Stopped by for a late Saturday lunch. The inside is pretty small, plus they were packed so it was extra small. They serve homemade chips which is most definitely a plus, and they also have a decent size salsa bar with great, homemade salsas. I ordered 3 basic chicken tacos. I love that they have three different types: grilled, shredded, and I want to say BBQ. I went for the grilled. The tiny tacos were back with a lot of chicken, salsa, but other usual taco goodies. The chicken was out of this world. This goes to prove that there is no shortage of amazing taco places around.

My favorite place to eat Mexican food. Dine-in and take out, both are great. Really nice salsa bar with jardinière, fruit cocktail, and grilled onions along with the salsas and jalepenos and lime wedges. Super nachos, taco salad, chile verde, chimichangas, señor burritos, all my favorite go-to’s there. The service is always efficient and pleasant.

New management but same great food. I’m a gringo so the burritos, enchiladas and tacos are good enough for me. Regulars love the menudo and seafood cocktail things. Good flavors and they’ll customize most anything. Salsa bar has the chopped cactus salsa that I love and a bunch of other things to add to your dish. Salsas: smooth and chunky. Veggies. Everything is fresh. Varying degrees of salsa spiciness. The building is a cool, retro, brick, old Taco Bell. Patio seating for the sunny, warm days. Plenty of seating inside. I’m never the only customer but it’s never really crowded. A steady stream of customers keep this place going. The chorizo is a bit sweet, rather than spicy. I get a lot of food to go and it’s always more than I can eat. Ordered 2 chicken tacos, a la carte and dine in, the other day and received the tacos on a plate with shredded lettuce, sour cream and a tomato piled on top. I just moved it all to the side. Had 2 good tacos with a side salad. Nice! Ordered a grilled chicken quesadilla to go, awhile back, and it had enough cheese to clog an artery! After peeling away the excess cheese, it was actually a really good quesadilla. This place is in my daily work route so I stop in a few times a month. It’s a satisfying meal.

Super cheap working class joint with great food. Buche and lengua tacos were excellent and yummy carne asada burrito. Free chips and salsa with order. Salsa bar.

This place got better, apparently new ownership? It used to taste good but made me bloat up afterwards but now it just tastes good. Carnitas is the bomb. Veggie nachos delish, place gets busy, theyre pretty quick, but i usually order a beer and wait for take out. keep it up amigos,

The name has changed from Taqueria Los Gallos Express, but it is pretty much the same restaurant, as far as I can tell. Same chips, same salsa bar, same décor, same menu, same food(taste and quality), same prices, and same friendly faces. Food is delicious — this is our go-to spot for Mexican food on most nights because it’s close by and open late. Love their pico de gallo and fruit salsa, and yummm carne asada nachos always hits the spot.
