Where do I begin? I’ve come here for years and I go there 3 times a week! Erik is a cool dude, Elvia is the absolute sweetest! I don’t think I need to write much more! Steve

Wahoo’s is the best comfort food. This spot is me and my boyfriend’s go-to when I don’t feel like cooking. He ALWAYS orders the chicken enchiladas, while I alternate between the Banzai bowl, Maui bowl, and the Wahoo’s salad. When we feel like dropping a bit more money, we’ll get an appetizer or two as well. I prefer the chicken tacquitos or their fries– cooked to order and soooooo freakin’ good! If you’re looking for comfort food, then you’ve found your spot. Service is always quick and friendly. I love Wahoo’s!

Decent tacos. Will give another shot. Try the burrito with carnitas or steak. Great place for the family

In 1986 I took my first surf trip to Baja and discover street fish tacos. I thought someone needs to bring these to SoCal! Thank Wing Lam for all the years of the best fish tacos bar none since 1988…

Power Chopper Salad … Ive lost 80 plus pounds since December, finding low calorie yet satisfying meals has become my life mission. I find myself at Wahoos at least 3 times a week. The power chopper salad is low calorie and packs a nice filling punch. Sometimes I add the fish from one taco, but many times the salad alone is all it takes to make a smooth hold over till dinner. All the Wahoos are pretty consistent including the parking lots.(oops) this one can get tight so prepare to spend an extra minute or two for a spot. Prices are good, the food is fresh and filling, the service is great and the environment is really casual and layed back. Think surf shack environment. Like I said Im at one of the Wahoos 3 or 4 days a week and have been known to do lunch and dinner here. Check them out if you never have and may be Ill see you there.

I always give this place 5 stars but today I am not a happy camper. I came in and bought 2 kale salads and the food was good and I always came here because it was the freshest place. But as I was walking to go get some lime on the side of the soda machine i almost slipped and fell because they were bleaching and cleaning the. floors but the did not have a sign to beware of the floor begin wet I didn’t know and I was wearing flip flops so I hurt my toe and the nail of my toe is now bleeding because I used and tired my foot to not slip and fall and my ankle and my toe took the damage. I told them that I almost fell and hurt myself and told them they need to put there sign up and they only said okay and that was it and they never put the wet floor sign up. I did not get to enjoy my meal because I got hit by a car 8 mounths ago and my body is still trying to heal and because of me almost falling it hurt my back from jerking to try to not fall, a bloody toe nail, and no one caring about what happened to me or caring about any of the other customers from falling due to them not putting the sign out even after I told them to and they just kept cleaning. I am very upset and in pain.

What can I say? Wahoos is such an easy go to for delicious healthy fish tacos. My kids and I love it here. We love to look at all the crazy stickers and always leave with some of our own. My only complaint is that someone took down my «Ted Nugent for President» sticker ;0 Great food Great service Great value

I’ve never had a bad experience at any Wahoo’s, but I really like this location. Olga and the other ladies are always friendly, the food comes quickly, and this one is never too crowded.

We love Wahoos!!! We always pack a bag of card games and tic TAC toe, and go with our 6 and 8 year old! They love playing games, enjoying yummy food and spending quality time with mom and dad! And, we love that their are vegetarian options!

I have an interesting relationship with this(the original Wahoo’s). I friend brought me here in the 80’s, and having just moved from the Midwest, I just didn’t get it. Fast forward a few years, I developed a taste for Mexican food, and tried it again, and could believe how good it was. The spicy fish, either in a sandwich, or as a salad(with cilantro dressing) is terrific. The order system is unlike other places, you can order with your choice of proteins, chicken, fish, beef, or pork. The food is very fresh, they make most everything in house, daily. I’m happy that Wahoo’s is doing so well, it’s nice to have them other locations around Southern California.

I had the bonsai bowl with tofu. It was delicious. Wahoos offers some healthier options, which is unique for a chain Mexican place.

This place is the best! My husband always gets #1 fish no green sauce, my son gets the kids fish bowl. The food is always super, and the staff is super friendly!

Just recently found out about this location, I usually go to the one on Bristol. I came to this location after a day at the beach, arrived around 8pm, since they close at 9pm, I ordered my favorite Screaming Burrito, wet style with their green sauce, u can never go wrong with this, I am always satisfied whenever I order this amazing burrito, they are just that good!!! I also just found out they have an app u can download and earn points whenever u eat there!!! I should have know awhile back so I could earn points and get some free tacos or something. I will definitely be back next time.

Wahoos is such great quality food run by a great owner who has unparalleled passion for his business. My whole family raves about the shrimp burrito, always been a huge hit amongst my fellow guests. I stick with the Maui bowl and teriyaki bowl. Simple and delicious

Wahoo’s is a Newps and HB surf culture favorite. I received a couple Free Taco coupons from clients and hadn’t been in a while so I decided to try these new Citrus Slaw Tacos. Ambience is just what you would expect, super lax and beach feel. You can enjoy a refreshing beer or three with your tacos, and seating is not a problem. My regular taco is just your typical carne asada taco for 2.79 you get what you pay for. The new citrus slaw taco on the other hand I would order again. The zesty slaw instead of regular lettuce is crisp and adds more flavor to what normally would be an average taco. I dig this place for the no frills, laid back and good vibe. Staff was super courteous and checked up on me. If I didn’t have to go back to work I’d enjoy a few more tacos and some beers to wash it down for an even better time!

Came here for lunch because I was craving their chargrilled chicken bowl. I often ordered this while working near the Tustin location and was happy to find one in Newport Beach. I called in my order and it was ready to pick up in less than 10 minutes. I usually order this with extra salsa on the side. I prefer 3 – 4 extra salsas, but I kept it at two this time. The chicken bowl tasted a bit bland. I’m not sure if it is because it lacked all the extra salsa I am used to or if it was just missing something this one particular time. Nonetheless it was lacking and I was very disappointed. Portion was great since I had enough to eat for lunch the next day and service was wonderful, but taste just wasn’t there. I guess I’ll stick with the other location.
