after waiting in line for better than 5 minutes for the cashier to free up, I placed my goods on her table when the lady in front of me finished her conversation with the cashier. The cashier had earlier«winked» at another lady in the OTHER line, so when it was my turn to finally check out, she told me that the other lady had been waiting longer. I told her to stick what I was going to purchase and left. If Steinmart wishes to operate like banks and the airports operate, then I suggest they install some sort of dividers, or a rope on poles directing customers to form one line. What she did was absolutely rude, Personally, I will never darken there door again. I’m sure the $ 100 in goods I was about to buy wont hurt them one bit, but just how many people will I tell this story too? Hum???

Love the linen, clothing and kitchenware. I pounce when they coupon in the CA. Most of the time I don’t find anything that a Dallas society matron would find too plain… but score big when the sequins and bling are not added.

This place is really not a place I should shop at but I tried it out anyway since it was right next to Marshalls. I found a nice church/work dress on sale and that made me happy. They have alot of clothes that are more fitting for the jazzy 30s, maybe 40s woman and up that doesnt mind spending money on glitzy southern country clothes. I saw alot of pretty jewelry but I dont like to spend too much on costume jewelry. $ 9.99-$ 15.99 is too much for me when places like Forever have similar jewelry for $ 4.80. But its definitely a great place to buy something formal if you are going to a wedding or birthday party or whatever.

Stein Mart is a lot like a T.J. Maxx, but a few notches up in selection. I really liked the wallet/purse selection — everything is usually at least half off of what it normally is. I purchased a BPA-free cute water bottle for when I’m going to pretend to work out for only five bucks. They also have a nice selection of throw blankets, a substantial selection of ladies’ clothing, but my favorite section is the jewelry. Man, I love the jewelry, and they have a great selection of really cute things. Some stuff looks kind of cheap, but there’s plenty that is super-cute and would make affordable gifts for the lovely ladies in your life.
