Sara has the kind of infectious energy that leads you to take advantage of her considerable skill as a Pilates instructor. Because I have Osteoporosis, my PT team advised me to work on strengthening my bones through Pilates. Sara has worked with them to understand what limitations I have and the result is that my last bone density has shown a marked improvement in bone mass. Aside from the fact that her classes are fun, Sara matches her clients’ level of ability and strength so that you get pushed but never get pushed too far. I have never been stronger. Picking up my grandchildren used to put my body at risk. Now with my ABs«alive» I can pick them up without worrying. I recommend Sara Kerbs without reservation to anyone who wants to kick their energy and fitness up.

Sara is an amazing instructor and has helped me transform my body from flab to fit! She has helped me advance my skill and strength over the past year and half. Plus she is fun! My chiropractor recommended Sara for Pilates classes and I have been a loyal follower for 8 months. Sara’s philosophy is a «pilates workout», so its not for the faint of heart, you work up a sweat and get great results. Sara is very knowledgeable and has great experience. I had my first Pilates session with Sara about 4 months ago and I was blown away. I’ve been visiting Essential Balance Physical Therapy(where she operates out of) as a patient for nearly 2 years and had met Sara there. I have been visiting EBPT for treatment related to a severe skateboard accident I was involved in in August of 2008. It was recommended to me that I…*ahem*… strengthen my core *cough*… so I decided to give Pilates a try again. I had received private instruction previously at a Pilates studio in Novato but hadn’t really«clicked» with it. My experience with Sara however made the proverbial light switch go on as she was much better able to accommodate my previous injuries(spinal herniation of L3&L4, severe left foot injury, left & right shoulder dislocations) and she has an highly intuitive way of working with her clients. She is friendly and fun and EXTREMELY professional at the same time. Her ability to keep you amused while she’s kicking your ass makes the hard work of getting in shape SO much easier! I would HIGHLY recommend her as a Pilates instructor. She has 3 full size Pilates machines available to her so she can accommodate small classes(be aware that private Pilates lessons are ESSENTIAL for those who have low or no experience doing Pilates: form is VERYVERY important!) and she has a full host of other quality equipment with which to train you. Having Essential Balance in the same office, it makes for a one stop-shop body repair clinic!

As a doctor of chiropractic, I feel that my standards are often unusually high for pilates and like kind therapies. I can sincerely say that Sara Kerbs has a unique skill in working with special spinal-needs clients. I have 100% confidence in her abilities, and she is the only pilates instructor that I refer my patients to for core stabilization and rehab. She has extensive experience in this area, and an in-depth knowledge of how far she can push a person before the exercise becomes too much for them. She’s results based, but conservative and knowledgable. And a pretty nice person too! I also see her for pilates myself, and her fitness based pilates have helped me stay strong and fit.
