solid 3.5 stars so after seeing an AD about Beijing Brothers and Peking Duck we decided to go with our friends on a Sunday evening. I guess is that they recently partnered with Sake Fish b/c you won’t see Beijing Brothers anywhere look for SAKEFISH!!! we were told they’re out of ducks on the phone and upon arrival but they do have the peking duck noodles. so from what we can see they do offer a pretty authentic Peking Duck full on with presentation and cutting/serving at the table… this was TORTURE b/c we can see but can’t eat it =( our friends have been in here before and they said the sushi was decent… so we ordered salmon nigiri, scallop nigiri and sweet shrimp… salmon was good fresh but size was normal not big or small… scallop good size(2 on each piece I think) but they put mayo or some kind of sauce on top… it was fresh… sweet shrimp was a bit small and the head they put eel sauce =(not that good… and size wasn’t that big. then we ordered veggie steam dumplings, scallion pancake, spicy wonton(hon yo chao zhou) to split, our friends got the beef soup noodle and the duck noodle… and wifey and I got the duck noodle to share. Now if the duck in these noodles is the same as their peking duck we’re definitely returning… it was crispy on the outter skin and the meat was very juicy and tender to bite!!! yum!!! noodles was hand made or machine made to simulate handmade it was very good(Q texture), the spicy wonton was made in house I believe by the taste of it… I wish it had more sauce and comes in a bowl with more wonton but the taste was very good! I was impressed!!! not often one can find good HONYOCHAOZHOU in Dallas!!! but it was $ 9 for I think 10 pieces. kind of pricey usually it’s about $ 5 – 7 avg since it’s really an appetizer not enough as an entrée… veggie steam dumpling was ok kids seems to like it but it didn’t impress me. *tip* the Happy Hour price is decent from the look of menu(it doesn’t specify what day) but it’s Monday — Friday only =(so we paid full price for our draft Sapporo but it’s ok b/c it tasted great! they do have asahi and kirin on tab as well which is awesome! the Peking Duck must be ordered in advance like 2 – 3 days prior to dinning. wait might be a bit long before they work out the merge in business and orders could be forgotten or mixed up but they were very friendly and speedy on refills and questions so so biggy solid 3.5 stars at the moment… –0.5 for having to pre-order the Peking Duck =(b/c we didn’t get to eat it…-1 stars sauce on nigiri sushi and sweet shrimp head

We ordered chirasi and sushi were not fresh at all. Specailly tamago was gone bad. So we complained and they said they would replace with something else and they say they was going to give me a discount but he didn’t give us nothing and then I get a check we got only $ 1 discount.

Beijing Brothers is the best! They recently partnered with Sake Fish, and they feature an authentic Peking Duck combo followed with wraps, steamed dumplings and wontons! The guy who makes the duck has catered for Bill Clinton before, so it’s definitely worth a taste! It’s $ 58 in total, which was worth the price. Only fault was that the duck plate was not as much as we expected, and the other side items seemed to be much more fulfilling. Overall great meal, definitely would recommend and be back!

First time there. My son recommended. Hesitant at first. We religiously go to Blue Ocean, but didn’t feel like spending $ 120 tonight. Ordered the Sashimi dinner for $ 30. Lots of fish. Very good and fresh and nicely presented. Cash the owner helped us to find a good sake and Chardonnay for my wife. The place is in a strip center but nicely arranged and comfortable so don’t expect a fancy décor. The Peking duck smelled wonderful and everyone was ordering it. I will be ordering that my next trip in. If you sushi reasonably priced I recommend Sake Fish.

What’s great is that Cash can handle the expert sushi eater and the virgin, all at once! It was a treat to have him explain the various nuances. When a first time sushi eater tries Uni and loves it, you are doing it right! Overall, it’s all good and good folks serving you like family!

My girlfriend and I decided to try them out since they were open on Christmas day. Very friendly staff, chill atmosphere, and good food. I ordered the Louisiana and Shakig Dog Roll. They were not that busy obviously but still didn’t make the visit awkward. The kitchen brought out a complimentary salad and dumpling. Nice touch. The rolls were awesome! Great taste and plenty of meat inside the roll. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars, we waited about 20+ minutes for our rolls to come out and there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant. Not mad at them though, food is art.

The grilled mackerel was a nice deviation from the usual fish. Salty and full of flavor. In Cash’s own words, «it is good for drink.»

I went here late on a Thursday. The restaurant was not that busy which was what we were looking. It was my birthday and I wanted to have a relaxing evening. We sat at the bar in front of the owner as he made the sushi himself. We asked him to make whatever he wanted as long as it was not fried and didn’t have cream cheese. The fish was fresh and melted in our mouths. When he found out it was my birthday he hooked it up with a bottle of sake. He was a lot of fun. It was a great evening.

We went in on Friday night at 11:30 pm, we were the only ones in the restaurant and the owner/chef Cash was very friendly and served us well prepared sushi. The spicy tuna roll was delicious and best of all, we could enjoy the spices. We will definitely be back for more.

We are SO happy we found this place. Cash is THE best! So friendly and knowledgable. He doesn’t just make sushi, he makes sushi ART! He will let you know what is fresh and good that day, just let him work his magic and you will not be disappointed. We love coming here and we will continue to stop by to say hello to cash even if we move away from the area.

Chef/Owner Cash really makes this restaurant special. I went with a couple colleagues tonight and he waited on us personally and gave us the run-down on what he had fresh. In particular, he had a fresh Mackerel caught this morning in Hawaii. He diced it with some fresh ginger and it was fantastic. His other Sashimi offerings were also fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared.

We left this place feeling robbed. The food was so disappointing and bland. I literally has to add soy sauce to my miso ramen and my tempura sauce to get some flavor and to top it off the waiter didn’t asked me what type of meat I wanted with my miso ramen but he decided to choose my meat for me when the chef asked him what meat goes with the miso ramen just so he didn’t look stupid to the owner(idiot). Also, note to the chef/owner why even open a Japanese’s restaurant when you don’t even know what is katsudon and tonkatsu is! He has the nerves to say Katsudon is the one without the egg instead of him telling us he made a mistake(bad move). WEKNOWTHEDIFFERENTANDKATSUDONISMYHUSBANDFAVORITEDISH! I DONOTRECOMMENDTHISPLACETOANYONE unless you want to eat bland food for 50.00! Seriously so DISAPPOINTING!

I came here with one of my girl friends, and we literally overindulged ourselves. We both love sashimi, so we ordered salmon, yellowtail, albacore, mackerel, and a Spanish fish that was he had special ordered for a customer and he had extra of. Everything was delicious and very fresh, except the Spanish fish, which seemed to began smelling. The owner who was also our chef and waiter was very helpful and funny. Each entrée he brought he made in a different style using his homemade fresh wasabi sauce, which I didn’t care for too much. I really liked the way he made the chili sauce. I would definitely come back here, and probably order less, but I know it will be very tasty.

I met the infamous sushi chef/owner, Cash who is a man that makes you instantly like him as soon as he greets you. He was more than helpful, hard-working and cares deeply that his patrons enjoy their dining experience. Since I only had time for a quick lunch, I decided to try their Tonkotsu ramen. He said he makes the broth in house, which takes about 13 – 15 hours. The end result was that the broth did taste surprisingly good. It wasn’t too salty but had that almost slightly creamy and buttery taste to it that made it delicious on its own. My issue was with the pork slices, fish cake and cabbage that accompanied the soup. The pork tasted a bit old and didn’t melt in my mouth like how I wanted it to. And the cabbage was just something I wasn’t a fan of. It didn’t add anything to it for me. But that’s just my personal taste. The fish cake was fish cake. Bright pink and swirly like it always is. Also, the egg is hard boiled. I’m sure if you wanted it soft-boiled, Cash could hook you up, no problem. I truly see potential here and will come back to give the place another shot, especially during their happy hour(I think it begins around 4:30?).

I am not one to really write reviews but I signed up for an account on here just to write about Sake Fish. I live really close to Sake Fish and I remember when it was first opening I had a thought that maybe I should go there to check it out. I didn’t expect much but if it was decent it would give me a good local option to go to. Now, I have been a sushi eating person since I was a little kid with our family most of the time going to Royal Tokyo on Greenville back before a fire took them out. I have struggled since then to find a place with as good of a quality and sort of floated around between ok to decent places. So I walked in with no real expectations and was floored by the quality on offer here. The fish is almost always top quality and delicious, the sushi rice, which is just as important as the fish, is dead on target, and everything else Cash does is top notch as well. I have since become a regular and have had everything from the amazing sushi, hamachi kama, ramen, teriyaki, etc. The quality is among the best you will find at a price that won’t destroy your bank account. I also recommend getting something such as a spicy salmon hand roll which is mixed in with his own spicy sauce which he refuses to give me the recipe for which is fair enough. I swear he could bottle that stuff and sell it in a store. I would buy a case load. The point is you should for sure give this place a try if you have an urge for sushi. I know we all get stuck in our ruts and like to go to our established places but if you give this place a try you will be glad you did. Cash will take good care of you and lead you to sushi nirvana. Especially highly recommended are the salmon and sea bass as well as any of the kama.

Was a bit wary walking into the resturant on a Saturady night with only one party but man was I impressed. I ordered the agadashi tofu, salmon sashimi and the crunchy roll. Let me start with the agadashi tofu, it was 4 large squares of tofu deep fried with sauce on the bottom of the plate, while not the best I’ve had it was definitly a steal at only $ 4 for 4 large pieces(which was part of the reason I ordered it was cause the price was so reasonable), the meal came with hot delicious miso soup and savory pickeled cumcumber salad. Salmon sashimi, I was a bit confused on why the salmon sashimi was $ 12 but went with it, after they placed down my beautiful plate I understood why. The salmon sashimi is 5 pieces of regular salmon sashimi and then another 5 pieces of delicious toro. The sushi chef plated the salmon into a beautiful flower, and the toro had really pretty cuts made into it. The sashimi was super fresh, the toro was buttery and I inhaled this plate so fast. Highly recommend everyone getting this! Crunchy roll, the description of the roll was two pieces of shrimp tempura rolled with avocado and topped with three types of fish egg, temupura flakes and eel sauce. If you like everything that is listed in the roll GOFORIT. I love fish eggs and this roll was delicious. The way to eat this roll(without everything falling off) I recommend picking up a piece of the roll and placing it on the spoon. Then when you eat it off the spoon, none of the fish eggs will fall off and you’ll get everything in one bite. At the end of the meal the chef gives you a half of an orange that has already been cut up and poked with a toothpick for easy access. The specials had live scallops and uni listed which I would like to try next time. This resturant also has happy hour(two rolls for $ 7) all day Monday & Tuesday and 4:30– 7(not sure when it ends) but can’t wait to try it out. This place is really good quality for an extremely reasonable price, can’t wait to come back!
