I love this place. It’s got a very industrial open floor plan, a lot of great beers on draft(including Dennis’s own Devils Purse), and the burgers are delicious(big fan of the turkey BLAT). My husband loves the fish tacos. I’ve heard the Buddha bowl is disappointing, but the nachos are loaded. Service has varied. The bartenders are fantastic, and most of the servers. We had an instance where our server disappeared, for a long time. We had to ask the hostess, and she went searching to find her, but eventually the manager came and got our drinks(that we had been waiting almost 20 minutes for). But that was the only time. Mostly, we choose to sit at the bar.

Awesome food! My fish sandwich and sweet potato fries were so good, and the beer selection is great! Always have a great meal when I go to the nun. The waitresses are hit or miss with their service, on their cell phones too much, but I get excellent service at the bar!

$ 19 for salmon dinner special sounds reasonable, right? Yes, unless it’s a piece of salmon served on the side order of Cesare salad with croutons that come from a Salad in The Bag kit. Overpriced boring salad with too much dressing and cheap croutons, overcooked over blackened piece of salmon. My husband and my son had burgers, stick with those, they were good. Cool place, pleasant service, convenient location.

We were craving burgers; me, a turkey burger, my darling wanted some meat. Red Nun delivered. We cozied up to the crowded bar and ordered custom made burgers. My man had the sublime truffle fries. The wine pour is huge. I am off booze, training, but when I go back, phew… wine time. My man had some great Devil’s Purse craft beer and a Kona Porter. This place does it right. It was packed to the gills by the time we left at 8:00PM. The bartenders tonight were amazing.

Red Nun Bar & Grill was exactly what we needed, when we needed it during a vacation in Dennis. We have a toddler so a noisier place can be a good thing and surprisingly they had some nice healthy options for being a sports bar atmosphere. The service was a little funky in the beginning, first we were told there was a 45-minute wait, and then when we said we would pass they told us it would be less. Ultimately we were seated in about 5 minutes. I think they were training new staff. Since we quickly got a seat I can hardly hold a grudge. I got the kale salad, which is HUGE, and so delicious. In fact, I wanted to return the next day for another. The sweet potato fries were awesome. And I can’t remember what my husband got, but I know that he liked it. They had a very decent kids menu and lots of things on the regular menu that kids would enjoy. Highly recommend for a casual family night out.

We’ve eaten at the Chatham location numerous times, but this was our first stop at the new location. Good beer selection and specials menu. Bar staff very friendly as was the hostess. Our waitress seemed a bit harried as they seemed understaffed. Food was good. I had a simple burger, my wife had the mussels, my daughters had the clam chowder and wings. We’d go back, but we prefer the Chatham location — just has more charm.

The band was great! Music a few nights a week. Nice addition to the center of Dennis Port. Good offering of New England craft brews. Enough screens to keep up with the games.

Very spacious and called ahead and got immediately seated. Didn’t seem like much of a wait our burgers were cooked exactly as requested and tummy sweet potato fries. Waitress was friendly and attentive. If you are in the mood for a great local and smooth beer, order the cape cod blonde! Not sure how long this establishment has been in Dennis but look forward to returning next summer! Live music most each night per the blackboard.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the service at Red Nun in Dennis. The waitress was not very attentive and welcoming — hostesses could have been more welcoming as well. It took forever to get a wine list and she didn’t return with my glass of wine for a good 10 – 15 min. The Ahi Tuna Taco special was good — but not great, I wish I got something else. The clam chowder was also kind of cool when it came out. Not a huge fan of the ambiance either, but may try the location in Chatham at some point…

Nice 1st impression. Really liked the ambiance. Very good service. Enjoyed the buffalo chicken salad. Wide variety of beer selection. Looks like a fun place to watch a game on the big screens. Would definitely come back.

Burger sind lecker. Fleisch kann noch Salz und Pfeffer vertragen, ist aber Geschmacksache.

Went here on a Friday night mid September. Shoulder season here so many of the dining options have shut down. Place was packed and had a cool vibe. Young & old, tourist & local. Hostess was very friendly and told us it was a 20 minutes wait. Was more like 30 minutes, but she was very apologetic. Our waitress Annie was very attentive and put our tweeners in a better mood(they were really hungry and bored). Drinks and apps came out very quickly. Wedge salad was solid, onion rings were a disappointment, but fine. We didn’t order the nachos, but the table next to us did and they looked outrageous — huge mound of chips, cheese and other toppings. It looked delish and could have been a meal for 4. Burgers, clams and fish and chips were the entrees. Western burger was very good, Fire and Ice was good but not spicy enough. Burgers cooked perfect. Only complaint is they are plump so biting can be a challenge for the mandible impaired. Clams were solid as were the fish and chips. A special shout out to the sweet potato fries — cooked nice and crisp — so often they can be soggy — but not here. Chocolate bomb cake was ordered«to go». Cooled off by the time we got home but was still and was a nice treat to cap the evening. A two piece country acoustic band was playing in the front. The crowd wasn’t there to see them, but they were really good and added a nice ambiance to the evening. Only regret is we didn’t order one of the specials. We considered the mussels, but it didn’t come with bread — which is a deal killer. After all if you can’t mop the sauce — what’s the point? Some other reviewers complain about the sound level and no place to stand. Not sure if they are new, but there are two 10′+ rows of bar height butcher block tables in the rear to stand. We were seated in the back and noise was not an issue. I can see where noise could be an issue up front. We look forward to going back.
