Apparently this place been around for a while and they must of done something right. The waitress who served us was the owner’s wife. She did a great job serving us. On the other hand the food wasn’t anything special. I want to like this place but I have to be honest it was pretty bad. The panini was soggy. The burger and wings had no flavor.

I come here every time I’m in town on business. It is a great family atmosphere restaurant. Their breakfasts are killer! I will continue to come back.

Teddy’s is the local neighborhood diner in the quaint, quiet town of Cranbury. I would say the breakfast and brunch items are good, but most other food items are very average. Today I ordered the salmon burger(not sure what I was thinking). It was fine, but lots of room for improvement. I should have stuck with a brunch item, such as their French toast that I have had in the past. My friend ordered the ham and cheese omelet and was happy with it. Prices are very reasonable and they have outdoor seating for the nicer weather days. The owner and service are both friendly and nice.

This is such a cute place, with that old small town feel. The food is reasonably priced just as it is tasty. I could order their Crazen Chicken Salad everyday! MUSTTRY. All of the soups are homemade and they are finally selling them by the quart! If you are in Cranbury and looking for something to eat, this is a must try.

I have mostly been at Teddy’s for an early lunch. My favorite is Spanish Omelette with cheddar and spinach on side replaces potato’s. Eating outside on warmer weather. Relaxed dining at reasonable prices in a quaint quiet town. Go 10 minutes and spend more at The Americana. I prefer Teddy’s.

We tried this place after a year of living in the immediate area. Some people swear by this place. We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We were seated right away. Three different people tried to take our drink order before DW settled on an egg cream and I just got water. It’s great they have egg creams and DW’s came out good, but it hey had to ask around to find a staff member who knew how to make one. I ordered a corned beef omelette with egg whites. DW ordered eggs over easy with sausage links. We both got rye toast. They would not substitute anything for the home fries. Food came out quickly. DW’s eggs were cooked properly but the plump sausage links were mediocre. The corned beef was good in my omelette. The rye bread and the home fries were serviceable. I would have preferred to have fruit as a side.

We’ve lived in Cranbury for just over a year and finally made our first visit to Teddy’s a short while ago. It was like stepping back in time into a diner of yester-year. I thought the old decorations, newspaper articles on the wall, and memorabilia was so quaint and charming. The service was super friendly, and when our server found out it was our first visit here she made lots of recommendations and went above and beyond to make our visit perfect. The food was homey, delicious, and tasty comfort food — just perfect for a relaxing weekend breakfast. On the way out we had a pleasure of talking to George, Teddy’s son and the owner of the restaurant now. He was so pleasant and genuinely cared about our experience — he made us feel like regulars too! Thanks George and Teddy’s — you have made regulars out of us, for sure.

A personal favorite located in Cranbury NJ. Great breakfast with great pancakes and waffles, the best burger around for lunch and some really tasty dinners especially the Turkey dinner and home made soups.

I love going to Teddy’s! It is like going home to your moms kitchen. It is family owned and they are always there to greet you personally. The wait staff are locals and treat the customers like they are friends(bc they are), The food is very good too, always fresh! A large menu for a small establishment. The environment is Yankee vintage, filled with memorabilia, pics of family and the historic town of Cranbury. I always bring my friends and relatives there when they are visiting. and everyone loves it. At times there is live music on Friday nights(BYOB).

Quintessential Family-run NJ diner that is not lacking in charm or service. 2 eggs with Virginia Ham tasted good. Coffee was ok for diner standards. Wouldn’t be looking forward to the next visit.

To be honest, I have no idea how this place is so highly rated. I waited over a half hour now for my food and the coffee is absolutely terrible. There are people who came in after me –like 20 minutes after me– who were served before me. I ordered the creamed chipped beef. I was surprised to see it was not served on the toast. That would be ok, except the toast was heavily buttered. The result is, of course, that the dish becomes to salty from the butter. And that is ignoring the fact that I am now eating cream with butter. The home fries were pretty good, but I wish there were more. I was never offered water. The whole experience was just disappointing. There is really no reason for me to come back, not with better options right on Main Street.

We found this place while driving around Cranbury because, to our eyes, this town really looked like old and quiet American suburb. Ever since we have tried this place several times trying different dish. They serve American diner food with reasonable price. For brunch, which we went for all our visits, they serve good omelets and other stuff. The reason I add another half star(to 4 in total) is that I liked the ambience of the place. This place houses a lot of local people, making this place have very cozy atmosphere.

Eggs Benedict w Lox = $ 17.95. Eggs WAYYYYY over cooked, not runny at all. Lox way salty; not that fresh. Hollandaise from a package. Watery coffee. Prompt service. Expected for a diner. While the special I had was definitely not worth the price, other items on the menu seemed reasonably priced, but I didn’t’ sample those items. The décor is clean, quaint, almost country chic. Good ambiance. Probably not going back, but if this is your only choice, its OK.

Teddy’s is one of the least enjoyable brunch experiences I’ve had and I’m really disappointed that I made the drive to Central NJ for it. I recommended this spot as a result of all the positive Unilocal reviews, but both my friend and I agreed that there will not be a return trip in the future. The waitress was borderilne-rude to us, the food was only passable and bottom-line, this isn’t the experience other Unilocalers reported. I ordered a Vegetable Omelet with Egg Whites(with Multigrain Toast on the side). It was all right enough that I took a few bites of the food, but I was not impressed. I saw that the multigrain toast only tasted good because the melted butter was generously slathered on. My friend also said that his pancakes were very mediocre … so we kind of just pushed our food around our plates while enjoying one another’s company. Teddy’s does have a homey feel to it — as though it has been around for many years, it’s a local’s spot, etc. Maybe others come for that because they’ve been coming for a long time and have been riding the changes along with the restaurant. Sentiment definitely helps in skewing perception.

Been visiting the area for a decade and didn’t know about this place. Had lunch at Teddy’s last week with a coworker. Simple lunch diner style comfort food. I had stopped going to a nearby diner because they forgot the basics. Teddy’s will be my new regular lunch while in town had simple: soup; open hot turkey(yes real turkey breast) and rice pudding. all simple. all perfect for lunch on a cold day

I get Karmel’s puzzlement regarding the massively positive reviews of Teddy’s. The food is standard but nothing to write home about, the service is just ok and the coffee is actually pretty bad. But Teddy’s has a good vibe. It feels like the type of place that has a lot of history to it, and in a town like Cranbury it fits in pretty perfectly. They also don’t try to push you out the door. I’ve been there before just reading for a while and hanging out and no one has given me a hard time about it. If you’re looking for good eats the pizza place a few stores down is incredible. But if you’re looking for a place to hang out and just get a feel for the town that houses the best used bookstore in the world, you’re in the right place.
