Went here yesterday(Saturday) in my second attempt to use a Groupon/Google Offer deal and wouldn’t you know this is the second business(and oddly enough, both businesses were Korean) of the day that is no longer in business apparently… Called the number listed on their website and it said it was no longer in service. No signs anywhere on the building to indicate whether or not they are in/out of business. Too bad. Was one of their original customers when they first opened on Inwood. GREATKBBQ tacos, so it is really disappointing that they may not be here any longer. On to my refund request.

The Goghee burrito is pretty good. I got the steak burrito with everything. Added the combo with Goghee fries and drink. Fries were delicious, and almost filled me up before i got to the burrito. Topped it off with chips and guacamole, some more hot sauce on the side and I was stuffed. Overall it was 4.25 out of 5 for me. I will go back to try the Goghee sandwich.

I happened to be in the area the first day they opened at this location, so I stopped in with a friend. I had been reading about goghee since they opened their original location, and had been wanting to go — but never quite made it down there. As far as I had known, at the time, they were really on the up and up on the korean fusion trend. So here we are, opening day, dinner time. Free soda with purchase — that was a nice gesture. But jeez, everything else just seemed so wrong. They had, what looked to be a few extra people on hand, the owners were training them. Step by step, on how to construct food items. I totally understand some simple reminders or something, but these guys seemed utterly clueless. Shouldn’t this training have happened beforehand? I’ve got opinions,(clearly, all 400+ of my reviews say so) but even with a lack of customers and some severe down time, the owners did not concern themselves with asking any customer how anything was. I’d like to one day be that bad ass. Food was ok. I got queso with some of their pork in it, and the meat chunks were huge and difficult to scoop out with chips. Tacos were pretty much cold by the time they got to me, since they were constructed in super slow mode. But hey, first day — everyone gets a pass. Second trip: eh. I feel about the same as the first. I’ll let you in on a secret about me, I hate soggy food. If it’s purposeful, I hate it even more. Sandwich with au jus?! Gag me. With that said, all the meat that was placed in my taco, or on my fries, came with a huge scoop of meat juice. Was it just mine? No, my friend(also present on first trip) got the same treatment. Fries were soggy, tortillas were breaking. Messy food is ok in my book if the flavor warrants the mess — this mess was more frustrating than anything. With all the construction on 635, it’s a bit of a hassle to get here anyway. I can hope they do well, but it won’t be with help from me. I’ll stand back and let the fans order up.

The worst thing about this place is it’s extremely unfortunate location. I would have tried this sooner if it wasn’t so hard to get too. The second worst thing about Goghee is how excruciatingly close they are to having a winning concept. I got the Gogheeacoa taco and the spicy pork taco. The person who explained the process to me said that there was rice and beans available to add to the tacos, but the person preparing my meal never gave me those choices. The meat was flavorful, but the beef was a little too sweet for my taste. I would have rated the tacos higher, but the meat was so wet that the tacos were a soggy mess and too wet to pick up and eat with your hands. I got the cabbage mix on mine, but I’m afraid my cabbage was sliced from too close to the core because it was unpleasantly bitter. I don’t want to be a hater. I would love for this cute little place to work. They just have some fine tuning to do.

I love the idea of a Chipotle-esque Korean restaurant. The location is pretty unfortunate(tucked behind the overpass and skyrises… and construction). Upon entering, the décor is pretty hip. Relaxed-modern, I guess you could call it. The staff were all really nice and helpful in explaining the menu and how to order. I ordered a spicy pork bowl with the standard toppings and gimchee on top. Great flavor! The huge aluminum bowl it was served in threw me off since they only filled it halfway. It looked like I got ripped off. The bf liked his tacos. They’re a good size for the money– good value there! The gimchee was a bit watery to me, so I would leave that off next time. The rolls had. TOO much going on inside. I couldn’t really taste anything besides oil. I wish they offered a fried egg on top. I would totally pay an extra $ 1 for it.

It’s 3.5 stars. Kinda like a Chipotle set up, where you can choose tacos, burrito, or bowl and pick your stuff. I had the kimchee burrito and it was good. Kimchee was okay, wished it was the«real» Kimchee not«Americanized» but understand why they used it b/c seriously we don’t want to scare non-Asian customers :) It was tasty and good, but kinda wished they gave a little more meat… Definitely worth checking out if you’re tired of just regular tacos, tex-mex tacos, and Chipotle. p. s. i believe no drive thru yet. p. p. s. they play Korean music and had CNN news on at the same time :)

After driving past Goghee several times. I decided to stop last night after seeing their Groupon advertisement… The business itself was very clean and had a fresh feeling. The staff was very nice and offered assistance with the menu as soon as we walked in Right off the bat I noticed that they are not taking advantage of their drive-thru. Being how this was how you ran your last location, I find this very interesting considering the horrible location within the current and never-ending 635/DNT construction. It really could help to boost lunch & dinner business as there is very limited space to park. This would also set them apart from their«taco joint» competition.\ that does not offer this. Overall the food was good, but not great. My girl and I both gave it between a 5 – 6. The best thing was the spicy pork taco hands down. followed by the barbacoa and G Rolls. The Kimchee fries, where soggy due to the cold condiments poured on the top, and fries just plain suck once they are cold. Really don’t know how you could improve this. The beef meat option should also be passed up until they find a better seasoning to utilize. it tasted like nothing really. My biggest con about this place is their prices. they are too high. This place(wether they know it or not) has torchy’s, fuzzy’s, rusty’s, and other hordes of «taco joint» competition, and to be a whole 1 – 150 more expensive per taco will definately lead to a short lived life in this area(or just a ton of groupon customers). I wish these guys all the best and could definately recommend half of the menu…

What a fantastic restaurant! I had the Spicy Pork taco with gimchee and creamy fresca. The gimchee was perfect with the right amount of spice. I also had a Kornita taco with zesty asian salad and creamy fresca. I preferred the spicy pork over the kornita, but the kornita was still really tasty. Also, if you check in while you are there you get chip and salsa.

Goghee is a surprise hit given its hybrid approach to comfort food as both Korean and Tex-Mex. Admittedly I was hesitant at first, but the friendly staff quickly put my anxiety at ease. This may be a truly Dallas sensation that offers several tasty choices, chief of which I recommend Kimchi Fries. They are reminiscent of Poutine from my Native Canada, in that it’s a dish that just should not exist, but somehow does resulting in a sweet escape. The Kimchi Fries are traditionally thinly sliced fries topped with Kimchi, grated cheese, salsa and fresh herbs. It comes in two sizes mini and Texas; opt for the mini size. The next chief attraction are the tacos served in beef, chicken, pork and spicy pork meat options. I couldn’t decide so tried them all. All very tasty and can be customized with a host of traditional Tex-Mex sauces or Korean inspired spicy sauces and mayonnaise. Most pleasing to me was the pork taco, although the others came closely behind. Apart from the food, this new location opened less than 4 weeks at the time of this review, has a high tech feel with large screen HDTV’s around the relatively small and minimalist designed restaurant. There’s even a fireplace to cozy up beside. Perhaps in the ever so slightly cooler Dallas winters this feature may shine. Last but not least the bright smiles of the serving staff was unmistakable from the moment I walked through the door. They were really happy I was there and it started a new love affair with Dallas’ take on Korean/Tex-Mex mashup cuisine. In the words of the Terminator«I’ll be back.»

Happened to walk into this place since it’s close to my work. I’ve never heard of it before, but I’m from Austin where Korean/Mexican hybrids are pretty common. It was EXCELLENT. I was very pleased, especially for the price(under $ 7). I tried the goghee queso(sort of like korean barbacoa) and a «spicy pork» taco, loaded with lots of goodies. The taco really wasn’t too spicy, which is good for people like me with moderately low tolerance. If Torchy’s Tacos and Chipotle adopted a Korean baby, it would taste like this.

My coworkers and I loved the old goghee to go and were anxiously waiting for this one to open! I got the beef gimchee fries with extra gimchee, they were as good as before though maybe a bit less filling. If you haven’t tried their food but you are adventurous or like korean food/kimchi, you should definitely give them a try!

Couldn’t wait for this place to open and it truly exceeded my expectations. I got the beef burrito with Gimchee, brown rice, and all three sauces. First of all, the burritos are huge. My friendly server took out the tortilla to be pressed and I was in awe of the enormity. The beef is marinated in something phenomenal, and the gimchee adds a very savory balance of sour/sweet. I can honestly say I’ve never tasted anything like this. I can’t wait to go again. The staff is courteous and I chatted with one of the owners while he was ringing me up. Overall, a very cool, different, delicious place!
