tweaking by the owner and manager. Final verdict? This is real BBQ. After eating my sandwich… I had to wash my hands and face a couple times to reduce the«smoke aroma.» Real smoke BBQ leaves my clothes, skin and mouth reliving the experience… but that’s a good thing. And my sandwich had«brisket burnt ends», which made this sandwich stop even more worthwhile. Give ‘em a shot. I really hope they come through for you like they did for me.
