Just simply flavorful, delicious food. The prices might seem a little steep at first glance, but once you receive your meal and see the amount of protein you get you’ll understand why. I had«The Standard»(with white meat chicken) and my hubby had the steak tasting plate(yakitori and Korean BBQ flavored were his favorite). We also shared the pork buns(AMAZING) and the Szechuan fries(spicy and delicious). I know there are a couple of negative reviews about the staff but everyone today was really friendly and helpful. Will be back for sure!

My boyfriend and I popped in on a Thursday night for a quick and easy dinner. We shared the hungry sumo combo(6 assorted skewers with rice), the pork buns and a side of Szechuan fries. All were delicious and we left very full. The service was attentive and the restaurant décor is very nice — potted«plants» on each table and mason jar Edison lights. I want to come back and try the ramen!

Definitely not worth it. Food is overpriced and takes forever. Came in for lunch with coworkers, and everything was staggered and it took about an hour to get our food. There was another small group in the restaurant but that definitely didn’t justify the hour long wait. No one really liked what they got either. Fried ice cream was bland because of the coating. The fries were almost good but were way over salted. Won’t be back especially since owners are condescending and obviously don’t listen to their customers

Service is slow. Waited 25 mins for my order of Ramen and Pork buns. No notification of the status of the food or why it was taking so long. Ambience is alright, it’s a newer place so I probably give them the benefit of a doubt that this was an isolated incident. Food is not too bad actually. When I finally got it, the broth was well seasoned and the meat was grilled with a good little char. Not sure if I would got back again because the food wasn’t worth that wait, and I’ve got more affordable better tasting options nearby.

This is new Yakitori place. I tried it yesterday. I was a bit underwhelmed. The prices are ridiculously expensive for what you get(which is not much — 2 small pieces of chicken with some rice — 10 dollars!). The food itself tasted ok, but was nothing to rave about. Also, the girl at the register made me feel guilty because I did not tip her when I was rung up for my meal(BEFORE I even tasted the food, or even had a chance to check out their service) It turns out that there is no need to tip anyway because this place is self serve. In general, this place isn’t getting much foot traffic and at most I give it a year before it shuts down.

I had bookmarked this place and we found ourselves in the neighborhood and decided to give it a try! At 2p, there was only one other person in there, but the guy at the front counter was super nice. He helped us order and we ended up getting a lot of a la carte items to try a bit of everything. I had the pork buns and a porkbelly skewer(Korean BBQ). My boyfriend had the shoyu ramen and we shared the free fries from checking in. Food came out fast and dang. Those skewers and pork buns are out of this world. So tasty! The sauces are good and to reiterate, yes the fries are definitely worth it. My boyfriend wasn’t super crazy about the ramen. He said it needed salt or more flavor, but appreciated that it came with lots of delicious porkbelly. Next time I come back I want to try a combo plate. We will absolutely be reordering the fries and pork buns. I definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Excellent, Excellent! I had the pork belly. Give this place a try. Disturbingly empty at lunch. I hope this place picks up more business. It would be a shame to loose it.

Service was a little slow at lunch, but the food was very good. The standard chicken and the pork belly yakitori were both very good. The Szechuan fries are excellent. I’ll certainly be making another trip soon.

We arrived at this spot at 8:40, figured the family and I would be spontaneous. Upon our arrival all the chairs had been put up … Mmh anyway went to cinco tacos instead since I saw they where in a hurry to leave. Updated review… Thank you for the reply, and again we where being spontaneous. We intended on ordering in, but we changed our minds. Hopefully we can make it sooner next time, and try out some skewers.

Randomly found this place on Unilocal yesterday and was pleased to find a yakitori place in Dallas a block away from my office! Score! I actually came here twice in a row. First day(yesterday), I had The Standard and chose my own flavors– Yakitori, BBQ and K-BBQ. Rice was delicious, and love their onion salad although I’m usually not an onion guy. Chicken was marinated and cooked really well! Enjoyed the seasoning and wish there’s more fat on it like the real Japanese ones(chicken skin. yum!). I also got their complimentary house fries from checking in on Unilocal.Seasoned really well too! Was craving for it all day and decided to go back the next day(today!), and grabbed my friend along. He got what I got yesterday but with Szechuan flavor I believe, which I tried and was pretty good. I got the chef’s guilty pleasure, which was shocking to me, as it merely was a higher class version of indomie mi goreng(stir fried instant noodles)(which I just ate a few days ago). Oh well, at least their ramen was cooked perfectly like how I like mine: chewy and not soggy. Good sauce and seasoning too that compliments their ramen and differs from indomie. Also love their onsen eggs and pork belly skewers! Onsen egg has a soy sauce coating on the outside and the yolk is poaching runny! Pork belly skewers were fatty and delicious too! Just like a true Asian skewer! I guess if I ever feel homesick or in need of comfort food, I’ll just have to drive a block away to dine here for some delicious«chicken rice» and high end mi goreng.

I felt like this is the best place for ramen in Dallas. No sodium overload, aromatic and flavorful with perfectly cooked eggs. They even come with delicious skewers of pork belly. The only other place I recall that was this good, was back in San Fran. The décor is modern and clean. Prices are slightly higher than market, but I’ll be back so I can try the chicken and the steamed buns. The fried needed a just a bit more seasoning but were plentiful.

This is my favorite skewers shop that I like. I like the Korean style chicken skewers. And also the hand made fries are amazing. The skewers also have BBQ and Chinese style favors. This is the best Japanese taste restaurant ever.!!

Pretty tasty though a bit pricey in my book. 6 small wings with seasoned fries for $ 9? Pork buns were quite good but, again, price point was a bit much at $ 8 for 3. Nice, clean well appointed dining room. Simple décor.

Everything was fantastic! The prices are a little more then you might expect but for the quality and amount of protein I thought they were fair. Customer service throughout the visit was great. Selection of food and beverages is great, love the Maine Root fountain drinks. My husband and I each ordered a combo with rice I had the chicken yakatori, he had the K-BBQ beef ribs. Both were tender, juicy, and flavorful. Rice was fluffy and well seasoned. We shared the Szechuan fries and pork buns as well. The fries are just a little spicy but unique and addictive. Pork bond are soft, great flavor on the sauce and cucumber lighten up the rich pork belly. Love that the pork belly is chopped up making it easier to eat. We will definitely be back. Look forward to the official grand opening Thursday.

Where to start? The entire experience was near perfect. When we first arrived, we were greeted right away by a smiling face and cheerful employee. The interior of the restaurant had a very modern look. It was also clean and appeared to be very spacious. The lighting was a little dim, but not enough to distract for the ambiance. After a quick glance at their menu, I decided on getting Infamous Pork Buns(which consisted of 3 buns stuffed with grilled pork belly with green onion and cucumber) and my boyfriend ordered the Chef’s Favorite(3 skewers of Korean barbecued pork bellies served on a bed of seasoned rice) with a side of Green Onion Salad. The food arrived at our table in a timely manner and it was great. The buns were delicious. A little fatty for my taste, but it was to be expected with the fact that the cut was pork belly. The Chef’s Favorite was also good, especially since the pork belly was actually not that fatty on this dish. The rice was evenly seasoned which was surprising since I expected the rice to just be white rice when I originally ordered. It also came with a decent amount of slice green onion, which really tied all the flavors of the meat and rice together. The only complaint I would have with the second dish is that the meat was a little tougher than the one in the buns. Salad was light and perfect side to have for the heavier meat. Overall, I would rate the food a 4.5 since there were just little things here and there that could have been better. The three dishes were enough for the two of us to be full, yet it did not leave the feeling of us being stuffed to the brim. The service pushed the general rating to a 5 as it was top-notched.

Nothing I love more then fresh meat cooked to perfection. The pork buns where tasty and the perfect portion for a light lunch. They were tasty, quick and affordable for my short lunch break from UTDallas. Supporting local business on a budget is doable here!

The pork belly and chicken thighs are amazing! Best skewers I’ve had in Dallas with a nice twist with all their different flavors! You also gotta try their Chinese buns with pork belly! The only place in Dallas that serves them! Def recommend this place!
