Horrible customer service. Tyler and staff did not help us find a lost ID and threatened to call the police on us just for questioning the staff whether or not this was genuinely lost… Versus misplaced. Henry staff clearly lost our ID.

We stopped in at Harry’s Bar for a quick drink before a Saturday night dinner. It was the Saturday of the Kentucky Derby and most bars were packed full of mostly drunk yuppies so we were looking for something off the beaten path. Harry’s was quaint, small and reminded me of a 1950’s hotel and bar from Phoenix — the Hotel Valley Ho. Moscow Mule was excellent. The malbec was excellent as well. If we ever stay at the Magnolia or are in the area again we will stop in for a drink.

My family and I stayed at the Magnolia over the weekend. Lourdes, the manager was more than accommodating to our dietary needs. My family loved all the food-lamb, pork, seafood, etc. The chef made me a special vegan pasta dish which turned out amazing! Jenny, our other server was very personable and sweet. The bartender(another manager that I forgot the name of with salt and pepper hair and beard) was very nice and gave us great drink recommendations. Overall, amazing ambience, food, service, and drinks. Will be coming here again when in town!

I am getting in the habit of liking hotel bars. You would think that if you don’t stay at a hotel, why would you go to a hotel to drink and eat at their restaurant? I see the point now. Harry’s is great. Upscale, but laid back at the same time. Every server I have ever had is great. Upbeat, ready to serve, and a place to be seen on the scene. Just a hint for the ladies… the restrooms are downstairs a winding staircase. Think about this when you wear your sparkly heels(as I did, on New Year’s Eve. I made it, because I walk like a boss in heels, but if you wobble like a lot of girls do, trade in those heels for flats. Trust me, you will thank me later). The crafted cocktails are strong and sophisticated, and may just knock you on your ass. The Manhattan is phenomenal, and I am so proud of a place that can do it right. And the cherry on the bottom? Not just any cherry. I popped that SOB like no one’s business. Adorable chic, not too upscale while being fancy at the same time(does that make sense? You have to experience it to know what I’m saying).

I wish I could have another chance with this place. I walked in super excited. Ready to make the best of the quick appetizer. Going on date night with girl for cooking class. Joaquin? Was rude at first with the coupon from Unilocal site because of restaurant week does not include the Unilocal offer. I get that. But… I wasn’t here for restaurant week offer. Take your Unilocal offer off. I’m here for a drink an appetizer. I checked in to the hotel cause it was awesome not cause I’m trying to get free stuff. That’s just a bonus. The appetizer that came was great and small. Perfect for the night to start. Joaquin has been good afterwards but just set mood wrong from the start… Not cool. I added 1 star after his good service and great tiny appetizer. I’m a business owner, hate giving bad reviews. $ 16.20 for 1 martini w free delicious appetizer. Add a few $$$$ to the Unilocal add.

We had been here once before for a special birthday and thought we’d go back again on a special weekend. What a mistake. I’ve never been more insulted by a waitress in my life. She was extremely rude coming to the table and asking very angrily«Can I help you!!!» We asked for drink menus, she came back and violently slammed them down on the table. This ruined a very much anticipated experience at what was a cool place in the past. I am not sure I’ll come back here again and it’s a shame for Harry’s because it was my companies Holiday party, there were ten of us and we were going to drop some money on the usually good drinks. This waitress lost out on a good tip. Totally disappointed us…

The bartender was a complete a-hole. I asked for an NA beer and a menu. I’m a guest at the hotel and was looking for food. He told me they didn’t have any NA beers. I said: really? You’re kidding. He said«hey. We’re a bar» in a very snide tone. The commentary was NOT appreciated. Nor was the greasy chicken sandwich. I know you’re a bar.

Stopped in for a couple drinks on a Saturday afternoon. The mojito martini was great and the bartender was very nice and had helpful suggestions for dinner. Will be back again!

I attended a conference at the hotel that included lunch for four days in Harry’s Bar. Three hits and one miss. Every day included at least one shared appetizer and an entrée. Street Tacos, Cobb Salad and Club sandwich were all above average. The one miss was the Blue cheese burger, I asked for it medium and it was well done and dry. Very dry. The quality of the meat was good but almost inedible. Again the service very good except for one day when they appeared understaffed.

Since I stay at the Magnolia hotel, I order room service sometimes. I ordered the steak street tacos and raspberry crème brûlée cheesecake. The tacos were not good, not even mediocre. The guacamole was not good. The tacos were dry. I was highly disappointed. I then proceeded with the cheesecake. It was delicious! If cheesecake could be my dinner and fulfill my appetite, I think I would’ve been happy. However, I ate a few bites and still desired a nice dinner. The next morning, I was starving! Luckily for me, the hotel serves complimentary breakfast.

Very very cute bar located inside of a hotel. It is beautifully decorated with a very romantic ambiance. Service was very friendly.

Cozy little bar hidden on a corner and connected to a ritzy Hotel, Harry’s Bar is a hip joint that vibes that old school 70’s popping martini lounge. Bright lights, white shiny walls, while«The Girl From Ipanema» gingerly plays in the background and plenty of TV’s for you and /or guests to sit back and enjoy. We sat in a «lounge-style» section with a round booth that can take care of a party of about 20 – 25 people. We were welcomed by the cheerful bartender behind the counter along with the manager who actually came out and greeted my sister, cousin, mother-in-law and I when we sat down. He referenced that I looked like Robert Downey, Jr. so I had to call R.D.J. to let him know our cover was blown. I grabbed the locally brewed Great Divide Brewing Co. Titan IPA. I recently became a big fan of the IPA world and have not looked back since. Cold, crisp, with a little bite. this beer is made from fresh water up in the Rockies and packs a little punch. Instantly refreshed, I’m happy to say I’ve found a local beer I can rep home in Cali for my folks out in Denver. The rest of the family ordered their drinks, all of which arrived within a timely manner. We placed an order for some burger sliders and steak street tacos. both were tantalizing to the nose hairs and taste buds. Tasty appetizers paired with the perfect brew at happy hour, my stomach agreed that we were happy campers. With a chill atmosphere, easy access to the 16th Street Mall, plenty of public transportation, plenty of parking close-by, a great local beer selection along with a welcoming staff and laid back patrons. Harry’s is a cool spot in Downtown Denver to take off your hat, sit back, relax and have a cold one with some good people.

Quirky little bar attached to the Magnolia hotel. I would say this is a cool little spot to grab a drink before heading out or after dinner. Neat layout for a small spot, lots of little dividers that give the impression of pockets of privacy. We liked it…

Had, Couple local brews but last call at 11:30 so was pretty much tolled they were going to be closing up even though the bar had at least 15 people in it. The place was pretty cool and seemed to be about one of the only non 16 street mall options that was open at this hour! I met a card magician at the bar who was impressing the girls next to him and once he got bored with him, decided to blow my mind with a few card tricks, he did! So I bought him a shot and we talked until the bartender said, time to roll out folks. Nice spot to meet a few locals, but never like to be asked to leave a place before midnight?

Wow! We got some wonderful service here even though we were Groupon users! Made me feel like a guest of the hotel’s. I don’t normally drink but it was happy hour and the Dreamsicle Martini($ 8 — Malibu Rum, Absolut Citron, Cream of Coconut, Triple Sec) sounded really good, and it was! You should see the spread of food we got and they were pushed out on a cart from the kitchen located elseware from the bar — making it look like room service! The four of us shared two burgers: — «Perfect with Bacon» Burger($ 10 — Colorado Natural Angus Beef, Sharp White Cheddar, Applewood Smoked Bacon, on a Brioche Bun) — Short Rib stuffed Kobe Burger($ 12 — Sharp Cheddar, Brioche Bun, Beefsteak Tomato, Caramelized Onion) Both were excellent and our waiter remembered to bring us regular and sweet potato fries. Lettuce Wrap($ 9 Silver Noodles, Pulled Beef Short Rib, String Veggies, Hoisen Sweet n Spicy BarBQ, Crushed Peanut and Lime) was recommended on a restaurant review book but it was meh, the meat was kind of dry and the sauce was not enough. The Honey Curried Chicken Salad with Brioche Toast($ 5) was my idea of an appetizer and it was HEAVENLY, one person in our goup doesn’t normally like curry but he couldn’t seem to be able to stop eating it that night, lol. We weren’t gonna grab dessert but our total didn’t add up to the $ 50 Groupon price because our server gave us happy hour prices on everything! Bless his heart and I asked if I could get a dessert to make it over $ 50, he gladly complied and brought out this Crème Brulee that didn’t look as if it’d be any good. Because instead of the normal sheet of torched sugar, it was sprinkles of crystalized sugar and the custard looked pale. But as soon as I had a bit I fell in love, it was vanilla bean flavored which explained the color. We liked our server so much for working with us so we tipped him $ 20. Even without a Groupon, I thought the food at Harry’s was very reasonable(not sure about the drinks, to me, they’re always expensive even during Happy Hour). I’d remember this place and visit again if I’m wandering in downtown!

The service here is not amazing, but it’s good enough for me. It’s either too«in your face», or too«hello, does anyone work here?» — rarely the perfect combination. On the plus side, they have an excellent happy hour menu with fantastic drink specials and tasty small plates! In fact, they offer several not-so-small plates as well at a discounted price between 4:30 — 6:30pm. If you’re into hotel bars and happy happy hours, this is the place to be in Denver.

UnilocalDRINKSDENVER! Round One 4÷08÷2011 Love the«trendy» Jet Set/Art Deco fusion Styling! I met up with a group of about a dozen or so fellow Denver Unilocalers last evening to start a great evening of cocktails, amazing food and meeting more new great people and capturing the night on my VLOG (watch here: ) 6:30 on Friday evening and this place gets packed. The smallish space does get a bit noisy — but then I’m sure our group helped increase the overall decibel count quite a bit. Drinks: We had an excellent variety of Unilocal drink specials to choose from(and I took a bus to get downtown) — I decided it best to play copycat on the ladies who were about 20 mins ahead of me and enjoy a Chandon Champagne split to welcome the weekend in style. My second selection was a very nicely made Absolut Lemon Drop Martini Staff: The bar staff was top notch for the volume they were experiencing. I even got the Rockies game on TV during a pretty heavy service bar push– thanks again! I’m really looking forward to my next visit to Harry’s– thanks again Laura and the rest of our Happy Unilocaling People of Denver!
