Maximum Image by Sue

I had a pedicure here last week and loved it. I was very suprised to see the negative review on pedicures and wonder if a big part was the style of pedicure. The fanciest pedicure I’ve ever had was in SoHo in NYC and they did it just like Sue (actualy Sue was better) — in that they had comfy arm chairs and personal footbaths but the bit plastic row of chairs you see in most «drive thru» salons is more common. I guess that’s personal taste but I prefer the more relaxed comfortable atmosphere. Sue had great attention to detail, did way more steps than normal, extra scrubs, choice of hand or electric buffing, great massage. She’s also very friendly and accomodating even last minute. I’d defintiely come back here.

I have been coming here for years to get facials. Even when living far away I would try to book and appointment when I would come back to visit family in the area. Sue is talented, knowledgeable and fantastic with my very sensitive skin. She is always accommodating with appointments and prompt in returning emails or phone calls. She gives excellent recommendations for how to better care for your skin and sells nice products. I have had a very positive experience with every facial and feel the prices are very reasonable for reliable and excellent service. I am sad to see a rather negative review, but can’t speak to the nail services.

I tried this salon as I’m new to town and they sent me a coupon for a free manicure. I decided to get a pedicure as well. The manicure was fine — — the same as most manicures I’ve received. The pedicure was another story.
First of all, she filled a foot bath of water for soaking my feet! Yes, a foot bath. As in those $ 20 tubs that plug into the wall and vibrate. She left the pedicure room and went out to help another customer while my feet soaked. And soaked. And continued soaking. When she was ready to shape my nails, trim the cuticles and put the polish on, she propped my foot on her knee! Needless to say, I was somewhat grossed out by the pedicure. The manicure was fine.
I feel bad giving this a negative review since the woman was very nice, but I think I’ll try other places before coming back here for my manicures. Definitely won’t be back for pedicures.
