Great place for breakfast. Crab Benny this morning was great, very tasty. Ate at the bar and watched the kitchen show an added plus. Yesterday the Portuguese Omelet another winner, My wife enjoyed the Parfait and waffles the next day. It gets crowded but be patient they turn over the tables quickly. Good eats– reasonably priced.

When my brother, his wife, and three little girls came all the way from Chicago to visit me and mine we headed for the cape. On a budget, we only at a few meals out. Wee pocket was perfect for us. The menu was simple and straightforward. The food was good. Service was solid as well. They helped us out in getting a table big enough for all 8 of us, and were excellent with the kids. All this on a Sunday night. The food, like I said, was good but not great. It didn’t need to be great. It needed to be quality seafood at a reasonable price in a place that was fun for my family. It was all that in spades. We’ll be back. Oh. Pass on the crab cakes IMHO.

This is a place I came to a lot in my childhood. Family lore is that the founder of the restaurant had been in scouts with my uncle so we seemed to come here more frequently than other places when we were visiting my grandparents. I have to admit thst I was a bit more than disappointed when I found out we couldn’t get Cape bay scallops, but I regrouped and went for a cup of chowder and an order of clam strips(both off of the appetizer menu). My husband had chowder and seafood combo(one crab cake and one stuffed quahog), also off the appetizer menu. Keep in mind that this place had to live up to a utopian memory of childhood vacations, and it held its own. Yes, things have changed, but it was still good. The chowder met my chowder snob expectations of New England clam chowder for taste and texture. The clam strips were a little over breaded for my liking, but they were still good. My husband really enjoyed his first quahog experience a well as the Maine crab cake. He gave me a taste, and I have to say I have been spoiled by Pacific Dungeness crab and the filler seemed to overpower the crab. While my grandparents are no longer in the equation, I’m glad we stopped here to kick off this year’s visit.

Searching for a place to eat on the off season and this was the only place open and serving food! We struck out a couple times with ordering things they were out of(stuff for a mojito and oysters) but immediately the owner came out and apologized and offered us different suggestions for what we were looking for. When we ordered swordfish and the waitress misheard and brought the wrong meal, she immediately took it back. We then found out they were out of swordfish and the owner came out again and he was so kind and generous. He offered anything we could think of and went promptly back to cook it and it came out quickly and tasted good! Plus he took it off the bill. All the food was good and service was good but a owner that truly cares about his customers is what will bring us back! P. s. Thick creamy chowder was so good!

Not much to say about this place honestly. It serves an adequate breakfast at Cape prices with French portions(just kidding, but the portions are a little small side). I had the corn beef hash with two eggs, home fries, and toast. Eggs and toast are eggs and toast, and the home fries were of average quality. The corn beef hash were the highlight, for sure. Cooked with onions and peppers and quite tasty, the only regret I had about this option was that there wasn’t more of it. If you have a traditional diner breakfast craving and you’re in the area, this place won’t steer you wrong, but be sure to keep your expectations low.

I can’t say many good things about this place. It looks like it once was a great place. Overpriced, but I expect that from this area. They have a sign out front advertising the many ways they serve lobster, and their raw bar. Well, lobster is definitely not the main event on their menu. In fact, I’m not really sure what their main event is. There are so many seafood items on menu… mostly fried. I guess maybe my expectations were too high. The waitstaff is mostly foreign, which is totally fine, however they have such deadpan interpersonal skills that it makes communicating quite difficult. They can’t grasp the concept of substitution of anything on the menu… or do they understand what a side salad is. I also got a glimpse thru the kitchen window of a plastic bin of clams… is this how they come fresh? Even if it is, I personally don’t wanna see it if I’m paying out the nose. We won’t be back.

My family used to frequent this place when I was a kid in the 90s. Sure things have changed, but it doesn’t feel like things have changed as dramatically as some other reviews are claiming. It still seems like a decent, casual place to grab a bite to eat. The lobster BLT is pretty great. Decent crab cake salad. And good lobster salad. Their semi-enclosed back patio area seats maybe 20 – 25. It’s pet-friendly, quiet, and shady. Our server was attentive to us and our dog. If you have a dog, just check-in with the host/ess at the main entrance and then go grab a table out back.

This place has been on Cape Cod since 1949 and it still is just as popular and amazing. Have breakfast, anything you order is spectacular! I love omelets, so to me they are my favorite. The pancakes with a fruit such as fresh cranberries or blueberries are out of this world and waffles of every kind of toppings that you may like are also there. The staff is top notch and the owner is extremely friendly and says good morning to all! They also have outside tableswith umbrellas and a back deck which is lots of fun and or even at night with candles on the tables. The atmosphere is adorable and the money will be very well spent as you yourself will see after you eat even one time at the wee packet.

Best breakfast in the Cape! You really can’t go wrong. We go to dennisport for a week every year and eat here for breakfast multiple times. We give two thumbs up to the irish breakfast, crabby Benny, lobster Benny, lobster omelet, Belgian waffles, the pancakes! It is all so good. You really truly cannot go wrong.

LUNCH Food is expensive and subpar. Sodas are $ 2 a cup and not refillable. Soda tasted watered down. Waiter did his job but was aloof. Waiter asked what I would like from the bar I said a tequila sunrise. He said«oh we don’t make those drinks here.» Then why did he ask? Also the sign out front says full bar.

I’ve been going to the Weepecket since it was owned by Bob Briggs. I didn’t think you could get better but it actually has gotten better. The breakfast is really really good omelettes pancakes Belgian waffles all really really good. I went there for dinner several times and each time it’s been better than the previous. Tonight I got the crabcake with salad with goat cheese and it was delicious. I’m not an English major so the words I chose aren’t the best but if you’re looking for a good place to eat the wee packet is great.

Went this morning and sat at the counter while waiting for an outgoing order. The servers all touch the food with their hands, moving the bacon out of the way, toast, etc. then they collect money and go back to serving and touching the food. They should at the vert least wear gloves or use utensils to do the food prep. A bit nasty if you ask me. They never washed their hands. If that doesn’t gross you out by all means give them a try.

Okay, so as tempting as it is to review this restaurant and hold it against the standards of the original owner(the late Bob Briggs), I will not succumb to that temptation. This place has seen a lot of ups and downs since I first went there as a little tyke in the ‘60s. A lot. I stopped going there maybe 10 years ago when they started charging $ 7 for a grilled cheese. But the one thing you could count on was Bob’s old school, award-winning clam chowder. It was thin, briny, full of quahogs, and almost«blue» due to the volume of quahog liquor. Each mouthful was like a 6′ roller of fresh clean surf in your mouth. That’s what chowder used to be before the tourist appetite for gloppy, flour-loaded, 99% clam-free library paste became the norm. Well, I can say that I did NOT expect the original recipe. In fact, I wanted to see what I’ve been missing all these years, with an open mind. So, this afternoon, I stopped in for a late lunch with my honey, and for a couple dimes and pennies shy of $ 12 we were served two cups of the worst, pink-hued, salty glop I have ever seen pass as chowder. I’m talking *more* than the 800mg of salt you experience with a typical bowl of ramen noodles. This was: Off. The. Salinity. Chart. After bolting down a glass of water, we asked for the check, paid, and went home to shave our tongues.

Great service, very comfortable & plesant atmosphere. Coffee was refilled repeatedly, which is a change from most breakfast places who just want you to eat and get out so they can fill the table. Plenty of choices, great prices. Will be back for sure.

I have gone to the Wee Packet since it was owned by the Briggs family and I was a child — that goes back to the late 50’s…it was one of my parents favorite places. With that said now that I am visiting the Cape pretty regularly again I had to visit there(along with 2 other favorites which I have reviewed). The first visit about 6 years ago was almost a total bust. We had lobster in various dishes and it tasted like bleach… I think that it was borderline bad and they were trying to keep from tossing it. The management was nice enough when we complained and gave us other meals and did not charge us for any of the substitutions, so all things considered we thought things happen. Since that time I have been there at least 3 other times and all was fine. Love their clam chowder. It is a typical Cape Cod fish joint, with the nautical décor and all. That is what I love about the Cape, and the new management has kept it pretty much as it was so many years ago. When I eat there I toast my parents who visited there form 1949 until the late 70’s before they moved to NC from NJ. It is comforting to see such an institution still there and still serving good food.

Strange experience. Not horrible service, but not the most attentive. Server seemed rushed, sat us, walked away and didn’t make it clear whether he was a host, bussed or our server. We ordered bloody Mary’s right away and when he came back we were so excited to indulge! Yuck! Worst bloody Mary’s I have ever had! Bland, watered down. Ew. Anyway, my boyfriend was SO pumped when he saw crab cake eggs Benedict. They were out. We were sad. We decided to go for the lobster eggs Benedict. Huge pieces if lobster! Not very hot though, and kind of tough. Very mediocre quality for the $ 55 we ended up spending with tip. Nice spot to sit outside, though.
