Cheddars typically has great food, but today they get only one star because their cleanliness is poor. A roach crawled on the table shortly after we received our food… after moving to a different table we looked back and another roach was crawling down the wall. In addition, there were several flies in this place. Totally unacceptable for an indoor dining experience!

When we were walking up we should’ve turned around and head back to the vehicle. The glass door was so nasty AND there’s an armed police standing at the door. But we continued in bc I just had to have there chicken tenders & broccoli casserole.. I got so nauseated just by the cleanliness of the place that I couldn’t eat my chicken tenders that I was craving; darn dog got it all once I got home. If you have a weak stomach I would suggest stay out. Very dirty! Waitress was on point and very attentive to us and I’ll presume the food was good by how fast the dog ate his chicken!

My friends and I «break bread» together at least once a month. It’s no secret that I’m a stickler for checking reviews before we dine at any restaurant. On Friday, July 10, 2015, we waited until the last minute to decide on a restaurant, and ended up meeting at Cheddar’s(Hampton i20). I was ok with Cheddar’s because I had dined at one before, but not this location. I quickly looked this particular location up, but did not have time to look at the reviews. I ignored the rating, due to time constraints and my eagerness to meet with my friends. That was my first mistake. I must commend our waitress because she was a doll. She was attentive to our needs, and she was very professional. After all of my friends had made it, we ordered. I ordered the Country Fried Chicken. As I was eating my food, I noticed a piece of blonde, straight hair in it. This disgusted me and I politely informed the waitress. She apologized and was gracious and removed the plate. She offered to get me a fresh plate, but because hair in my food makes me want to upchuck, I declined her offer. She informed the manager and they took it off of our bill. After sitting there, I decided to order the dish again, praying that it would be free of any foreign substance. It came and there were no issues. She brought the bills to the table and I paid for the meal that I had reordered. My friends privately protested because they felt that for the sake of customer satisfaction, my meal should have been complimentary. Our sweet waitress informed the on-duty manager and he came to our table. First of all, he should have done that initially to apologize for the issues with my food, but he did not! Second of all, he came to our table and nonchalantly asked what he could do for us??? Really, no apology, wow! This is not a good look for a manager. After I explained about the hair, he became defensive and informed us that he didn’t have anyone in the kitchen with blonde hair! Then he further when on to justify the mistake by saying these things could happen. He didn’t offer any consolation. I believe that this manager was insensitive, unapologetic, and lacked empathy. The restroom was filthy, both paper towel rolls were empty, and it was full of flies. This is a direct reflection on him. I think that he needs to study the customer service techniques of other restaurants with great customer satisfaction and add it to his managerial repertoire. Also, a few inconspicuous fly traps wouldn’t hurt. My friends and I were sorely disappointed in this experience, however we still managed to enjoy one another. I would have given our waitress 5 stars, but the whole experience was disappointing.

Went here this weekend after years of passing by. was pleasantly surprised. Was very busy. We were seated rather quickly. service was kinda slow, but the food was very good. Waitress was helpful and pleasant. Will definitely return soon.

Once again, I’m going to give thumbs-up to a chain just because they are hanging in there south of the Trinity. I wanted to meet a friend who lives in De Soto for lunch and we determined that this place was an easy in-between spot for us. The restaurant was busy with what looked like local business people(and a table full of cops). We sat in the pleasant bar area and enjoyed friendly, efficient service. I liked my Asian Chicken & Shrimp Salad. It’s not for food snobs but I’m sure I’ll be back.
