One of my favorite places to have brunch. Everything is fresh and the price is great.

VERYSLOW getting us seated. The food was mediocre(although there was a lot of it). The atmosphere is rather clangy and child filled. It’s probably fine for familes, but for the average Dallas Bruncher, I definitely don’t recommend it. I won’t be going back again.

We usually love the Another Broken Egg restaurants, but this one falls short on service as soon as you walk in. At 10AM on a Sunday morning, the host asks if we want to sit at the bar, we say yes, and he motions to it with a «go for it» gesture. Well, we walk around a few times thinking we missed something, but there were no spots available. We of course ended up further down on the wait list since more people walked in as we were wandering… thanks, buddy. We saw this happen to two older men as well. I mean c’mon now, show a little more effort, please. The layout of the restaurant is odd. It seems like there is lots of space but few tables, and we ended up at a table jammed in a corner with constant waiter and runner flow and the sound of coffee grinders. Hubs and I each had a latte and skinny omelette. No complaints there… all tasted great! Even the english muffins and fruit accompanying the dish were very fresh. We’ve never been disappointed with the food at an Another Broken Egg Café. Ultimately, the food is solid and what you would expect from the chain, but the service is, well, meh. This location is not on our list of places to return.

Wanted to like this place because I like the one on Buckner and this one has a patio, so even better, right? Got an Eggs Benedict and the English muffin on the bottom was cold and wet. Server never came back around so I could point this nastiness, couldn’t eat it. Brunch FAIL. Sat on the patio on an earlier visit and it was okay. Still like the Buckner location better, pretty sure I’m done with this location.

I go here because on Saturday mornings I usually am in need of a bloody Mary and the ones here are great! The presentation of them is great as well! I’ve tried a few things here to eat, omelette is just ok, the eggs Benedicts are pretty dang good though!!! The waiters need to learn how to wait… A little clueless, but you can help them along. They always look frazzled even when there are only like 2 tables in the restaurant. So lower rating because of the staff, but the look of the place is so cute, and good food!

I absolutely love this brunch place! The food is amazing and there are so items that I can’t believe I have lived with out like«The Madison» for example. Highly recommend this when you visit. The staff is sweet and they keep up the country kitchen idea. The place is adorably decorated with«broken egg» items and bright yellow chairs. The colors are warm and inviting that make the whole place cozy. The mimosas are a little on the expensive side but that is only because they are so LARGE! I suggest the beignets as well as a starter. The coffee is great and comes in adorable mugs! One of my friends bought the mug set to use at home. The«sweet spot» to come is before 11 as they get slammed at 11 – 11:15 for those coming in after church with their families. This is definitely one of my go-tos and hope you all enjoy this place as much as I do.

I didn’t think this place was so bad. Their omelettes are soft and fluffy and taste fresh. I had the one topped with chorizo and it was very good. The potatoes were yummy, if a bit underseasoned. I made sure to top mine with pepper and salt, but the potato itself was very soft and chewy. We both got bloody marys which came out delicious and in a giant glass. Expensive, but a big portion. We got top notch service. I can see the place getting busy though since it’s so small. I may not go back very often since it is very expensive, but it’s definitely a solid restaurant.

Potatoes… Perfectly seasoned and perfectly crisp. I will go back just for potatoes if nothing else. Yum… Their menu contains very interesting dishes. Many good breakfast restaurants only serve regular stuff like bacon, eggs, sausage, etc. Another Broken Egg Café has lobster omelet with brie cheese, some dish with crab cake among others, which I have not seen at any other breakfast joint. There are many interesting dishes at Another Broken Egg Café and it was totally worth the visit. I loved my lobster omelet. Other reviews are correct that the price is not low, but I think their interesting dishes deserve the price. The staff was nice and the place was clean as well. The waiting is not bad in a spacious waiting area.

Meh. If that. It’s quite expensive for what it is. I’d prefer brunch elsewhere for sure. I had the eggs benedict and they were barely passable. The potatoes were good. Service was fine. Atmosphere was nonexistent. Just… no. Never again.

My first visit and last. I dont care what the price is if its good. This place is over priced for what you get. What I got wasnt worth paying for. At first glance the place is appealing, very busy and the menu has many chioces. Undecided I notice they are originally founded in Lake Charles. So that made my decision to go with the Mardis Gras Omlete seem like a no brainer. Yuck. The crawfish were so fishy that we could barely eat the dish. The service was extremely poor and if not for an alert someone comming by my coffee would have gone unrefilled. The huge waffel was just chewy like it had been warmed up in the microwave. At 7.50 id like my waffle right. So, so, so, so many good options in Dallas to ever think about going here again. Imean Buzzbrews, Original Pancake.etc.etc.I think if someone gave me the choice Dennys or Another Broken id goes to Dennys. They are obviously trying to grow to fast. Hey management/strategic planners. I recommend you get the reproducability-duplication thing down(at a reasonable price point) before you«grow» any more. Café Brazil anyone? Did I mention that I watched the food service truck unload probably everything i was eating from the truck outside the window. No local stuff here.

I went here on a Sunday around 10:30 and there was a wait, but we ended up sitting at the bar. Overall our service was good and we were in and out in 40 minutes — they kept coffee in my cup the entire time. That being said, the couple that sat down next to us had a longer wait to order than we did. I would have probably given these guys three stars if I had their wait. The food was great, and there was A LOT of it. I thought it was a nice break from some of the more upscale brunch places you normally see around Dallas. Overall my experience was good and I would likely go back again.

For the overall experience it was alright. The food is awesome!!! Service was horrible!!! I had to ask for refills on coffee and water, not to mention I think the server was hungover or something bc he charged me $ 50 for a $ 10 tab. The food is great though! This restaurant is from Louisiana and this is the first one in Texas. The pancakes and southwestern scramble was delicious! Especially the pancakes. They tasted better than crackel barrell and thats saying a lot because I love Crackel Barrell pancakes. I would definitely go to Another Broken Egg again, but instead go to the white rock location for a better experience.

In a nutshell, this place has good brunch options in a nice, casual setting, but is slightly overpriced. I arrived at 11am this Sunday, and it was a 30-minute wait. They offer free coffee while you wait, which I thought was a good idea. We started with the biscuit beignets($ 4.99) and the large cinnamon roll($ 2.99) and both were warm, rich and delicious. The beignets were a good portion for sharing, but the cinnamon roll was small for more than 2 – 3 people to share. The main menu had a wide variety of omelettes, egg scrambles, and eggs benedict as well as some tempting pancake, french toast and other options. I settled on a Farm Fresh omelette($ 8.99) which had broccoli, tomatoes, mushrooms and onions. Everything was fresh and well-cooked. I asked for light cheese, which they were great about honoring. The dish came with a side of home fries which were like mini steak fries, but were good. My husband had the Popeye omelette($ 9.99) with fresh spinach and tomatoes which he also enjoyed. Everyone at our table was very pleased with the quality of the food. We just wish that it was a couple dollars less per dish considering it was a pretty casual setting in a strip mall, with a pretty standard brunch fare.

Wow– 2 Star average? Not something I expected for this place. The wife and I went exploring for a new breakfast joint to add to our repertoire and stumbled into this place with apprehensions. why you ask? Because– my fellow Unilocaler’s have expressed their dislike. I’m out to prove them wrong. well at least try. I can’t quite remember the dish I had, but I do know it was a migas type of smorgasborg of goodness– potatoes were well seasoned, salsa was fresh, eggs not overcooked and dry like some place called Café Brazil :-), and lots of sausage!!! What a tasty treat! As always, the wife sticks with the standard pancakes and bacon. I noticed the bacon was a rather generous portion!!! Pancakes were above par as well she said, with the crispness she loves after the syrup congeals a bit. Yup– I am bucking the 2 star trend and going with 4. Service was alright in my book and my wallet wasn’t emptied either. I must say also about the price thing that I have seen other reviewers complain about. Yes– my breakfast was 10.99– however, my breakfast also doubled as my lunch later. The portion was that large. So I look at it as around 7 bucks with tax. Glass half full :-) And the kicker– coffee was fresh and hot, without that Starbucks burnt taste!

Ok breakfasts made from scratch so healthier than IHop or Denny’s. Generic setting and food with the basics, including strong coffee. Weird when local businesses feel like chains, so you might expect something special, but don’t. Entrees hover at $ 10 and over.

The food here was great but I think this might be the worst service I’ve ever experienced in any restaurant! I really think they must not have a manager or any sort of organization going on, it was complete chaos! We sat at the bar b/c there were no tables and didnt want to to wait for one. We were served by three different people during our entire two hour dining experience. It took forever to get anyone to wait on us, to get our drinks, food, etc. They gave us the wrong omelette, they actually switched ours with the people sitting next us. We knew we had the wrong omlette when my husband bit into it and and there were tons of onions and peppers which he hates. We would have sent it back, but know one ever asked us how our food was or anything. I ended up trading my waffle with him since he hates onions and peppers. I actually like spicy foods but don’t eat them b/c I have GERD. I ended up with the worst heart burn of my life which ruined my Sunday afternoon. The girl next to us finally flagged down a waiter and said her omelette had no onions or peppers which was when I chimed in and said they must have confused them. They did give us a gift card but I dont plan to use it unless we have a lot of time to spare because the service was just so slow. I think we probably could have walked out without paying and no one would have noticed b/c it was so chaotic. Too bad I have to say avoid this place, the food was tasty… but the service ruined it! Servers didnt even smile, say good morning or make eye contact.

The key word in the name of this place is «Broken.» I am careful about handing out one-star ratings, but unfortunately, this place deserves it. If you are ever tempted to try it… please take my advice. Run, don’t walk, in the opposite direction. We were driving to breakfast and the Oasis parking lot look particularly crowded, so the husband said why not try Another Broken Egg. I said that I had seen some bad reviews, but how badly can you mess up eggs, we wondered. The answer to that is very, very badly. By the way, the also manage to mess up bacon, waffles and biscuits and gravy too. Oh, and potatoes and smoked salmon as well. As for service, we watched someone at the table next to us send her breakfast back because she had requested no ham and it came with. The genius of a manager came by with a plate of complimentary bacon to make up for the mixup. Really? Here is the rundown: The menu is extensive with a wide variety of inspired-sounding dishes. I ordered the omelet with cream cheese and smoked salmon. It came out cold and extremely underwhelming with fatty, fishy smoked salmon on top. Three bites was as far as I could go. The english muffin had been warmed, but not really toasted, and the potatoes that they brag about all over the menu required ketchup just to make them edible… and I’m not a ketchup at breakfast gal. My husband got the biscuit and sausage gravy dish, which was boring and poorly executed. Kids got the belgian waffle, and it appears that someone went completely nutmeg crazy with them. The kids gave up after a couple of bites. My son ordered bacon and eggs on the side too, and even his scrambled eggs were sub-par. The craziest thing is that we left with bacon on the table, which never, ever happens with my family, but even the bacon wasn’t good. The worst part of it all is that the check was $ 54 for breakfast for two adults and two kids for the food mentioned above, two coffees and two chocolate milks. Ugh.

I was a little skeptical given previous reviews here of how my lunch would go today but we choose to go try it anyway and decide for ourselves, I’m glad we did. Service was wonderful — very friendly server who kept our drinks full, helped with menu selections and the food came out pretty quick. The restaurant was clean, bright and roomy. They have quite a few breakfast selections, several sandwiches and a few soup/salad options. Food was good, not outstanding. I would say prices are a little high but their portions are on the larger side. My rueben sandwich and potatoes were 10.99 and my husbands eggs blackstone were 11.99, that’s a lot for eggs, hollandaise, tomatoes, english muffins and potatoes. Overall, an a-ok experience but nothing that was so good it makes me want to come back for their version instead of somewhere else.

The boyfriend and I decided to try this place out, as he knows I am a sucker for breakfast. I think we’ve tried more breakfast places than other places. Anyway, we drove down to Greenville and Lovers to try this place out. Decently sized menu, for sure, but the prices aren’t cheap. On average, I’d say $ 3 – 4 more per person than your IHOP or Denny’s. We got the little«biscuit» beignets as a starter because I was intrigued. They weren’t bad, but MAN were they sweet, and I didn’t care for the sauce they came with(boyfriend did, though). They were also a pretty large portion. Would be a good starter for a table of 4 or so, but too much for the two of us PLUS breakfast on the way. We took the other ½ of the order and gave them to my mom who lives down the street– she was also a fan. We both got the«Potatoes Sensation» breakfasts… Country potatoes with various veggies/meats and cheese on top. Delicious. We added eggs to ours, as well. The waitress also cut us a serious break on the price, because my boyfriend added 8 or 9 ingredients to his(3 are included in the price), but was only charged for about 3 extras. I really liked mine. It was similar to the«Western Skillet» I used to get at IHOP all the time. I got mushrooms, onions, and bacon. DELICIOUS. Other than the price, my only issue was the bacon. They bake their bacon rather than fry it in a skillet. It’s not bad, please don’t misunderstand. it just has an incredibly distinct taste to it that kind of over-powered the rest of the items mixed into the potatoes. If you had it on the side with eggs and pancakes, it might make quite a difference, but mixed in with the rest of my breakfast… it all tasted like bacon(and for me to say that like it’s a bad thing is saying something. Bacon is its own food group in our house). Overall, I’d recommend it– but steer clear of bringing a group of 6+ here if you’re planning on picking up the tab. Also, beware the over-powering bacon.

When I saw that they were putting in another, Another Broken Egg in Dallas I was very excited. I had been told great things about their other location by white rock lake. Unfortunately the rave reviews I heard were from that friend that always hypes the worst things. I was undeterred and thought maybe he would be spot on this time… I mean no one can possibly be wrong all the time, right!!! Another Broken Egg is located where Two Rows used to be right off Greenville Ave. They basically cut the restaurant in ½ and spruced things up with a coat of paint. The original bar is still there and sure enough that’s where we were seated after a brief 10 min wait. There was free coffee in the little waiting room but the coffee was out and there were no cups. The coffee was refilled and cups were put out as soon as we were being seated. No biggie. There are two TV’s on the bar and they have a small selection of draft beers, bloody mary’s, mimosas, etc. For a place that is only open from 7am to 3pm I’m not really sure how many many people need a Shiner Bock or Stella with their pancakes but whatever floats your boat. The selection on the menu is great and everything sounds awesome. I seriously wanted a little of everything and took my sweet time deciding. I settled on the Eggs Blackstone, basically Eggs Benedict with bacon & tomato slices which came with a side of their«great country potatoes.» Their country potatoes are fried cubes of potato that have most likely lived the majority of their potato life in a freezer bag. Some refer to them as french fries, SKIP. Some roasted potatoes would have hit the spot. The eggs benedict was OK, but nothing special. It was mostly flavorless and required some salt & pepper. I also ordered a side of corned beef hash which was a favorite of our server. It was under seasoned and forgettable. Service was great. My Coffee cup was always full and the waitstaff was very attentive. A+ service. The prices are higher than I expected. $ 8 bloody mary? No thanks. I got out of there spending ~$ 22 after tip. All in all I can’t say I will be going back any time soon. When you spend most of your time thinking about everything you would change & just cooking it all yourself, it’s not good.
