Ordered $ 300 in food, has to wait extra long for food even though we called it in. Employee got mad when I asked for a receipt. Customer service bad here, go another location. manager talking with other employees in the corner rather than helping out.

We love getting their whole grilled chicken family meal comes with rice, beans, grilled onions, tortillas and hot sauce. It’s the best flavor. Their prices aren’t bad.

The chicken is absolutely delicious. I’ve been to two of the other locations in the last week and I always got a roasted jalapeño with my order. this time they wanted to charge me 4.70 for one roasted jalapeño… it didn’t make sense. The bathroom was horrendous. I will go to the other locals.

This is so good. Their baked potato region is so huge and delicious. The price of it is expensive but it’s an massive load of food. Since it is a massive potato, I think they should have the doubled the amount of beef. They have added butter, cheese and sour cream. And have given a type of sauce. If you’re looking for Mexican food, you should try here at least once.

Nope. Never going back. I’m a huge fan of this chain, having basically subsisted off it for years when I lived in the suburbs. But I’ve made the five mile drive to this location for the last time. Carne asada is cooked in grease — I get it. That’s one of the things that makes it so delicious. But if the kitchen can’t drain the grease off before they shove it in the takeout box… and that grease gets into the pico de gallo… and all you can taste is grease… and the grease around the edge of the box has hardened like wax… yeah. Disgusting. I had to dispose of the pico and onions because of this, and only a hazmat containment job salvaged the meat. I was already ill-disposed to this location because of the fussy, aggressive need to charge takeout customers a buck for three lidless paper cups from the admittedly excellent salsa bar. But this disgusting experience assures that if I ever return to EPR it will be at a different location.

I honestly was blown away by this place. I’m a Tipico’s fan, but this night I decided to live dangerously, so I hit the drive-through and ordered the half chicken meal, which came with a side of rice, beans, corn tortillas, and two types of salsas. The star was definitely the tender, well-seasoned, and oh-so-succulent chicken! It was so good I couldn’t help tearing into it with my bear hands(pun intended), which made me feel a bit primitive –but oh the flavor! The rice and beans were a good compliment as well. I just made a taco out of the meat and salsa and let my taste buds sing the«Hallelujah» chorus. The avocado sauce was definitely my favorite. It had just the right combo of spice and yummy avocado-tinged flavor. I“m so glad I decided to take a chance on this place. It reminded me that sometimes when you take a risk it really pays off. And I won big with El Pollo Regio!

This location gets one star for the worst customer service!!! For starters get the order right! I ordered half a chicken with a side of grilled jalapeño and fries. She gave me RICE! ok, no big deal. gave her the credit card she just stood there, dazed… and said its was a long day… held the card for a min. and fianlly rung me up. when I asked for togo salsa containers she told me that she didn’t have lids and needed to go alll the way to the back and get them and told me to I needed to wait a while. like 10 min. So when I ask for other containers she said she had to charge me. WHAT! AREYOUSERIOUS! Not only did she tell me to wait but tried to make me pay for her laziness and told me shes to busy because theres a big order coming in.(Family of 5) WOW! I’m a paying customer too! So when I asked for a manager he came out and gave me containers and lids that we’re behind the counter! Smh. I will call corporate and file a complaint… Clearly I was the only non hispanic

I’ve tried all the taco place on every«Best Tacos» list in this area. You cannot beat Pollo Regio Bachmann. Their barbacoa rocks!!! Their pastor rocks! All their tacos are excellent! They also have mole enchiladas and chicken and rice soup. Go and see for yourself!

O.M.G!!! Hubbie walked in here on Labor Day after the bestest trip to Boston because, you know, we wanted to eat some chicken & jalepenos & stuff. So we walk in and. . WTH is that SMELL??? OMG I couldn’t believe anyone was in there! We exited stage left immediately! It smelled like garbage and sewage and mixed together and baked in the 109 degree Dallas heat for at least a day GROSS!

I got their family meal which is I believe $ 21.99 for two whole chickens, 2 rices, 2 beans, salsa verde, and tortillas. You get so much food but that can’t make up for taste and service so here goes. As far as service … you will definitely feel a little intimidated by the spanish speaking people here but they are still friendly and try to accomodate to your needs. NOW … for the TASTE … HOLYMOLY … the smoke flavor is intense and amazing here. You almost feel like you are watching them grill it on a fresh BBQ grill with the best chargoal in town while you are eating it!!! Just close your eyes while you take the first bite and you’ll know what I mean. Oh Em Jeeh … hands down … this is the best smoky chicken I have ever tried in my life. PERIOD.

I have passed this place many times and saw the reviews are really good so I decided to stop in today for lunch. I went with John M.‘s suggestion and went with the #16 which is a great deal for the amount of food that you get. The flavor is really good– no arguing that. I went right at peak lunch hour and the service was super quick. The avocado and salsa verde were fantastic and the self serve bar was well stocked and very clean. The limes were really juicy and fresh, also. The only thing is that my chicken was really dry… even the dark meat. I received my order within a minute of placing it, so obviously they pre-cook everything and have it ready for the lunch crowd-which is understandable. I think I must have just gotten a package that was cooked first thing and has been sitting a couple of hours. I’m not giving up, though! The flavor was great, so I will try again another day and hopefully be able to raise the stars a little bit!

The chicken here is amazing~ super moist, smoky flavor. Usually when I get grilled chicken, it’s super dry. Not this place^^* Super moist, flavorful chicken! Way better than any rotisserie chicken. Also, inside they have a little self serve salsa bar… salsa verde and the avocado salsa are my favorite. MmmMMm

This place it great! There are only one of two things I order when I go here. The other food, meh. It is all about that chicken here. I either order«one whole chicken» or «half a chicken». The meal includes beans, rice, tortillas and an onion. Rip the chicken off the bone make your own taco. Personally, I think the Green Sauce makes this place addictive. When I have people over from out of town, they always want The Bird. When I moved to Dallas I got to drive by this place every day on the way home from work. I would stop and get some bird two to three times a week. I still go to Regio on a regular basis. I buy a few extra green sauces every time I go.

When I am in this area I almost always stop by Pollo Campero, but this time I decided on something different so I stopped by El Pollo Regio and I am glad I did. I had the #16(half a chicken, 2 sides and a drink). They were running a special so I got it for cheaper then usual BONUS!). I paid about $ 8. The chicken was spiced right. It was juicy and delicious. There was nothing special about the rice that came with the meal but when combined with the chicken it was out of this world. The beans after a squeeze of lime was great as well. lots of bonus fatback mixed in. Their salsa bar was great as well. The meal came with a stack of warm corn tortillas. They were playing some world cup games during my visit and it was a great atmosphere. No beer but was a good 45 minutes — hour of good food and football. The food came quick I just took my time and hung out. It will forever be a tough decision on which to choose, Regio or Campero, but I think it will come done to fried or not. I saw they also do barbecoa tacos which I would love to try.
