Great Breakfast Sandwich ! Easy in and out of freeway. Quick stop in our way from Tahoe to Bay Area, fresh fruit smoothies were very good too.

Free wifi and a nice study environment? Sounds too good to be true in a college town like Davis. A year ago, my friend told me this was a place a lot of graduate students and professors frequent — she recommended it because it’s much quieter and chill than most of the study spots on campus and downtown! She was totally right — I’ve been coming here ever since my first visit and I love it! They play super soothing music and the customer service always brightens my day! Oh, and the food and coffee are delicious! FOOD: I usually get their their breakfast and lunch paninis — decently priced and portioned and they taste great! You can get them with your choice of a side of potato salad or carrots. Then I get a coffee with my panini. The lattes and mochas are really balanced and delicious! Since I’m not a huge fan of drinks that are overly sweet I’ll warn you that they do put a lot of chocolate in their drinks, it tastes more rich than sweet! My favorite here is the Zebra White Mocha — I think that’s what it’s called! SERVICE: The customer service is excellent — they always ask me about my day and sometimes they’ll upgrade my drink to the next size, free of charge. AMBIANCE: Not much to be said, it’s a fairly spacious coffee shop with multiple wooden tables and it’s always nice and warm inside! The menu items are written in chalk to the right of the cash register and they have seasonal coffee specials you should definitely try! There aren’t too many outlets here, that’s my only gripe — so make sure your laptop is charged before you come! Besides that, this is my favorite coffee shop in Davis! Perfect for studying and for chatting with friends on the outside patio!

This is by far my fav coffee shop in Davis. It’s very cozy and comfortable and the coffee/lattes are great. They also have amazing breakfast and lunch options. Highly recommend this place. Also, they play amazing music, like John Mayer, Coldplay, etc. The couple that runs the place are very nice and the staff is always so sweet. Love it. The only thing I wish they had was a spot for couches and comfier seating.

We got the villager panini which is basically a ham sandwich on focaccia bread and a drip coffee. The sandwich was good comfort food, simple and filling, and it came with just a little bit of potato salad. Drip coffee, in my opinion, was too weak. We would come back if we were in the area but definitely wouldn’t go out of the way to come here.

Had the ham and egg breakfast panini on focaccia. It is, by far, the best breakfast I have had since being in Davis over the past 5 weeks. And it was inexpensive compared to other restaurants. I was expecting a half sandwich for what I paid, but received a full sandwich. The mocha I ordered was very good. Good chocolate and coffee. Nicely balanced. Also, the person who took my order was exceptionally bubbly and sweet. Another big plus. I’ve got another week here. I’ll be back.

This is my favorite café study spot in Davis. Mischka’s gets all the hype, but this place is so underrated. The coffee drinks are better, and the food selection is better because it also includes delicious paninis and salads. They also have delicious juices and smoothies. They play awesome music and the staff are so friendly. I highly recommend getting the fresh mozarella panini. Also gotta love how they serve coffee in ceramic mugs with cool designs.

Their hazelnut lattes are probably the best I’ve had, ask for it extra hot. Cool little place, pretty good food.

The hazelnut latte and iced mocha is so good, you’ll be coming back for more. The hazelnut latte is slightly on the sweeter end, but it’s definitely nutty and creamy. The mocha was flavorful with an overpowering chocolate taste. Tried one of their«special of the day» panini and it came up short for me. I paid $ 8 for them to grill two slices of bread with cheese, eggplant, and pesto sauce. On the board it was written roast beef in there as well, but it wasn’t in the panini. Turns out the sign was incorrect. I love paninis, with or without meat, and I thought it was just fine. Pros: Good coffee Lots of tables Outlets Food WiFi Quiet study space Cons: Price Limited WiFi to only 2 hours Limited parking to only 2 hours in the surrounding area Small tables

I love this cozy little café! Definitely try the Cloud Forest Panini! It’s so tasty. I’ve been there a couple times, but I get it every time. And the smoothies are pretty nice as well, especially the peach! Pretty good study space. Free wifi and power outlets are great. Nice ambiance. And plentiful indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is as good as parking downtown gets. Likely limited on Wednesdays and Saturdays when the Farmer’s Market is in session, but otherwise not bad.

I ordered some coffee and came here to do some work. The coffee was great! They have lots of tables around the café so you have space to get your work done. There’s a lot of outlets aligned against the wall so that you can keep your devices charged. The wifi here was pretty fast. I don’t remember the exact numbers, but It was at least 17 mbps when I did a speed test for downloading. There is also some outdoor seating in front of the café if you would prefer getting some sunlight. My favorite part about the café was its employees. The girl who took my order was so pleasant and the owners were extremely nice. I would come here again all the time just based on my interaction with the people here.

Rudest café management I have seen: The sign with the Internet access code says you can stay here for only 2 hours during busy times, and it literally adds that«grace period is 15 minutes.» This is the first I have seen in Davis. And then there was a lady customer sitting at the table next to me. About 5 – 10 minutes later after she came in, the owner came up to her and said«excuse me, what can I order for you?»(Usually people order up front at the counter and the owner doesn’t usually have to approach customers for orders.) So the owner was implying that she can’t sit here without buying food. The lady said she was waiting for her friend. The whole thing gave me a cold vibe. I ordered the cloud forest(house) panini, it was descent, except it did NOT have the avocado as the menu said it would. I am not coming back here again.

The owner is incredibly rude! He will stare you down if you don’t immediately order and have the nerve to tell you that you are taking up a table. Um the place is half empty you moron. Way to treat customers.

Three words: hazelnut soy latte. Also free wi-fi. Also power outlets. Also healthy salads and paninis. So much win for this place.

Food: So delicious! Everything is so fresh and they use local vendors for almost(if not) everything. The paninis and salads are all amazing and the servings are a generous size(especially the salads.) Juices: The juices are a little expensive, but they’re 100% fruit and vegetable juice, juiced on the spot when you order! So they’re totally worth the cost. Try to check out the little sign with seasonal juices, the Pink Lady(OJ, Pineapple, Beet, Lime) is up right now(Fall) and it’s so good! And I also recommend The Three Amigos(Carrot, Apple, Orange). Service: Really good. Always prompt and friendly! Atmosphere: They always have really good music playing and it’s always at a nice volume. It’s quiet enough to chat or study without feeling disturbed, but loud enough that you can listen and enjoy it. They have free WiFi but they request that you limit your stay to 2 hours when they’re really busy, but I’ve never felt the need to limit my time here because there’s always tables open when I’ve been(even during lunch hours.) Overall: I don’t have a bad word to say about the place other than that its a little expensive, but they support local vendors and everything is really fresh and delicious. Overall, definitely worth the price. Its a great place to hang out with friends or come to study.

Good lattes and great place to chat with friends during the day! There’s an extra charge of 35 cents if you use a card for purchases under $ 10 so remember to bring cash if you’re just getting a drink

This 5 star rating is only for the coffee. I’ve tried their paninis, baked goodies, and smoothies. Those are fine, but the coffee never fails me!

One of the few places I haven’t tried until now for my 4 years of college. The café interior is very farm to table looking. I saw a few students studying there and since it’s the summer it’s very quiet. They have a wide variety of lattes, I decided to try the hazelnut where the coffee flavor was more pronounced than the actual hazelnut itself. Their panini sandwiches are more on the pricey side ranging between 7 to 8 dollars each sandwich. The sandwiches were filling though. My boyfriend and I got two sandwiches, the Castro creek and the turkey panini.(I don’t remember their exact names) the bread was very toasty but the turkey pesto panini was very heavy, it needed something more acidic like a few slices of Granny Smith apples to cut the avocado and pesto sauce. The Castro creek was a roast beef sandwich and it needed a little more flavor to it. All in all the place get 3 stars for food and coffee. It was ok, but nothing stood out there. The atmosphere is cute and unique so I would recommend Davis students to check it out, but it’s not worth a drive to go there.

Just had the coffee here but it was good. Nice spot to relax and/or work. Generally a 2 hour limit when busy but I’m sure they’d make exceptions if you continue to buy food from them.

I love mom and pop coffee shops, especially when they sell delicious, delicious paninis and salads like Cloud Forest does. I’m a bigger fan of their food than i am their coffee, which is better than Peets, but not as good as Mishka’s. It’s not expensive considering the portion size(which is substantial, but not gargantuan) and the free-ness of their Internet. Granted, they do request that, at peak business hours, you don’t stay at a table for more than 2 hours… but I’ve never seen it so busy that I wasn’t able to spend a whole afternoon reading or writing there. They have indoor and outdoor seating: the little patio area put front is both ckmdortable and picturesque. The seating inside is a little awkward and the chairs not particularly pleasant to sit on for very long periods, and I’m never as close to an outlet as I would like. Overall, I’d rank this among the top three coffee places in downtown Davis. Not my favorite, but definitely one I’d go to regularly.

Ordered a sandwich«to go» the girl made damn sure to make mine last. I waited 30 mins for a lousy sandwich. I was never rude either. Gotta love miserable rude hateful people who dislike their job and others. Never coming back. I told the owner good thing I wasn’t in a hurry.
