Fresh and clean place. Large menu to choose from and reasonable prices with expected portions. Great fast service for lunch. Parking in front is minimal but there is free street parking.

I would have given them a better review, but their service is as trashy as their location. I bought two groupons for Ai this place and the first one went well, but the second one, not so much. The rules on the Groupon do clearly state that you need a reservation to use the Groupon, but when we called, they say they don’t do reservations. It DOESNOT say anything about carry out. No where on the rules does it say«no carry out», and they will even acknowledge that. Instead of apologizing like a normal human being, this low life ass wipe manager just says«I’m not arguing with you, and don’t ever come back». This is why your place is doing so shitty and always empty.

So so overpriced. Really disappointed with the pricing for a very average location and small roll. $ 15 for one of the smallest rainbow rolls I’ve ever eaten??? Not unless you’re Wolfgang Puck.

Ok sushi place in Oak Lawn. Stopped here one day when we had a work event at the Renaissance and didn’t feel like eating hotel food. By no means the worst sushi I have ever had. Also not the greatest.

Went for lunch and wasn’t disappointed. Got the orange chicken box for around 10 $. Came with miso soup, orange chicken, rice, egg roll, 4 peices of sushi, and a small salad. Great deal and every part of it was good! Will definitely be back.

5⁄5 again second visit! We haven’t tried the rolls here but we love their sashimi, delicious and generously portioned.

Really horrible first initial impression that gradually was better as the rest of the night continued. So my boyfriend and I come here on a Sat night at 7pm with a groupon. We come in to a half-full restaurant and a hostess asking if we have a reservation. We tell her we don’t and she tells us it’s going to be a wait as they are short-staffed. I understand this, but on a saturday night at peak time it’s unusual to have the hostesses acting as the only waitressess… odd. So we ask if we can sit at the bar while we wait for a few tables to open up. She replies that they can’t, which I thought was EXTREMELYWEIRD. They have a full bar and a bartender but yet we can’t get a glass of wine while we wait 15 – 20 minutes for a half-full restaurant to open a few more tables on a Saturday night. At this point, I’m fuming and we would have left it it weren’t for the groupon. When we finally make it to the table, our service was pretty decent. Wine prices were awesome and we ended up getting a botte of their house cab for $ 20. We tried the miso soup, which was really flavorful and three rolls. The las vegas was my favorite and was perfectly crunchy and delicious. The cherry roll was my boyfriend’s favorite and was super fresh and awesome. Lastly, the volcano roll was a decadent end and was perfectly cooked. We tipped really well and left happy(not sure if this was the wine talking), but I’m not sure if we’ll be back. Definitely would recommend having a reservation though!

Food is great, environment was fancy. The bathrooms were clean. We ordered the jalapeños rolls and yellowtail w panzu sauce. The jalapeños were very spicy but that’s how me and my girlfriend likes it. Her and I ordered each a miso soup and their house garden which was delicious. Ginger dressing was tasty. Waitress was very sweet. They also have an outside patio w fireplace which is great for those who smoke.

Needed late night delivery after checking in at the Hilton Anatole. Ordered through Unilocal. No regrets. Food was awesome including salads, seaweed, Bibimbop, grilled mackerel and udon noodles. The calamari was not as crispy but still tastes great. Thanks for the late night treat!!! Will definitely order from you guys again at the next trip to Dallas…

Ai Sushi Sake Grill is a hidden sushi place in the Cedar Springs area. It’s located right under an apartment complex in the corner. Definitely a nice enough restaurant and atmosphere for a first date. I ordered the calamari for an appetizer, and two udon entrees(one for my niece and I). The calamari had the proportion of batter to octopus just about right. Yaki udon — is stir fried udon(so please be aware if you’re looking for the broth kind, my niece didn’t know) — Not the best entrée in my opinion but suitable for those who like stir fried. My snow crab udon was great overall. The broth had a nice flavor profile to it and the crab legs were broken making it easy for customers to get a hold of the crab meat inside. My niece ended up taking my entrée to finish — that’s how good I can describe it. Overall — I’d say Ai Sushi Sake was 4⁄5 stars. Great for first date or casual dinner with friends.

While pricey, I have enjoyed every item I have tried from here(multiple sushi rolls and crab rangoon). I have never been to the restaurant, having only ordered delivery. The delivery has always been within 5 minutes of the eta, and every item is neatly packaged in a little box without being smushed or thrown around in transit. Note: there is a delivery minimum of $ 20 and a delivery charge of $ 3.99, which quickly adds up along with tip for the driver. So, if you’re not in the mood to drop a little coin(~$ 40 for two people), then I would recommend saving this spot until you are.

What a great find! Stopped here for lunch on our way through Dallas. Nice atmosphere. Good food. The calamari was done nicely. Could’ve used a more interesting sauce. My bento box was SO much food, and the short rib was delicious! I’d definitely eat that again. Wasn’t a fan of the miso soup, but I’m not sure I like miso soup, so that’s a moot point. I’m also a judge of bathrooms. These are some of the most interesting I’ve seen. They easily get a 4⁄5 star, too.

It’s a convenient location in oak lawn. I met up some friends for brunch, the décor was gorgeous and tried the bento box as well as the katsu and both were not bad!

Can someone tell me why the Golden Gate is $ 17?When ordering it was next to the tuna and salmon tower so I guess I thought it would kind of be like the salmon and tuna tower. The menu states«4 layers of sushi» yet this roll has one layer on each. It was fresh, but I don’t know if I’ll be back to get this. For the price, I do believe I should have gotten more than 7 pieces also.

Nice place: first time here, stopped for dinner and craving sushi. They have a huge menu of the usual and unusual offering, I stuck with the specialty and house offerings which include riceless options. We ordered so many items I can’t remember the names of them all but the riceless owns wrapped with salmon, cucumbers and soy wrappers were my favorites. Service is attentive without being annoying: the space inside is very attractive. Wait… They have a co-ed restroom: as in the one restroom for multiple users to use at once. Damn funky.

I’ve been here a couple of times to meet a business colleague for lunch and both times there were less than 10 customers for Friday lunch hour. Why? It’s not the food — the sushi is fresh and very well prepared. We each got the 3 roll lunch special with hot and sour soup which, with tip, runs around $ 17. My three rolls were spicy tuna, spicy salmon and a Louisiana roll. The three rolls were presented on a platter with great ginger and just-right-heat wasabi. The 18 pieces of sushi & a decent portion of hot and sour soup was very filling and very delicious. The server was attentive without smothering, the atmosphere is very upscale casual, and best of all the background music was KPOP — I just happen to be an obsessed KPOP fan. I was happily swaying to U-KISS, 2NE1, Hyuna and f(x) while eating some fresh, tasty sushi. I highly recommend them for lunch — haven’t been yet there for dinner.

I’ve been here several times and it’s a great spot. The inside décor is quite modern and offers tables and a sushi bar. The menu includes riceless roles, traditional sushi, nigri and sashimi. All of the fish is fresh and priced relatively well. Typically there’s no wait, which is very rare in Dallas.

Parking can be a bit of a challenge for this location and expect to park on the residential streets. They have the ability to serve big parties or small gatherings and their staff is always so friendly and spot on with service. I didn’t feel so bad eating by myself at the sushi bar because I found others also dining alone. The guy behind the bar making the food are friendly and are not shy to converse with you — and maybe have a drink or two with you, too I ordered an Ahi tower and it was perhaps one of the best that I have ever had. The seafood was very fresh, the rice was soft and the wasabi sauce was just enough to give it the kick that I wanted. My favorite new close sushi restaurant!

A Tamago Junkie in Dallas has probably accepted the fact that they’re going to be served cold and sweaty tamago at mid-grade sushi establishments. I haven’t met anyone that loves that sweet egg omelette as much as I do. So, it makes sense why it is often forgotten in quality. Ai Sushi is one place that has done the tamago some justice though. It arrives warm and the edges are lightly brown and crispy like someone actually made it in the kitchen and didn’t buy it packaged at H-Mart! Their tuna sashimi though is nast-ay. It was waxy, man. Horrific. Did I just get the older slabs of tuna? I also had an uni shooter, but all I tasted was the tartness of the liquid it was floating in. Just fork up some cash and get some uni straight up. I haven’t seen pressed sushi in any of my Dallas sushi adventures at all until this visit. The Golden Bridge pressed sushi is simple, yet incredible. Salmon stacked on crab, stacked on tuna on top of rice mixed with masago. No stupid spicy mayo and no stupid avocado filler. Thank you for creating this. NOTHANKYOU to $ 17 for it. What’s really going well for Ai Sushi besides their tamago is the variety of sushi flavors. In addition to pressed sushi, they also have rice-less rolls for those that actually take care of their waistline. Don’t worry. They still have those disgusting special rolls that are deep fried, lined with jalapenos and stuffed with guac. There is quite an assortment here, but the question is: Can you afford it?
