Coal Mountain Park

I was strictly looking for a great park for my daughter. They did have horseshoes, pavillions, restrooms, baseball fields… but I was only interested in the playground portion of the park. It was nice, but not a whole lot better than the playground that we have in our subdivision (that is not a brag on our subdivision… I’ve never thought of the playground as being over the top, but decent).
I liked that the ground was rubber and not wood chips or sand. I also liked that the playground was covered. Had we been there on a hot, sunny day, this would have been even more appreciated.
The playground was wedged between the fields and the bathrooms, and though the proximity would have thrilled me if we were taking advantage of the fields or the bathrooms, the setup left me craving a more wide open feel.
There was nothing wrong with the park and it served its purpose for sure, but if you are looking for a stellar playground to take your kids to, this isn’t going to blow your mind.
