Coupeville Library

Nice, clean library. I like how much they participate in community events. A great place to stop by, and relax.

A library done right! I’ve worked in three libraries now and am always anxious to visit other libraries to see how they do things. My husband and I came here on an adventure through Whidbey Island. This library is gorgeous inside and out. Even though it is not large they have utilized their space perfectly and have the best aspects of all the libraries I’ve visited thus far. I didn’t want to leave, ever!

I wish all libraries were like this.
I’m in Coupeville accompanying my fiancé on an off-​site job and I needed WiFi so I can do my own day’s work. After spending the morning at Caffeine Effect, I braved the winds and walked the 0.2 miles to Coupeville Library. I wish I came earlier. This place, recently renovated a couple of years ago, is so clean and cozy. I feel like I’m at a lodge in a ski resort. I’m currently sitting in an armchair in a corner of the library by floor to ceiling windows that has glimpses of the waterfront. I don’t want my fiancé to come pick me up until closing! Can’t I just work here until closing?!
WiFi is speedy, probably because the library isn’t buzzing right now. There is ample seating room from desks to comfortable armchairs. There is more than enough wall plugs for each seat — not that it’s necessary because not many people are here with their laptops. There also seems to be a fireplace here, though I’m not sure if it’s real… it probably is.
I doubt I’ll find myself back in Coupeville anytime soon, but if I do, I know where I’d want to spend my day doing work!
