Usually a go to for fresh and light fast food… NOTTHISTIME. First they had a new hummus they were pushing that was a weird green baby food color and was labeled Jalapeño and left a horrible aftertaste, wasn’t spicy, and tasted maybe more like cilantro. As the hummus was being slopped on the plate the girl behind the counter was YELLING at the dudes behind me that she’s QUITTINGASAP and doesn’t like working there… AWESOME! Then she proceeded to roll her eyes at the customer in front of me(an older gentleman) when he didn’t hear what she said. There was no line, yet I was rushed through like there was a fire. I mean, I appreciate efficiency, but I had flashbacks to my middle school cafeteria lunch ladies AHHH! The mushrooms were wet and flavorless, the lettuces was brown, the tomato cucumber salad and cabbage had TURNED rotten eeew, and they FORGOT my pita(the only thing that could have save such an excuse for food). I had to throw the whole $ 8 dollar meal away(the falafel my boyfriend might eat so I saved a few for him for later). Hope my food wasn’t spit in by disgruntled employees some of whom look like deer in headlights without a manager or supervisor in site. Ugh sometimes it pains me to write a negative review(i just don’t want someone to waste their money on lunch) so let me mention this, there was one Saving Grace… The younger guy working the register was really nice and patient. GIVETHATKID A RAISE! He deserves it. If I didn’t have to work I’d be headed back there meal in hand. Let me know when the food is fresh and the staff is happy and I’m all about second chances.

This restaurant is one of my office’s go-to picks for any event catering needed. Their customer service is great. The food portions for catering are pretty large(in my opinion), especially the box lunches. The rice, chicken stuffed pita and falafel are my favorites.

Best fries I’ve ever had in my life! The rest of the foods(rice, falafel) were good, too! Cheap, too!

I love Garbanzo’s and have been to almost all of the locations in Denver. This one is hands down the best. Super fresh everything, the staff is awesome, the lobby is clean. I am so happy with my lunch right now! Thanks guys!

We were disappointed with this restaurant. We had eaten at another Garbanzos and enjoyed it. This one, the falafel was dry and hard. The gyro meat was dry, & had very little flavor. The pita bread was brown on one side and slightly raw on the other. They were very skimpy on the Tzatziki sauce. The rice on the other hand was very good.

I was just walking around downtown looking for a place to eat and stumbled upon this place. I got the Gyro plate with all the«fixins» and it was awesome. Fresh veggies, great taste and a good price. The red chili sauce was nice and spicy. I will definitely come back next time I am in Denver. Yum!

My girlfriend and I go to garbanzo all the time but this one was especially good! Food was fresh and delicious, clean facility, and super friendly staff! My favorite thing to get is the plate and I just load it up with everything, definitely get the red chile if you like spicy and cilantro for a really fresh taste!

In general I would consider myself a fan of both Garbanzo and this particular store. The staff is nice and the food is excellent, and the proportions are usually quite ample. We have had great service by Jermaine, Ezekiel and many others. I try to come here every week for lunch with my girlfriend, we think of it as a nice escape away from work to try and get some fast food that isn’t too bad for you. However, today when I came for my typical lunch, I was given extremely small portions by an individual name«Joshua» who almost seemed to be a manager. He seemed short with me, almost rolled his eyes when I asked for more hummus, and gave me less food than I normally get by a long shot. I actually felt kinda ripped off. I had stopped eating at Garbanzo before because of similar treatment at a different store, and I may find myself not returning in the future if I continue to be skimped as I was today. Will keep readers posted…

Delicious food, classic Mediterranean food: gyro, hummus, tabouleh, tahini, baba ganoush, gyro other meats plus all the trimmings. Choose pita, flat bread, lettuce or rice as the base for a «Qdoba style» build your own meal. Reasonably priced sub-$ 10 entrees. Clean shop.

They close early! Stopped in at 8:46pm for takeout and they refused to serve me tonight. Supposedly open till 9. Seems like management needs to train their employees 9 means 9!

My favorite go to lunch spot. Always consistently delicious and the customer service is always spot on. Very friendly staff. I love that they always give me a free falafel ball when I’m waiting in line!

I’m still sitting in the booth at Garbanzo, and two sentences just left my mouth: «I am so full.» «I am so pleased with this decision.» I got dinner for two with one drink for about $ 15. We each got falafel plates with babaganoush, vegetable salad, lettuce, tabouli, red cabbage, hummus, and rice, with feta cheese and sauce. All of that, each, for $ 15. The food was delicious, flavorful, and filling. AND they have the Pepsi version of those fancy Coke machines that let you inject favors, which I have been wanting for forever(Diet Pepsi Twist, I miss you!). Another sentence: «I would come here way too much [if I lived near one].»

Great food. A bit more than I would have liked to pay and the falafel was mediocre. The gyro was delicious though.

This location of Garbanzo just does not work for me. I’ve been in multiple times and I have yet to feel good about it. There seems to be something amiss each time. The last time, it was as if the falafel was just«off», meaning it tasted like it was partially rotten or about to go bad. It was inconsistent, or I would have simply taken the plate up and complained. But it was every fourth bite or so that I felt was less than fresh. I can see how it could be a difficult to keep the varieties of foods that make up the menu fresh, but the appeal of the concept is fresh foods, so somehow this needs to be addressed. The cucumber vegetable salad was soggy and seemed like it was about to turn. This salad should be crisp and minimally dressed. The hummus is boring(read — lacks garlic) and too watery for my taste. I like this brand generally and have enjoyed the Highlands location many times over the course of a few years, but the 16th street mall location just doesn’t have the same quality standards. On the positive side, they have streamlined the menu which makes it easier to understand. The menu is more like the menu style at Chipotle; a step by step process. I’m not sure why this newer location struggles with consistent food quality, but I’m going to have to go elsewhere until I hear from others that there have been changes.

Amazingly good for how much healthier it is than other chain restaurants! Super friendly staff at this location, and the service was quick. Garbanzo is a chain, and feels exactly like a mediterranean version of Chipotle. They don’t allow any trans fat in their food, and everything here tastes fresh and real. Combine that with their friendly service, and I’ll definitely be back again! My only recommendation to this place is to put a tip jar near the register for people that want to show a little gratitude to the staff when they do a great job.

We love Garbanzo and now that it’s close by I am so happy! This is a great fresh food addition to options on the mall. We brought our family here and everyone tried something different. Thanks Garbanzo for bringing goodness to downtown.

Everyone’s(especially my) prayers have been answered: Garbanzo FINALLY opened a location Downtown! To keep this short, this location is just like the many others — they have a wide menu with plates, pitas, and now Gyros — but what makes this place stand out is how delicious and fresh everything is: put it this way, it’s probably the best tasting experience with them. This might have something to do with location as there are(and will be) so many people going through that nothing sits around to get weird. Anyway, just a quick shout out as I was super excited to see this and am so happy to finally have them close by. Look out LoDo, there is a new(lunch) sheriff in town and it’s name is Garbanzo.
