Would give 0 stars if possible. Rude and discrimitory against those with basic food allergies. Wouldn’t even take their order

HALF A STARIF I COULD!!! Horrible customer service!!! I placed an order for phở, I do not like the rare steak so i ADDED an extra 1.95TWICE just to be polite, and only asked to SWAP out the rare steak for tendon and add extra basil and jalapeño, MIND you I just paid EXTRA4.00PER Order. when I called the restaurant he told me he WASNOT going to modify my order and basil is 7 $ a pound and began screaming and acting so ignorant I had to call grubhub and make them refund me… HORRIBLE experience I have given them my business MANYMANY times and I will make sure our company no longer orders from them… STAYFARFARAWAY!!! This place used to be our favorite Asian delivery spot; the last order we placed through took an hour and 30 minutes and the food was soggy and cold as if it had been sitting for awhile, and the one before also well over an hour. The service and quality sadly has degraded. I contacted beyondmenu to let them know and beyondmenu’s response was«we contacted the restaurant and they were closed.» I followed up again explaining I didn’t expect a full refund but suggested a coupon for a future purchase and I have not received a response. I wouldn’t recommend green island’s delivery service or beyondmenu if you want food in the time they promised you.

I love their food, but their delivery is AWFUL. We have been ordering from here for years and they used to be so fast but lately they have been very slow. We decided to give them another try today and we are now going on over an hour and a half still no food! We won’t be ordering again.

I’ve ordered here a dozen times in the last 6 months and it’s never disappointed! Tonight I felt the need to write a review because there was 3 of us this time with. Well annoying and complicated orders! We all know the drill.“no this, no that, substitute this, omit that” — but they got it perfect! And the calamari, veg spring rolls, and shrimp green curry are PRIME! *takes another bite

Have ordered the pad thai here before(our go-to) and it is always good, but last night I tried the phở for the first time. Now, I know it is hard to mess up phở but this was really delicious. Leftovers heated well and tasted great for lunch today as well! Best part was that it isn’t too salty. If you are a sriracha lover ask for extra if you don’t have your own at home– they don’t bring too much with it. Will order phở from here for now on when I want it delivered! Their seaweed salad is the seaweed on top of lettuce(which I am not a fan of– i just like straight seaweed and dressing, not a bunch of undressed iceberg mix underneath it– so be warned if you are the same as me in that respect! Have coupons on grubhub so we grabbed crab cheese wantons which were still warm and delicious by the time they arrived.

Ordered through GrubHub, and my food was here within the allotted 45 – 60 minute estimate. It was also VERY hot. All of it, freshly made — which was a pleasant surprise, considering this place is on the other side of downtown from me, and the DP Dough a block away delivers stuff ice cold. But, I digress. I ordered the lunch Pad Thai, lunch Sesame Chicken and an order of salt and pepper calamari. The portions were plentiful and each lunch special came with soup and either a spring roll or cream cheese wonton for around $ 7. The spring roll was tasty and crunchy and not over fried and the wonton was decent enough. The hot and sour soup is quite good, but not spicy at all, which was a bit of a let down. The pad Thai is really, really good. I’m picky as hell about that dish, and this lacked of the dumbed down Americanization of said dish(see: the ketchup drenched noodles at Pei Wei). Lots of crushed peanuts, too! The sesame chicken was… eh. The breaded chicken had a great crisp to it, amazing despite the time it spent in a Styrofoam container. I didn’t care for the sauce, though. Quite a bit too sweet and with a slightly burnt taste to it. Not a fan. The worst, though, sadly, was the calamari. The salt and pepper seasoning was fantastic, and I was pleased to also find the pieces hot and crunchy, but the calamari inside was cooked way, way, way too long. Like, it had gone full hard and solid(that’s what she said) and I had to spit it out(also what she said). Even though it was just an okay experience, it was rather inexpensive, and I would definitely order the pad Thai again.

So I dropped my car off to Midas(6th and Kalamath) and thought I’d give Green Island a visit. It appears to be family run, as you see the youngest son walking around offering to refill your water glass. The overall appearance is simple, so if you are seeking a place to be overwhelmed by ornate details, this may not be the place for you. So I ordered the pineapple curry with chicken lunch special.($ 6.50 so a good deal) The older son of the family was very polite in getting my order and made sure it was exactly what I wanted. So the first thing that came my way for my lunch was the wonton soup. The broth was lovely, not too salty. This is the first time I see green onion and fried onion in a wonton soup. If anything, the wonton was delicious, the dough was a bit thicker than what I’m accustomed to with more wonton soup I’ve had, but delicious none the less. Next is this beautifully organized plate with pineapple curry and chicken, fried rice, and cream cheese wonton. I really enjoyed how fresh everything tasted and how they presented it in an uncommon way. As in curry and rice separated and you adjust the two how you like it. The cream cheese wontons were very very fresh!!! Overall, Green Island Asian Grill was very pleasant! It is easy to over look this place but maybe thats a good thing, it will keep the ones that know how good it is here some room for frequent visits when they are having the craving for asian food. :)

Terrible service. We ordered through the grub hub app. The initial quote was 45 minutes then an hour. When I called to see where it was when it was half hour after the quoted time, I was told«The drivers new he’s probably lost». They didn’t try to make it up to us or even call the lost driver to see where he was. Called again to cancel and they did it without hesitation or even surprise. Leads me to believe they do this a lot. Do not order from here, you will not get your food. Update! I got a call from Grub Hub after posting my review. The people from Green Island called Grub Hub and told them they never made our food because of a fax problem. I advised Grub Hub to stop doing business with them because they are lying their ass off.

This restaurant as of 2014 would be my most favorite asian fusion restrauant. So far from my many restrauant experiences there food tastes traditional. One evening walking around the neighborhood looking for a house(moving from a diffferent state) I was hungry and I notice this restrauant. I went in got good serivce from the waitress and got seated quickly. I have order two phở, one for me and my we recieved our food fast. The phở came with a variety of fresh vegetables. The phở was steaming of delight it came with fresh brooth. Later on we order seasame chicken and koreanshort rib and we went home drooling from the wonderful smell. So overall the service was wonderful as well as the food. The food was like heaven.

Ordered through grub hub. Delivery time was way quicker than what I was told after placing the order. Food was ok, but kind of flavorless. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great. Not sure if I will be ordering again. Definitely a last resort option.

This is for delivery service, and what good service it turned out to be! I was browsing and found this place appealing for the wide array of food offered, phở, curry, Korean short ribs, bacon wrapped shrimp, oh man the variety just goes on. I opted for the panang curry with shrimp, the tofu satay(fried tofu drizzled with peanut sauce on a bed of cucumbers, lettuce, and mung bean sprouts), and the green salad. Not only was the arrival of my order timely, but the food actually exceeded my expectations. The curry was huge, and full of shrimp, zucchini, red onion, carrot, water chestnuts, and a delicious broth. I ordered mine medium and it came mild, so if you like it spicy I would really emphasize that when ordering. The salad was nice and light with an interesting dressing and the fried rice that accompanied the curry was good. My only complaint, the fried tofu came with the sauce already on it, rendering them a soggy mess-I should have known and asked for it on the side, I know for next time! *very easy to order online through their website, and very easy to customize order if you order through either grubhub or the restaurants website. *$ 15 minimum for a delivery order
