Quality Inn & Suites

I was disappointed with the service here at this Not so Quality Inn. When I checked in this morning, I brought up coffee upon my departure. The 2 young ladies like the many other Quality Inn hotels I stay in accommodated. Upon my check out… I asked the man at the front desk named John about the fresh coffee… He said he was too busy. How’s that for Quality service? Because of that, I’d say I won’t ever be coming back to this hotel & I’ll also bring the corporation I work for up to speed on there non service to one of the customers that helps keep them in business. I recommend NOT staying here till this John person is removed from his position of auditor. So, he said he was doing when, I asked for coffee.

This is an older property undergoing renovation. Our room was clean and pleasant smelling. There was a new refrigerator and microwave that worked beautifully. There were minor misses in repainting the bathroom like the painter got interrupted. When we checked out, we told the front desk clerk about the maintenance issues we noticed so they could fix them. They noted the issues; they can’t fix things if guests don’t nicely report issues. Housekeeping cleans and concentrates on their part of the job.
We’ve been traveling for a week and this was the best hotel breakfast we’ve had all week. It was hot and fresh and not overcooked. They even had salsa for the scrambled eggs The breakfast room attendant kept it tidy and everything filled. The coffee was hot and welcoming. Hot water was available for tea. Juices were cold cranberry and orange.
There is an indoor heated pool which looked clean and which families with children were clearly enjoying. It did tend to increase humidity in the hallway, however.

Oh boy, where do I start.
Found ourselves here for a business trip (I’m really lucky and get to travel to exotic places for work). Upon entering my room, I noticed a very strong smell of mildew. So strong, in fact, the clothes I wore to my meeting the next day stunk of it. My laptop bag STILL smells like it. They don’t have a fitness center (so me bringing my workout clothes were a complete waste!) But they do have a disgusting looking indoor pool if that is your thing.
Even though they don’t offer a complimentary breakfast, they are conveniently located next to a Village Inn (I ate dinner AND breakfast here) and the Razzle Dazzle strip club. Two stars for what I believe is a stellar location in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
