Post Cole’s Corner

Mostly positive experience living here. You get what you pay for… here, that is an old/​very old apartment complex in what I consider to be the ideal uptown Dallas location. Right off McKinney by the bars, but mostly quiet and private. Great access to Katy Trail, West Village, and a 5 minute Über to everything else.
Expect things to break in your apartment fairly regularly, but to their credit, the maintenance team responds quickly. If you see an apartment at the right price point for you in this complex, go for it. Just don’t be surprised when your clicker breaks 10+ times or when your AC Unit breaks 5 – 6 times (both literally happened over the course of my 12 month lease).
Also, and I almost forgot to post about this, my car was broken into at one point (left my door unlocked by accident), but nothing was taken. All the compartments were thrown open with everything in all four corners of my car. This is on the 4^th floor of the complex, roof level of parking garage!
So, 5 star location, with a 3 star apartment experience. Don’t overpay.

This is an older apartment but a great place to live. I lived here 3 years. The apartments have a very cozy, homey feel. Each apartment is different from the next. My apartment was very different from my next door neighbors. They have interesting layouts to each one. I lived in a one bedroom that was 724 sq ft and paid $ 1,200. Not a bad deal compared to some of the other places around. I lived on a first floor apartment overlooking the «kiss and run.» This spot had its positives and negatives. I loved the ease of access and the massive patio. Only downside was on multiple occasions people have gotten confused in their drunken state and passed out on my patio (thank you to the douche who puked right in front of my door. You could have at least turned toward the bushes one foot to your right.) If you have an apartment facing the outside, don’t put anything on your patio you don’t want stolen. Someone took off with my door sign and a potted plant one night. Not sure why they felt the need to steal my jalapeño plant but ok. Note: if you rent out apt 161 beware. The entry gate next to your apt slams into your main living room wall. I got woken up at all hours of the night by people coming in. A couple times while I was at work people slammed the gate hard enough that pictures fell off that wall and shattered.
They have a tiny gym but it’s adequate for minor cardio needs. The pool is a good size. I actually got up early some mornings in the summer to swim laps. The business center is nice and has two computers and two printers. There’s wireless internet in there as well if needed. There is a laundry center on site with washers and dryers available. The office staff is incredible friendly and quick to respond to any request you have. The maintenance guys are awesome! I’ll submit a Maintanence request and most times they fix it that exact day.
Parking is easy. Behind the gates is resident parking and it’s a free for all. I’ve never had my car dinged (knock on wood) in the garage or had an accident. Most people drive a cautious speed but every once in a while you get that idiot who whips around a corner like a bat out of hell. Pretty typical with any apartment.
Overall a great place to live. I loved living here. It’s within walking distance of so many great bars, restaurants, Katy tail, and three different gyms. I’d recommend this apartment to anyone looking for somewhere comfy, homey and not ridiculously expensive.

My (now) husband and I lived in Post Cole’s Corner for over two years (from 2009 to 2011). We wouldn’t trade that time for anything in the world — it was an overall great experience.
The large community has a mix of age ranges, and I felt very safe in the building and the area. We loved the pool amenities (we liked grilling with our other friends in the apts). Our favorite part was that PCCorner is within walking distance to so many great restaurants, bars, Albertson’s, Walgreens, and really close to the Katy Trail. Perfect location, in my opinion. Our rent only went up each year about $ 100 per month extra, and I think for the amount of space you yet in a unit, the rent is very reasonable. The leasing staff was also very friendly, helpful and understanding. If we ever had a maintenance issue, the staff was on top of fixing it the next business day.
The only 2 negative things I will say about living in PCCorner isn’t even the fault of the apartments — we had an upstairs neighbor who had no regard for quiet hours and had no social decency. He’d invite his friends over at 3am (sometimes on a Monday or Tuesday night) and they’d play loud music, do what sounded like wrestling or jumping around, and sit on the balcony and talk loudly.
Also, my husband’s Tahoe was broken into and the radio stolen out of it while parked in the PCCorner non-​gated parking area. I would recommend that all residents always park overnight in the gated parking area for residents only.
Other than 1 noisy neighbor and a vehicle incident, this place is the tops! A great place to call home.

One more thing. I saw a guy masturbating in the COMMUNITY computer room!
