I went in to Etu Bistro with my family, and it was fantastic. I loved the brunch! The cheese and potato soup was delicious, and the crab cake was to die for. The wait staff was very polite and attentive. The mimosas were great — an overall great experience. Can’t wait to come back and try their dinner menu

My husband and I came here for Valentine’s Day(2015), and we absolutely loved this place! The food was absolutely delicious, and our server was completely wonderful. The atmosphere was lively and laidback, and we are looking forward to our next visit! Although the prices are higher than your local Applebee’s, the food and service you will receive is certainly worth it!

My husband took me here for my 30th birthday dinner and I HIGHLY recommend this little bistro. Everything from the appetizer to desserts were ONPOINT. The atmosphere was relaxing, our server«Alex» was so friendly, courteous and attentive, along with the hostesses and other wait staff. The entrees were cooked to perfection and so flavorful. The presentation was PERFECT. Past reviews complained about the price. Look people, if you want high quality food, service and overall dining, you will pay a little more, it’s reality. Yes, our bill was a little pricey but was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY. Et Tu Bistro is a fine dining facility so it’s perfect for a little romantic dining. We will definitely return on another child-free night!

Back to visit our family for a few days in the tiny town of Danville on the way to Philly, we had several dinners and lunch in this small urban Mediterranean bistro and the experience was so very pleasant. What a gem to find, but It is easy to miss. The town’s Main Street is only a few blocks long and from what we gather it is in the middle of upgrading. The atmosphere is what we have experienced in NYC or Philly. E Tu is in a long narrow building with large glass windows, creating natural lighting and a city feeling, The bar is high polished dark wood, custom made and fits in well with multiple cushioned high back bar stools, into the front of the building. We stopped in for drink one night and found the bartender so amusing that we stayed for the tapas and moved on to entrees. The large over hanging counter made it a very comfortable sitting arrangement. The lighting separates the space between the main dining room and the bar with beautiful real wood floors, that moves to slate in the back as you pass the open kitchen to the soon to open patio brings the outside in, making the whole restaurant’s flow movable and airy in a narrow building The food was simple fresh with great local ingredients, well executed.(There is a farm market right behind the bistro and Main Street, worth a visit on Saturday morning.) The wine list was excellent. Great geography with both New and Old world selections, super depth… wines from 2001 – 2014, and many high Quality/Price bottles. We had the CUNE Imperiale that our server suggested. Turns out, CUNE was the Wine Spectator of the year wine in 2013… not bad for a small restaurant !

Food to make your toes curl in happiness. Is it pricier than the pizza place? Yes. But here you get innovative food that changes with the season. Amazingly good. Perfect for a special dinner with friends or a significant friend.

It has been a little bit since we ate at this establishment, but when we did it was okay. Our server was great and asked about dietary restrictions and allergies up front. The special that night was a steak fillet, and that is what I ordered, gluten-free style(with potatoes instead of risotto or something like that. I asked for it medium – pink in the middle. When I got it, it was cooked brown all the way through. When I brought this to the attention of the server, he took it back and apologized profusely. They informed me that they were out of the fillet and that they would cook me the other type of steak on the menu. It wasn’t what I wanted, but I ordered it and ate it sort of begrudgingly. At the end of the service they were going to offer my partner dessert on the house(they had no gluten free options), but she does t usually get dessert if I can’t have some too. We declined and they gave us a $ 7 gift certificate for next time. $ 7? What a strange amount. And they couldn’t have applied it to our current bill that they had messed up? I was not very happy with the outcome and I cannot imagine wanting to go back to spend more money on a dish prepared improperly, a dish I don’t necessarily want instead, and to be comped something I cannot even eat. No thanks. There are other restaurants in the area that are as good/better with great service.

We had heard a rumor. …a rumor that said that although Etu was good, if not great, it was also extremely expensive. Let me put that to rest righ now… The lunch we had at Etu was in fact excellent, but it was fairly priced as well. Make no mistake, this bistro is high end fare but consider this, I took three people to lunch… had an appetizer and a dessert. .all for $ 60 including tip. We asked to see the dinner menu and there was nothing outrageous there either. Now to the best part… the food! The calamari we had as an appetizer was wonderful! Some of the best I’ve had. No dipping sauce needed. Three meals all excellent, I had the vegetable flatbread and loved every bite! We followed this by sharing a sinful chocolatey dessert(too full to get one of our own) AND all the other desserts we saw looked equally wonderful. Service was excellent! Friendly and knowledgeable, they really seemed to want to make your eating experience just that, an experience you would want to do again! Etu is a welcomed addition to Danville. Can’t wait to go again and take some friends.

Went for dinner last weekend and have to say that it was one of the most amazing meals I have ever had! The steak was cooked PERFECTLY, and was the best cut of meat! The chef has created a great menu, with something that will fit everyones palate! Definitely a must go to!

I’m looking forward to trying this place for dinner actually — and was thrilled to find such a nice place in otherwise snooze-ville Danville. I was there for lunch and had a really great soup followed by a grilled salmon salad. My only real issue was the couscous on the salad was a tad too al dente… as in it had been cooked hours ago, and was dry, cold and chewy. Real chewy. I was expecting warm and chewy, not cold and hard and well, a bit too textural. But, whatever. The place was solid, service was really great, and I’m excited to try them again. I hope I can catch them on a wine tasting dinner night!
