Great food, reasonably priced & good service. Always go here with my family & enjoy.

I have ordered online 4 or 5 times now to save time. And EVERYSINGLETIME, they have not gotten the order. And they never offer any kind of discount or extra add on to compensate. Really disappointing since they are so good. Sorry cannot validate more than a star for now. Please supermex, get your crap together!

I have been a regular customer eating at this mexican restaurant on many different occasions. Last time, the waiter brought me out right from the kitchen, a piping hot chicken enchilada combination plate with rice and refried beans. Their salsa and chips are to die for. I really the enjoyed the quality of their food. I wish the restaurant was larger as it tends to be noisy in the background when the place is full of customers.

What can you say? It’s SuperMex! The hubby and I and my bestie met for dinner one night. This is our usual go-to Mexican food restaurant. We love their sweet corn tamale(I’ve been to other SuperMex’s and you can’t find this tamale anywhere!) that has a spicy green sauce topped on it. Really good rice and beans too. Our favorite is the chicken taco — almost always included in any combo we get. We like their chips and salsa as well. The salsa has a really good flavor and has a pretty good kick to it. This visit was unlike most of the visits we’ve had. My friend asked for rice only and all beef in her items and when she looked at her plate, there was chicken and beef items and beans and rice were on her plate. Also, we felt a bit rushed to order and leave(we were given our check towards the end of the meal — still eating — and we weren’t asked if we wanted dessert). Giving them 4 stars because their service and food have been pretty good — hope this last visit was just an off day and not a trend…

Myself and a few of my co-workers ordered lunch for today on line. When it was to be picked up the order was not ready. When a complaint was made the person making the food just acted as if she was not there. Then the manager came over made some changes and gave us 10%off and a gift card. However the order was still wrong. Also the description of the burrito I ordered was to be asada with beans. It was beans with a few pieces of asada. Had I wanted a bean burrito I would have ordered a bean burrito. I won’t be asking to be included next time my co-workers order from. This place COUNTMEOUT!!!

No toilet paper in bathroom or toilet seat covers. I went to host/register and mentioned it but they just gave a blank stare. So I waited a few minutes and found Gabriel but every one just looks at each other to do something about it. We just walked out and now eating across the street at Rubios. What a waste of my time.

My review is purely for Super Mex’s take out next door to Juice it Up. 4 stars because I haven’t loved taquitos until this place. 1 star off for being pretty darn pricey for 4 chicken taquitos, rice and beans, $ 13.20 including tax. The taquitos are always crispy and perfect for dipping in their guacamole. I can live without the beans and rice but the mix is good for those who likes a heavy lunch.

Unilocal challenge 201660⁄116 Hungry, kind of late and we were in the same parking lot already. We arrived 15 minutes before closing to a almost full restaurant. Service was excellent. This is a sit down restaurant. Menus are brought out to you. Along with Tostada style chips and fresh salsa. Our chips were still warm. Our drinks were always refilled without being told. Most items on the menu are about $ 10.00 or so. The carne asada taco a la carte was in a double corn tortilla topped added cheese and with the quacamole on the side. Set me back just under $ 5.00. Kind of pricey in my opinion just for one taco. At least add some chopped onions and cilantro. But, it was yummy, especially when I added salsa. The Beast of mine had a massive burrito. He ate about ¾ of it. He liked it. Dinner for two, only because I had a taco was $ 17.00 with tax. But expect to may a little more depending on what you order. #872

Horrific food beyond words… and not cheap! I ordered the Tilapia burrito from the healthy side of the menu. It was healthy because I didn’t eat any of it & I doubt my dog would have either. How can you possibly mess up a burrito? To be fair I shouldn’t compare this fish burrito to Bear Flag which uses super fresh fish. The fish at Super Mex tasted rancid. People who don’t like fish have only eaten crud like this. I should have sent it back but I paid and left. Thumbs down. Super Mex… no, more like Super Mess.

Chorizo burrito had too much oil but best flavor I have had in Orange County lose the excessive grease and you have a winner also a little too much beans to the chorizo ratio but I can live with that if you get rid of the grease

I’ve been going to this place for years… had issues with service while the old manager was in charge who was never there .the new manager is hands on… always friendly and I have noticed the service has improved. If I ever have a concern he is always willing to listen and doesn’t make excuses… great food… good service. my go to place when I want some Mexican comfort food.

First time at Super Mex, much less the one in Cypress. Full house during lunch hour on a Friday. They have three options on their lunch special for $ 7.95. I ordered the chicken enchiladas from their lunch special, which comes with salad and fountain soda of choice. It was good but not great. Enchiladas tasted better garnished with salsa, so ask for extra salsa if low. Lettuce is a bit plain, but the shredded cheese mix is on par, and it’s good with bleu cheese dressing. Overall, Super Mex seems to be a cross between dirty but also slightly Americanized Mexican food.

This is a lunch spot I literally will lick my plate clean! Don’t believe check out my photos I posted! It all starts with massive chips that you break yourself and dip into some good old fashion homemade salsa. Be careful not to make it your meal by eating to many! Everything I’ve ordered has been great! Good flavor and nice size portions. The staff are friendly and part of a big old family. The servers help each other so your never waiting(unless it’s super busy) but even so speeds up the wait. I’m a big water drinker and they keep my glass full! Big fan of of a full glass. Great spot for business meetings with clients. Good size dining area inside and out. Word of advice get there before or after the lunch rush! The secret is out so get there earlier or wait! If you haven’t tired Super Mex head over and try it out. You won’t leave hungry!

Went back cuz it USE to be my fav. Took :40 mins to actually melt the cheese inside the enchilada. Wanna sit in the patio? Good! You can listen to the guy slamming and sliding chairs 1:15 before they close. This place fell off. Big time. Last time there. Last last.

Though I love(the very different) Taco Surf and(the very similar) El Burrito Jr, Super Mex is my favorite chain of cheap, casual Mexican restaurants. Love the tacos, burritos, chips and salsa and the Diet Coke refills. When I lived in OC, I most frequented the Cypress location. Though the Long Beach ones have better ambiance, this one, which has a one-dimensional ambiance with red-padded chairs, tile floor, bright lights, and wall-to-wall window views of the busiest parking lot in Cypress, has dependably great service.
