Food here I feel is a hit or miss and inconsistent. Its not bad at all, you just never know if it is going to be GREAT or just good.

Great place to get a quick bite for a reasonable price! I really enjoy the veggie burrito, chicken taquitos, and their tacos!

Love the fish tacos here & the California burrito which at first I was skeptical to try but I’m glad I did !

Good place to pick up a quick burrito. I really enjoyed their vegetarian burrito and their mild salsa is delicious! The hot salsa on the other hand did not taste good at all. This isn’t my favorite Mexican food place but I would come here if I’m near the area. The staff was friendly.

I love the steak tacos plate and the mild salsa. Such good flavors! I always pre-order and just pick up and the have my food ready in 10 – 15 minutes every time. Very nice family owned business with good service.

Hands down the best vegetarian burrito in town… yes they actually put vegetables in it unlike most Mexican restaurants that think lettuce, corn, rice and beans are enough. That to me is just a non meat burrito. This place puts various vegetables in depending on what is available… zucchini is a great addition as well as carrots, onion and I’ve even seen potatoes added on occasion besides the basic beans rice, avocado and dour cream. Their occasional staff change at register was disappointing due to rather stoic and not so friendly as in the past but I won’t discount stars for that as maybe it is just me.

The menu you have posted is really outdated. We paid $ 10. more than we had calculated, so it would be helpful if you could update at least once a year. The food was good but not as good as one of the sister Cinco De Mayo restaurants. One person in our party found a pretty good sized bone in her chicken burrito. This could happen anywhere but some may be turned off by it.

Absolutely delicious! They are very kind and courteous as well. I order the veggie burrito and sometimes forget to ask for black beans instead of the regular beans(which aren’t vegan) and the awesome chick upfront reminds me I want black beans instead. She is so sweet! Their salsa is good enough to drink like juice, haha. If you try Cinco you will become a regular. Oh yeah, try their bean dip!

We went to Cinco de Mayo for burritos before a movie last Friday(7÷17÷15). I went to finish my bean and cheese burrito today and in the first bite I found a bonafide PEBBLE!!!(see picture) No damage to my teeth, thank goodness, but safe to say my family and I are no longer planning on patronizing this place. Gross.

I’m on the fence about this place. Sometimes it’s great, sometimes not so much. I guess it depends on who’s in the kitchen.

Food is okay, service is bad. Showed up at 8:50 to get beans and rice after a swim meet, but they said they were closed … Sign says open until 9… Fail! We won’t be back

Our family ate here last week because we had picked up a few Bean & Rice burritos for our kids to eat at the Pool across the way a while back, and the kids said the burritos were good. This time I ordered a Chicken Burrito that was not very good at all. The ‘refried’ beans were runny. The chicken was not shredded, just 2 big pieces stuck in the burrito. I paid extra for Sour Cream and didn’t taste any until the last few bites. My spouse ordered a steak tostada and said the steak was very chewy. The food was just mediocre. The prices were OK. I don’t think we will give it another try.

Reasonable prices, decent food. They microwave their nachos which is really disappointing. I got the nachos to go most recently, and they microwaved them INTHESTYROFOAM. Not good. Their carnitas are the only reason I go back. Probably don’t get the nachos to go unless you want a side of cancer.

Great veggie burritos! Not super accommodating so make sure to order off of the menu but great food regardless!

Great food, great price. It could be a bit cleaner, but its not bad. Since its right next to a high school and middle school, it is usually full of noisy teens from 3−4pm.

My husband found this spot while driving around and called me to meet him for lunch; I was not impressed. The food was good, customer service was great but it just didn’t have that Mexican flavor. Today we were driving back from Discovery Bay and DH had a headache because he was hungry so I decided to stop here since they were fast last time. What a huge surprise when I tasted the tacos!!! I ordered 4 total for the two of us, 2 Asada &2 Carnitas. We got two large drinks, paid about $ 13 it included a basket of chips and salsa from the salsa bar. Will definitely come back again!!!

Yummy tacos! BF and I popped in here on a Monday at lunchtime and ordered 4 tacos, 2 soft with shredded beef and two crispy with chicken. We were provided a basket of chips upon request, and dished up from the salsa bar. The chips and salsa were almost gone by the time our food arrived, which was maybe 3 – 4 minutes — fresh hot chips, and tasty salsa with some kick! I also saw while we ordered a pot full of tomatillos reducing alongside a large pot of rice on the stove. So the other reviewer who said nothing was made fresh, you are most definitely wrong. Crispy tacos were hot hot hot, served deep-fried style and jam packed with chicken, lettuce and cheese. Everything was yummy! The chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy, but just a touch bland so adding some salsa to the taco completed it perfectly. BF’s soft tacos with shredded beef were killer — the marinated beef was delicious, and they come loaded with meat and toppings to the point where they are served flat, and BF thought for a moment he was being served a salad! Double corn tortillas to hold everything together, just delicious. $ 8 for 4 tasty tacos hit the spot, and I will definitely return to tour the menu more!

So we came to this area to try another local spot, and although the food at the other place was good, we definitely weren’t satisfied hunger wise. It’s a very small place, with maybe ten to twelve tables inside and two outside. On the tables outside were two young children playing and I can only assume that they are children of an employee. A little distracting when trying to eat. We didn’t want a huge meal, something small so we both ordered two tacos. Mine were beef soft tacos. They had three different options for beef too. Shredded beef, ground beef and steak. I went with shredded myself but all three sounded good. I also asked for chips, which I do at every Mexican place I try. Home made chips with home made salsa, awesome. We get our food and at first I thought they made a mistake because mine looked like a salad. It was not I assure you. My two tacos were just piled with lettuce and sprinkled with cheese. The tacos were amazing though. The beef had so much flavor and juice was just dripping from one end of the taco. Four simple ingredients: Tortilla, beef, lettuce and cheese, and it was phenomenal. Definitely want to come back and explore the menu more.

People need to manage their expectations. This is the sort of taqueria that’s absolutely ubiquitous in Tucson, where I’m from. As in Tucson, this is straight Sonoran food. What does that mean? Not a lot of cheese, not a lot of sour cream, and rice isn’t stuffed into every burrito. This place hits a sweet spot for me. Breakfast burrito has beans, chorizo and eggs. And that’s all that should be in there. If you’re weird enough to order platters, or anything more complicated than three items inside a tortilla, you’re probably also the sort of person who wonders why Burger King won’t cook your Whopper medium rare. Look around. Pedro Infante, Emiliano Zapata stare back. Working class heroes both. And that’s what you get here. Working class food. I will certainly return.
