I come here frequently. Service is ok, food is good. Only thing is they really have to do something about the transient activity. You have a young hispanic dude who is all strung out and dirty who comes at you in the line. He is intrusive and will hound you if you don’t give him change. Once he almost put his whole head in my window asking why I don’t have change. I wanted to roll up my window on his head. Then as you advance to the pay window another fat black dude will harrass you about money or buying him a drink. Sometimes it’s a lady too with her gut all out. It irritates my soul, I get stuff happens and people end up in messed up situations but these people seriously have no manners. They try to intimidate you into giving them your hard earned $.

I’m giving this place 4 stars because the chicken honestly needs a bit more flavor because it can be on the bland side at times. Other than lackluster flavor of the chicken, they have a 2 piece special with fries and a roll for $ 3.99 which is everyday. So if you are on a budget, get your hungry ass down to Louisiana!

My Order– #13 which was a 3pc {catfish} meal. Fries a dinner roll and a drink came with the meal. (I had a choice in picking Catfish or Red snapper) Had to wait 8mins because they cooked my fish right when I ordered it. –There wasn’t a Line when I placed my order. — I was told to park until my meal was ready(8mins) — I didn’t mind waiting. This Location is ran by Cambodians {I Adore their culture) i believe they’re family as well. Their Customer Service to me is always Respectful to their customers. And I will always be a Customer here.

I visited this location for a breast, fries and roll. I was quoted $ 4.99. The location on University and Avalon charged $ 3.83 for the same meal. When I asked the employee at the drive thru window why the large price difference, she rudely told me «yea, each place has a different owner!» I told her never mind and she rudely closed the glass in my face. University is cheaper, the service is better and the chicken is fresher. I will no be returning to Compton. Sad, why rip people off when they are already struggling to make it. The rude behavior is not necessary.

This must be the best fried chicken I ever ate. It is way better than kfc, churches or any other fast food place that I have went to. The chicken is crispy and tastes very good. The meals come with rolls, fried rice and French fries. This is a diamond in the rough. There are a lot of homeless people around and it doesn’t seem like a place I would feel comfortable dining in.

Chinese food was nasty. I took a plate for my husband and when he taste the food he said… «This food taste like it was from two three days ago». After me tasting it I had to vomit it out! Never gain!!!

Wtf! I was not expecting the taste and quality of a place like this to be so Damn good. The people it attracts have always made me wander elsewhere for food. But today I was really hungry and wanted some chicken and fries. Not only did it exceed my expectations the price for what you get is by far cheap. It’s so good it will make you want to slap your own mama! Going here again once I walk off this food. Definitely feeling the guilt now.

I come here every once in awhile. But after eating the shrimp fried rice, they will be seeing much more of me! The chicken is always good. Crispy, spicy and a little greasy. The SFR is one of the best I’ve tasted. I like that most of the green onions are to the side of the container so if you don’t like them no can avoid them. There were plenty of shrimp in the box and they were a nice size. The rice had the right texture(not mushy). I believe it’s cooked fresh because I had to pull to the side(I was in the drive thru) and wait for it to be delivered to my car. It took only a few minutes. The large box of rice was about $ 7.25. We got 10 pieces of chicken for $ 8.99. Not having to cook = priceless. They are located in a shopping center that also has a Taco Bell, Food 4 Less, Wells Fargo and Baskin Robbins.

minus the bullet proof windows the staf hides behind, the chicken && cat fish is excellent but the fries are ok.

LFC: 1, KFC: 0. After a horrible, foodless experience at La Huasteca in Lynwood, my friends and I were left hungry, grumpy and in an unfamiliar neighborhood. We looked up and found a BBQ place in Compton, but by the time we drove over there, it had just closed. We noticed the flashing lights of «Louisana Fried Chicken» along with«Chinese Food» and decided to give it a try. The staff and food is behind bulletproof glass, which was a bit unsettling, but the chicken was absolutely delicious. 3 of us got the Family Pak with the Cajun Rice and Fries, and 6 dinner rolls. The fries were just okay, but everything else was awesome, and we had leftovers. The chicken was battered in a flavorful, Cajun concoction that wasn’t too greasy and kept all of the juices in just right. If they ever branch out of that neighborhood, the Colonel better watch out.

Aside from the bulletproof coffin the staff hides behind and the apparent detrimental location of this building the fried chicken is pretty damn good. Never ate inside as I always had lunch take-out to bring back to the clinic I was interning at. I never noticed that many people eating inside, but there are tables if you’re that hungry. The main sake of LFC is the fried chicken; the batter has some Cajun spice to it and isn’t greasy like some of the major fried chicken chains. I can’t believe how something so simple like fried chicken batter can make chicken taste so good. However, the fries were a bit soggy and seem to have a «flash frozen» quality to it. That’s the only downfall in my opinion. I’m beginning to believe that simplicity is all that is needed for good, comfort food. No flashy fluorescent signs, eccentric mascots, or even kids running amuck on some hyped out sugar-rush. Eat in at your own risk or revel in take out and test your taste buds either way.
