I will not buy honey anywhere else. There is no comparison. They give free samples, so it’s best to do some tasting to see what pleases your palate. The cactus honey is my absolute favorite!

The best raw, organic honey I have ever had. I enjoy going to the marketplace and seeing such a nice person as Big Papa. and he is so friendly. And the peanuts are so warm and tasty. If you haven’t been out there, you should go. You will enjoy it.

Roland Bennett, aka Big Papa, has been selling at the Corona Farmers Market for a long time. And I have to say, he is our favorite vendor. He sells only two products. Honey(raw) and peanuts. Mr. B worships his peanuts. And he always has a basket of peanuts set out for you to taste. He is the master of roasting… always done on site so they are beautifully tender, never overdone, and still fragrant and hot. Yum! And it is nice to see he is doing well. A real testament to his greatness, he recently appeared on the Corona Farmers Market scene with a brand new, made to order trailer, emblazened with his business name. His setup now includes a beautiful black and white awning for customer comfort, space for all his roasting equipment, and custom made shelves for his honey products. And, God bless him, air conditioning primarily for his own creature comforts, especially when those hot Corona summer days become unbearable. If he was a nice, friendly guy before, which he definitely was, he is now sublimely happy. And it sure doesn’t hurt his products. We are so happy for his success. This is an invitation to come down and give his wares a try. You can find him at the following farmers markets: Friday: 9 am to 1pm in Mission Viejo Civic Center Saturday: 8:30am to 12:30pm in Corona Sunday: 10am to 2pm in Irvine at the Great Park(the landmark is the hot air balloon near the El Toro Marine Base)
