Do not get the meatball sandwich. I ordered it and the bartender told me it would be better… if you order extra sauce because it is dry. I got the extra sauce and she was right. AND… they put some spice in the meatball that it is overwhelming. I taste nothing but that strong spice. It’s not good. And the meatballs were overlooked and chewey. The beer is cold which is very good.

The owner is the biggest egotistical asshole I have ever met. No meal is worth giving this guy business!!!

With the caveat that this is more of a sports bar than a restaurant, there is seating on the patio, and the food and service were quite good. I’d definitely come back if I were in the area again.

Great place with a good view of Dana Point! Staff was friendly and service was great! This is my second time coming here for lunch and both times were great!

Took my wife out for our Valentine night out. Chose the Point as their menu caught our attention. We sat on the patio as it was a bit noisy inside. Ordered the LUMPIA — Homemade Filipino eggrolls. Ground pork, shrimp, carrots, soy, impressive. For our entrée we ordered the Indian fry bread Pastrami w/rings…monster sandwich to say the least… Fine meal at the Point, our first time and it won’t be our last!!!

First thing I noticed was the kid friendly little enclosed booth they have for the kidos with chalkboard wall and tv. Very nice touch if you plan to come with children. FOOD– MEH. For the price of Salmon, they gave me slightly larger than palm size of salmon. Taste was okay… but here’s my qualm. The ‘veggies’ that come with it were overly steamed shreds of cabbage and carrots. And under that a small portion of rice. I was really looking forward to the tastes coming together but it was slightly better than bland. And no lemon. My friend got the burger and it was huuuggeee! So, if you’re coming for portion and coming hungry, go for a burger for around $ 13-$ 15. His sweet potato fries werent great at all, and came cold. Skip those and go for regular fries IMO. SERVICE– our waitress was very nice and tended to us well. DECOR /CLEANLINESS– slightly above average. The view was nice.

If you have not been to The Point in Dana Point you are sleeping on one of South Orange County’s best hidden treasures. The view is amazing, the staff is remarkable, and the food is superb! As someone who has professionally critiqued service experiences around the country for almost 15 years I can confidently assert that this is one of THEBEST dining experiences I’ve ever had — casual, formal, or otherwise. Everyone at The Point is very friendly and down to earth. Not only do they have a GREAT breakfast and a really cool kids corner, but most importantly, because the ribs are soooooo fall-off-the-bone amazing, I don’t have to travel aaaaalllllll the way to St. Louis, Memphis, or TX for great bbq ribs EVERAGAIN! Each time I’ve dined here my quality of life enhanced exponentially. I get The Point. You definitely should too.

Me and my husband love this place! They have great food and even better staff. Food is always quick and always served with a smile. We come here to watch all the football games we can. Go Niners!

Sunday brunch is excellent. The ahi salad is amazing and the beer is nifty. Excellent service. The cozy firepit, flat screen, and couch outside make for a relaxing and inviting time. Already recommended to two friends since visiting last week. The point is on point.

Best place to watch football on Sunday’s! Great drink and food prices, friendly crowd and awesome service. I come to The Point every Sunday for football now with 10+ friends and have met so many new people there. I have been coming here for a couple years now and it’s awesome

I read a lot of reviews of The Point and decided to come here for some food and drinks on a Sunday(Football). Great atmosphere, plenty of open tables. If you have kids, they have a corner for them to eat, watch movies, and color. We got the sliders as an appetizer. Very good! The onion rings were good as well. Ketel One Bloody Mary was tasty, not too spicy. My girlfriend got the California Burger. The burger was well done(she asked for medium) and appeared to be cooked from frozen. The side garlic fries were just okay but bacon was very good. I got the pastrami sandwich and sweet potato fries. This sandwich is amazing! Pastrami, peppercinis, pickles, and bacon on flatbread with a nice sauce. Service was good and plenty of TV’s to see your favorite game.

The view and the food at this place was awesome. I had the California burger garlic fries can’t say enough about the fries my wife had wedge salad it came with blue cheese dressing red onion bacon bits she also had the French onion soup. Our server was pleasant and got out of order out to us in a timely manner everything was great. One of my pet peeves when I go to a restaurant is when is someone starts sweeping or cleaning around my table while I’m eating. Unfortunately today when we first walked in my wife noticed that the tables we’re still smudge from the night before we sat down and our table was never cleaned. During the middle of our meal one of the owners came by with a spray bottle that smelled like Windex and proceeded to spray the tables right next us. The smell of the spray waft over and now I was tasting Windex as I took a bite of my burger my wife look at me and relate that the same was happening with her. I understand that things need to be cleaned but when somebody sweeps or spray the chemical that you can smell while you’re eating really ruins the Diane experience. I really think better consideration should be taken when you have your guests at a table eating.

Cute little place. The Kona beer on tap was awesome. The clam chowder was so creamy and delicious. I would have liked to have eaten more of it before the entrée came out, but oh well. The fish and chips were well made. Batter was nice and light. Fish was flavorful and flaky. Service was friendly and attentive. Good place!

First time here. Drove by a while back, saw the band from the parking lot. Finally made it for Sunday Funday. Very friendly staff, good food, great HH deals, well made drinks. On this occasion we came for the Reggae tunes. We were disappointed in this band. It was not Reggae, it was«Cool Rythems» at best. They played Sting and Sublime. 1 Marley and no other real Reggae. We will come back for all the other great reasons. But we hope management won’t incorrectly advertise the band next time. PS real reggae would be a big hit with us!

It’s been awhile since I’ve had a dining experience I felt merited the time it takes to write a review. But the woman who helped us, I am assuming she is also the owner, was incredibly hospitable, so here goes. Came here with a friend after a doggie play date because it was the only open restaurant in Dana we found that said it was okay to bring our pups, the owner even brought out a water dish and some milk bones for her furry patrons after she greeted us. She actually never ceased to be completely accommodating and overall just really pleasant the interact with. The hickory burger with onion rings looked fresh and tasted great. The garlic fries were perhaps maybe slightly under salted but that spicy ketchup they serve by Beach Cities called Kickin Ketchup(probably the best ketchup I’ve ever tried) more than made up for it. Overall, good food, good drinks, and the absolutely stellar customer service makes this place entirely worthy of 5 star praise.

The customer service was decent. We watched a game and managed to see a local band play. They covered a 311 song which made my experience that much better. The seared ahí tuna was good and the pizza was good as well. Overall, it was a good experience.

Decent«bar» atmosphere with a view, but«don’t do it» for breakfast. So my wife and I have been here 3 times for breakfast. The first two times were not bad, bordering good but today’s breakfast was horrible. So why did we go back? Well, we picked up an Amzn Local 50% off coupon and the first two visits were not too bad. So both of us ordered omelettes. Their omelettes are«build your own» so you select from numerous options so the odds of getting an omelette you really like should be high, right? But this morning, both our omelettes were burnt. No excuse for this IMO. It’s like serving burnt toast. You can see it’s burnt, so why plate it. The potatoes were OK. A little to spicy for my taste, but I liked the tomatoes in them. The service was actually great today. Previously its been a little slow, but never horrible. Bummed to say we won’t be going back from breakfast. On the way out we were eyeing the lunch entries on people’s plates and they looked pretty good. Maybe it’s more of a lunch/dinner/bar place.

We went here(3 adults, 2 kids in tow) with relatively low expectations. I thought it would just be a casual, run-of-the-mill type place. I was pleasantly surprised. We sat on the patio(which has heat lamps, FYI). The waitress was SUPER friendly and attentive. And the food was really good! They have a wood fire pizza oven and I could definitely taste that fact in my pizza. I got the veggie one and it was gooooood. They have a great selection of beers(and their bar area inside looks fun – TVs included). The manager came by to check on us and he was super friendly. The waitress cleared our tables and my nephew started crying, saying he wasn’t done with his slider. We mentioned it to the manager and he grilled up another one in 5 minutes. Oh, the things we do for little crying children… I will definitely come back, sans children, to enjoy the bar area. It was great!

Okay, so I came here to have dinner and drinks with a friend. I read on quite a few reviews that the Bloody Mary’s here are noteworthy. So my friend and I ordered one each. Despite the fact that we’ve never had one before. Despite that fact that I didn’t even know what was in it. Despite the fact that my friend knew what was in it, namely tomato juice, and he doesn’t even like tomatoes. BIGMISTAKE.(And stupid of us both!) Neither of us liked it.(Could you guess that was going to happen?) I’m sure that they really are good if your taste buds swing that way! But neither of ours did… We told the waitress, «Sorry, could we order new drinks, it was out first time trying that and we both don’t like it…» She very kindly took them away and allowed us to order new drinks, and excluded the bloody marys from the bill! Super nice! Onion rings/fries are really good. The Seared Ahi is smaller than both us us would have liked. But! We didn’t have to finish our bloody mary’s so it was a good night!

I was here for a very short time so I’ll lead with that. Our waitress was very nice the food was unfortunately very subpar. We were there late but I’ve never had such bad spinach and artichoke dip and the tortilla chips were chewy and stale(which was probably because the kitchen was closing soon). Considering they were $ 11.95 it was kind of disappointing. We had a big group that took up quite a few tables and they were super fast with getting us everything. Unfortunately they apparently turn this place into a club around 10:30 or 11 so they clear out all the tables so we basically had to leave because there wasn’t anywhere else to sit other than outside on the patio(which was cold at that time of night). It seems like it might be a cool place to hangout if you lived in the area and just wanted to grab a few drinks. My first experience just wasn’t great. Also, if you can’t do stairs, there’s a parking lot in the back that you can get to by the street just past the shopping it’s in on the left.
