Attention worldwide; if you’re trying to get a crispy fresh cut go to the barbershop and ask for «Moe» also the whole staff is friendly and easy going. Bring a couple of dollars, snacks everywhere! Ask for Moe! Ask for the Musa cut lol

So I gotta say there are plenty of good barbers at this location Danny is very good. But I gotta givuch props to Keith he really got down on my low fade and when he shaved me up with the razor, he was so smooth and professional he put me to sleep hahah. Much props to Keith. I thought I looked ok when I left the shop. Came home and realized my «taper» on the sides were completely different from one another. I just got a new job and now I got to go in looking like a total weirdo in an hour. Unilocal put my picture towards the end, I left it with the comment «I hate my haircut». Ima shave my head when I get off or after I get fired for looking like a freak.

Coming from a guy who consistently went to SportsClips and overpaid for haircuts, I had my doubts about this place. A friend had recommended this place to me saying it was the best haircut for the best price so I thought why not give it a try. My expectations were met beyond what I thought the basic routine would entail. «Stoney» was my barber and he made me feel so comfortable with the new environment I was in. We carried out a great conversation as any great barber does however I was more impressed by the haircut itself. Showing him a picture of my hair, Stoney was able to match the cut alongside with some additional improvements that really drew me to this barber shop. I can say without a doubt, this place is the best place to get your haircut done in Covina without having to pay big bucks at places like SportsClips and Fantastic Sams. Consider me a Regular!

Will not be returning to this shop ever again for a hair cut. Went in for a 1 to 2 fade with a comb over and the barber just did what they wanted since it «looked better on me» It’s my hair and I am the customer. Everytime I leave there I always have long hairs over my ears that they can never cut and they push that product so much on you to buy it. never will returning here again! Go somewhere else. be warned.

MJ contacted me about my visits and invited me back for another cut. Clean fade and clear spread. And he offered the cut for free! Awesome business conduct, think I just found my barber.

Went here about a month ago and again today. My buddy Mike gave me an amazing haircut/​shave. Hair looks clean, neat, and he takes his time to assure it all comes out great. And the cherry on top is the price. It’s very affordable for the services of a salon.
It’s a small barber shop, but they’re true professionals. They also have a variety of hair products if you’re so inclined.
Mike is definitely my go to guy from now on.

I’ve gone to MJ’s a handful of times but it has been too inconsistent for me. You can’t make appointments, so you get whoever is available at the time.
My haicut quality usually ranges from OK to Awesome. However, it wasn’t within that range this time.
I wanted a haircut before my upcoming vacation and was paired up an older Asian lady (don’t remember her name). She is extremely nice, but I was disappointed by the quality of the cut.
The lineup was bad to nonexistent, and there were many parts where my hair was sticking up on the sides. It did not seem like a clean cut at all, even though I showed the same exact picture I show to everyone at MJ’s. I even asked her to fix it a couple times.
Some of the haircuts I’ve had there came out really good, especially from Rania. Unfortunately, due to the inconsistency, I’ll be going elsewhere.

I decided to come back, since the owner, MJ, actually cared about my past bad experience. I’ve been there twice since, and had nice cuts. The girl with the tattoos — didn’t ask her name– did a nice job! Will keep on coming and up-​ing my review if service remains good.

If there was ever a time a barber mastered exactly what I wanted, this would be it! Majed (MJ) cuts hair with absolute sharpness & finesse and the finished look is so clean! I’m absolutely content with my haircut & beard line up I got here today. So much so, that I forgot I wore a hat to the barbershop & ended up leaving it behind because my cut looked so good! Lol! MJ contacted me back right away & I was able to retrieve it. Very polite & professional.
The appt making process was fairly smooth as well. I texted MJ and he was prompt in replying back to me & we scheduled an appt. I also sent him a few pics of the look I was going for & as I mentioned, he mastered it very well. Apart from that, he also has a very hospitable & pleasant demeanor, which is always a plus!
This was my first time & I’ll definitely be back.. THANK YOU!

Decided to try out MJ’s today. Got there at about 12pm. Was not busy because it’s Monday. The barber shop space is large with lots of chairs both in the waiting area in on the cutting floor /​area. Décor is hip and well coordinated. Sandra greeted me as I walked in and asked if I was there for a hair cut. I said yes so she asked me to come over and sit in her barber chair. As I sat down I told her I wanted a taper haircut. Sandra asked me some questions to make sure exactly how I wanted my haircut. She was polite yet right to the point. After a little discussion we both determined what hair cut I wanted and how short. I was very pleased with the process and outcome. Sandra made some recommendations for products I may want to try out for more fuller hair and better style hold. Yes, I’m at that age where hair loss can be a big concern. lol
I told Sandra I’ll try next time as I have some product at home. She also gave me a punch card and punched one hole. After 10 stamps I get a free haircut (upto $ 11). Yeah!
I think I will make this my new go to place for hair cuts and styles. I’ll stick with Sandra as she did a fantastic job on my fade and taper.

Update 8÷16÷16: I must commend the owner for following up with two separate apologetic emails. I didn’t take him up on the offer for a free cut because it’s out of the way for me, but I do appreciate the customer service and trying to make something right, an extra two stars were given to represent my average business experience over time.
Original: Been here three times, first time was good (think his name was Mike, or Danny) second time was barely acceptable, had to do some trimming myself when I got home to make it even… but this time… worst haircut I’ve ever had :(It was supposed to be a simple cut, longer in front to spike up, little bit shorter on top and a taper down to a buzz cut on the sides. I think he/​she (couldn’t tell which gender :/​) slipped with the buzzers and cut too far up! I’m being totally serious, it goes from a #3 to 1″ with no transition/​fade/​taper.
Long story short: I will NOT be going back NOR do I recommend anyone going here in the first place.

Nice greeting. Nice people. But.
If you are going to work in a barber shop, you need to have skills to cut all kinds of hair.
My son cried when he got in the car and when I carefully inspected his hair– oh my.
Shaved in places, uneven, longer hairs sticking out everywhere. Waaayyyy too short on top. He wanted to have some hair left to spike. Basically a step away from a crewcut.
More training is needed for this crew.
